after the latest os update, system locked-up while starting a Internet video. used the power off app to restart the hung system. now the power off app no longer appears. is this app only restored with an os update or can it be restored separately?
View 1 RepliesMy iPhone 4S will not power off. At the Home screen I press and hold the power button for x seconds and slide the red arrow button across when the 'slide to power off' message appears. The screen goes black and after a few seconds the white spinner appears and the screen goes back again. After 3-4 seconds -without even touching the phone- the Apple logo appears, followed by the Lock screen and the phone has restarted itself.

My power button my my HTC One M7 stopped working. Unfortunately, it is currently powered off. So, even though it has a 100% charge, I can't turn it on b/c that requires that I press down the power button. Here are some of the things I've tried from what I've been able to read online:
1. Starting HTC One M7 in recovery mode: Unfortunately, in order to start an HTC One M7 in recovery mode requires holding down the down volume button + the power button. Without the power button working, this solution won't work to get me started.
2. installing adb and fastboot: I'm running Mac OS X 10.10.5 on a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 MBP (retina, mid 2012) machine and have homebrew installed. I issued brew install android-platform-tools. I then changed my $PATH to include the downloaded adb and fastboot programs.
Once I had that set up, I tried to connect to my device through the USB cable. Unfortunately, I don't believe I had the developer mode turned on that allowed USB mounting (MTP). The phone is running Android 5.0.x. So, when I try running 'adb devices' in terminal, I get the response that there are no devices connected. I try 'adb reboot' but with no devices detected, i get, 'error: device not found.'
I tried using diskutil list to see if there were a way to detect the device as connected to the computer even if it's not mounting. But that didn't work, either.
My Lumia Icon will no longer power off. It restarts every time.

Everything I can find says to hold the power/lock screen button + the home button together, along with a combination of plugging it into the computer/ wall, etc. Unfortunately my power button stopped working ages ago (another common problem it seems), so that method of restarting my phone is out. Aside from the power button issue the phone is in pristine condition, the LCI's are normal, no scratches or cracks. I'm not in a place where I can easily obtain another phone and need it for work purposes,

I just restart my phone because opera stop working and can not close it. so, when my phone is on, I see that two apps just disappear; nimbuzz and uc browser. Also, mobi cant be used and store too. I don't know if another app is not working(just checked store and fmobi) I want to know what happen.

If I pull the battery and leave it for a few hours it would eventually restart and work for a day or two. I did a wipe and re-install and still having problems. Now I can't access app world or emails and some of my settings. Yesterday it froze and still hasn't restarted.

After that, it started to crash and crash over and over with doing automatic restart. I took it to the warranty company which is Axiom in the UAE, well they format it and the same problem still there. Then I returned back to them, so they finally replaced it with NEW one with new PIN code, but guess what... The same problem happened AGAIN !! just by today, it crashed six times !! and yesterday it freeze up completely, so I had to pull out the battery.
Some of my friends told me that the memory card (4GB) might bethe problem, so I bought new one with 8 GB space but still suffering.

Every single time I reboot the Torch all my Favorites go missing. So I go to the apps that I have made Favorite and each one says "Unmark as Favorite". So they are all still Favorites but none will show up in the Favorites tab/folder/thing.It's very annoying. I thought maybe it was a bug in .141, so I upgraded to .161 and it STILL HAPPENS.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOne morning my torch 9860 didnt start and ended up in an infinite restart loop, the LED turns red for 6 seconds then is goes out, and then again red LED then goes out. Screen is always black. I've tried with JL_cmder and BBSAK but it wont recognize the device. I tried to catch it with AppLoader, and I can do the UNKNOWN PIN thing, but then when the JVM is starting to initialize again it will go into an infinite loop again.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought this Torch almost 2 years ago (first model)... Since 2010, there is no critical problem occurred till now, but today my Torch can't be use of these problem. Let me explain the details.
1. I installed Munched (screen capture program), after installed i launced this apps and my bb automatically restarted.
2. Then, after restarted, the bb can be used as usuall and i didnt launch screen muncher apps after (Case 1).
3. Last night, my bb runs properly and there is no problem at all...
4. This Morning, i think to remove the apps (muncher) because i didnt use anymore. Then, i deleted this application using normal procedures. And, as we known, bb must be restart after uninstalling any apps, then i restart.
5. During restarting (loading bar) is stopped at 3/4 bar load.... So, i remove the battery to restart again...
6. After restart, my bb seems ok till it loads menus and other. But it was only for 15 seconds. After 15 seconds, a icon (loading star * like sunflower) appeared.
7. My bb stuck and i can''t use any button / touch screen function. My screen display also won't shut off their light.
8. I've tried to restart almost 6 time (remove battery), but it still same.I can use the menu for 15secs, then it becomes unresponsive.
My girlfriend just got the BlackBerry Torch 9800. She updated the twitter app wich is on the phone. It restarted and now it just shows "App Error 603". When I try to Reset It just goes back to same page with the same error. I already tried force detect with the application loader no success.
