View 2 RepliesI had to restart my Torch 9800 after deleting an application. I pressed "Restart now", it went to the booting/start up screen with the BlackBerry logo and the loading bar at the bottom but then the loading bar froze at the very end.
I tried the ALT + right MAJ + DEL "soft reset" and the battery pull many times but the loading bar kept freezing at the same point everytime. I even removed the battery for a day but nothing changed.
The BlackBerry Desktop Software on my computer recognizes it as a Torch 9800 but is unable to connect to the terminal. I've seen on a forum that you can try to use AppLoader.exe to restore the OS. I'm not sure I did that right though but anyway AppLoader couldn't proceed the step of the connection to my terminal. It recognizes it, asks for the password but can't connect to it. It is kind of as soon as the loading bar freezes, AppLoader is unable to perform anything that could save my Torch.
I've been without BIS for over 3 hours now since i've left my house this morning. It happens everyday and is getting worse Sometimes I lose it for 5 minutes, but 3 hours is ridiculous! I'm still connected to 3G. I can talk on the phone and I can use the browser for internet. But i can't get my work emails and my apps don't work. I tried resending my service books nothing I turned on and off all my services on the phone nothing. I run the connection diagnostics and it says Blackberry Registration: No. I updated to the latest leak .161 and that didn't help.I found a thread on Crack Berry where numerous others are encountering the same issue, so I don't think exchanging the device is going to help. Someone from Blackberry please fix this! This is a serious issue!
View 41 Replies View RelatedI have a Torch 9800, it said I needed to update my blackberry id. When I did this my phone started to freeze and won't restart. If I pull the battery and leave it for a few hours it would eventually restart and work for a day or two. I did a wipe and re-install and still having problems. Now I can't access app world or emails and some of my settings. Yesterday it froze and still hasn't restarted.

View 13 Replies View RelatedEvery single time I reboot the Torch all my Favorites go missing. So I go to the apps that I have made Favorite and each one says "Unmark as Favorite". So they are all still Favorites but none will show up in the Favorites tab/folder/thing.It's very annoying. I thought maybe it was a bug in .141, so I upgraded to .161 and it STILL HAPPENS.

This is not new in terms of programming! What is the problem?? Is there a fix for this or am I stuck setting my wallpaper everytime i reset my phone?? C'mon RIM! This is a ridiculous problem that should of been fix before bringing the phone out! same thing for the 5 - 10 sec freeze after you enter your security password to unlock the phone! As well as the slow processing of cpu for certain activities! I'm sticking with this phone for now but i do not have a great feeling for this phone seriously!
View 12 Replies View RelatedI bought this Torch almost 2 years ago (first model)... Since 2010, there is no critical problem occurred till now, but today my Torch can't be use of these problem. Let me explain the details.
1. I installed Munched (screen capture program), after installed i launced this apps and my bb automatically restarted.
2. Then, after restarted, the bb can be used as usuall and i didnt launch screen muncher apps after (Case 1).
3. Last night, my bb runs properly and there is no problem at all...
4. This Morning, i think to remove the apps (muncher) because i didnt use anymore. Then, i deleted this application using normal procedures. And, as we known, bb must be restart after uninstalling any apps, then i restart.
5. During restarting (loading bar) is stopped at 3/4 bar load.... So, i remove the battery to restart again...
6. After restart, my bb seems ok till it loads menus and other. But it was only for 15 seconds. After 15 seconds, a icon (loading star * like sunflower) appeared.
7. My bb stuck and i can''t use any button / touch screen function. My screen display also won't shut off their light.
8. I've tried to restart almost 6 time (remove battery), but it still same.I can use the menu for 15secs, then it becomes unresponsive.
Decided to update my Version 6 software it has locked up at loading application modules. I did not unplug it!

View 3 Replies View RelatedOur wireless at work has a mac table setup with unique keys so anytime someone forgets/otherwise screws up their wifi connection they come to have it reset... Everytime I make a comment about how they are really only draining their battery by leaving wifi enabled 24/7 yet they continue to do it..
SO - what do you use WiFi for?
I know there are some (very, very few) apps that require a wifi connection..
Facetime requires WiFi but at this point it's more of a novelty than anything else..
Throughput is a little better but not enough to justify the additional battery drain..
The hotspot app (as soon as the IP4 jailbreak is released..)
Checking mail/browsing the net in an area with no at&t service..
That is all that comes to mind.. I think they just like to enable it because they can, but let me know if I'm missing anything?
Lately I've been leaving 3G on and the battery seems to drain rapidly fast, even when I have it locked it drains quiet a lot and sometimes it also lags. I have a iPhone 3GS and I was thinking whether erasing and restoring it back to normal would work maybe.

I had been using my Z2 for 1 and a half year. everything goes very fine until dew days ago. It suddenly goes into blackscreen while pressing power button/ power + vol. up does not work. I need to dock/charge it for like few secs to make it "alive". I tried reset phone to factory settings, and it still the same.
Tried repair through Sony PC Companion, but it takes FOREVER to download and i just give up this (I have totally no issue at all with my connection. I was browsing youtube, playing games, scrolling facebook etc. without any internet latency problems so definitely will not be my network problem). Then today, it restarted again, so i tried docking it (it was abt 90% remaining). once i dock it, it displays with very low battery (its like less than 10%).....
I leave my WiFi constantly turned on on my phone. I use WiFi at home and work so it will automatically connect when I'm in those 2 places, but anywhere else it isn't connected. Is it still using battery even if its not connected? Does it search for a connection when its not connected, sort of like the radios searching for a cellular signal?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently got a blackberry torch. I didn't have any problems with it at all until Wednesday and it's still being weird. I will click on something (a picture I want to look at BBM, Facebook, contacts list, etc) and it will go to the loading screen and stay there for a good two minutes - sometimes more every time. It makes it impossible for me to do anything. I tried deleting things that I didn't need, and I checked my memory.. it all seems fine. Like I said, it was always fine, I hadn't done a single thing different, and all of a sudden it started doing this.
I also thought it was because I need to do an update, and I checked and there are updates that need to be done, however I just moved and I cannot find the disc that I got when I got my phone anywhere.
After i deleted an app called IM+ my phone rebooted and has been stuck on this black loading screen with the white lettering Blackberry logo and name. The status bar goes to the top...THEN IT REPEATS IN A NEVERENDING LOOP! Even when i start Blackberry Desktop it of course wont even connect to my device because it is not loaded.

Just recently, my 9810 stopped leaving email on my server. I am using a POP 3 server through AT&T. I use Outlook on my laptop and want all my email aggregated there (I remove from server when I pull it there). I was under the impression that BB always left mail on the server and I cannot find a setting anywhere to make me beleive otherwise. Also, this is not mail that I have deleted on my handheld, it is still in BB inbox - just not popping into my desktop as it should if it were still on the server.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had an issue with my Torch 9800 smartphone, my phone booted and show a battery Icon with 2red lines across it. I have tried to wipe the OS with BBSAK 1.8.0, 1.8.2, 1.9.2 , JL_CMDR and Java Loader, none of this work for me, as they all fail to connect to my device. BBSAK could not detect my device. But BB desktop Manager can connect, detect and recongnise my device. When I try to update and reload the OS with DM and BB application loader, I get stuck up with an error message: "Reconnecting to JVM". My Laptop HP Pavilion dm4 Notebook is running 64-bit / Window 7.
