I connected it to my computer and the desktop software came up and synced the phone and then said that there was a device software update. I clicked to let it update and everything seemed to be fine until it got to right near the end, where it's been stuck for over three hours. I don't want to disconnect my phone, but I also don't have any clue what to do. Can anyone give me some advice?

Have noticed in forum that this is known but for a computer update you just take out this as a back up option but on a wireless update the phone is stuck if I do a battery pull and put itback after few mins it starts again and tries to update is there anyway to cancel update or solve this. tried pluggin into pc but doesnt do anything different.

I cannot get into anything or use the phone. I have pulled the battery out and it goes back to the same thing.
I had notice that it was time for my Torch 9850 to update its software, so I clicked Software Update and began. Last time, my phone went blank and multiple issues occurred. But, it started backing up data around 7 am. But, since then the percentage has stayed at 8%! That was over 6 hrs ago! And its not like its frozen cause if I put the charger in the battery amount and the little lightning bolt comes up as usual. Is the backing up suppose to take this long or is there something really wrong with my phone?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI know my way around PC hardware and OS's.My problem sarted when I went to the T-mobile update. Phone stuck on "downloading update...", blue text on white background. Unable to boot into recovery, but was able to get into download mode. I found the correct ICS firmware update .tar file, but Odin 1.85 will not work. It always sticks on Setup Connection. Others fixed this by using differnt USB port and/or cable. Tried all 10 USB ports, nada; don't have another cable, but I'm out to get one this morning. I assume if I can get to download mode I'm not totally bricked. Only way I can get into d/l mode is to remove the battery, otherwise phone just boots to white update screen.I'm looking at a $200 brick! Wonder if I should just walk in to a T-mobile outlet and demand a fix.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI cracked my screen on my original 1520. AT&T sent a replacement device (via Insurance). As soon as I got the phone, I installed Preview for Developers and checked for phone update. After updating and restarting, the phone is stuck on airplane mode. When you go into settings and try to tap the button to switch to off it doesn't do anything, however, when I swipe it to the left the toggle moves but once you let go it goes right back to the right. You can toggle the airplain mode on/off in the notifications bar but the phone still shows it is on airplane mode with no data or phone service.
I have already turned phone off and on and have also hard resetted the phone to no avail. What is odd is before the update, phone was working fine with phone service and everything, now it's just stuck on airplane mode with no service, but everything else works fine.
I reloaded the OS on my BB Torch 9800 and now when I start the phone it gets stuck on the licence agreement screen. I cannot scroll with either the touch screen or the track pad to accept.

I tried to update it with SE update service but it stuck in the middle of the update and after that it doesn't opens. Only a red light blinks. I checked the battery but it is ok. Like others, I tried the software update, and then my phone constantly got stuck at the four little circles at start up. I followed some instructions I found on AndroidPit:
1. From a powered off state, press the Power button to start your Nexus 5. When you see the Google logo press and hold the Volume Down key and release when the device vibrates.
2. Use the volume keys to highlight Recovery Menu and press the Power button to select. This will bring you to a screen with an Android on its back.
3. Hold the Volume Up key for 5 secs then release and a new menu will appear.
4. First off, you can use the volume keys to select Wipe Cache Partition. This will cause your phone to restart. once this is done, re-do the previous steps to get back to the same screen (the one that Wipe Cache Partition was on).
5. Highlight Wipe Data/Factory Reset and select using the Power key. Scroll down to Yes, Delete All Data and press the Power button again to select.
6. Your Nexus 5 will now wipe your data and reformat.
7. On the next screen hit the Power button to select Reboot System Now.
It has been 40 minutes now and it's stuck on 'Formatting /data'. Is this normal?
I've only had this phone for a couple of months and it was functioning perfectly until now I haven't rooted it or anything.

I downloaded an app last night and as soon as it installed my phone started to reboot.Since then it has just been on a reboot loop. I was told that it was out of warrenty and it was sent back. (Not a problem, I have a broken screen 9800 that I was using to charge my battery in the first place)When I got my device back, it is stuck on a white screen that gives me an option on testing the camera, LED, FLASH, etc.. But it does not give me the option of exiting or anything. When I plug it into Desktop Manager, I get that it doesnt connect and gives the options of retry or upgrade. So I go and press update, it connects and starts working. It gets upto the JVM and then it states that it can not connect to the device.What can I do here? View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently downloaded the new BBM app, and the icon disappeared from my phone.I tried rebooting several times, and it finally appeared, but it wasn't called BBM, rather net_rim_something.When I clicked on it, it said "missing resource files" and wouldn't load.I also noticed that my BBM connected apps (Facebook, etc) were not loading properly.So I backed up my BBM contacts, and deleted and re-installed, but there was no icon again.I checked this forum, and found a similar problem, and the solution was to check if the software needed updating, which would fix the problem.I checked on my Torch, and it said there was an update available, so I downloaded it. It downloaded fine, and then asked if I wanted to install it, and gave a warning message that it might take 2 hours or more.This was fine with me, as I was going to bed soon, and wouldn't be using it.Before I went to bed, I noticed that it was rebooting.I figured I would just leave it and go to bed.When I got up this morning, I noticed it was still rebooting.The white bar would go all the way across, then it would go to a white screen, go black again, and then start over.I checked the forums again, and found a similar issue, which said to pull the battery and replace it. Did so, and it didn't work.I have tried several times, and even left the battery out for 2 hours, in the vain hope this might work.I tried connecting to BlackBerry Desktop to do a restore, but it can't connect to the phone, because it is stuck in reboot.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently got a blackberry torch. I didn't have any problems with it at all until Wednesday and it's still being weird. I will click on something (a picture I want to look at BBM, Facebook, contacts list, etc) and it will go to the loading screen and stay there for a good two minutes - sometimes more every time. It makes it impossible for me to do anything. I tried deleting things that I didn't need, and I checked my memory.. it all seems fine. Like I said, it was always fine, I hadn't done a single thing different, and all of a sudden it started doing this.
I also thought it was because I need to do an update, and I checked and there are updates that need to be done, however I just moved and I cannot find the disc that I got when I got my phone anywhere.
