View 13 Replies View RelatedI had to restart my Torch 9800 after deleting an application. I pressed "Restart now", it went to the booting/start up screen with the BlackBerry logo and the loading bar at the bottom but then the loading bar froze at the very end.
I tried the ALT + right MAJ + DEL "soft reset" and the battery pull many times but the loading bar kept freezing at the same point everytime. I even removed the battery for a day but nothing changed.
The BlackBerry Desktop Software on my computer recognizes it as a Torch 9800 but is unable to connect to the terminal. I've seen on a forum that you can try to use AppLoader.exe to restore the OS. I'm not sure I did that right though but anyway AppLoader couldn't proceed the step of the connection to my terminal. It recognizes it, asks for the password but can't connect to it. It is kind of as soon as the loading bar freezes, AppLoader is unable to perform anything that could save my Torch.
Decided to update my Version 6 software it has locked up at loading application modules. I did not unplug it!

The touch screen is fine no problems at all i presumed that it had broken and that was that...then one morning my screen flashed black l(like it had been locked) and the keyboard started working then after 5 mins it stopped. This has happened for the past 3 mornings now so i thought it could poss be a software issue. I have rebooted my phone (bat pull) done a full wipe of everything and still no joy
My device version is v6.0.0.246 bundle 695 it says it is the latest software

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my BB Torch 9800 for about 6 months now and I really like it. It seemed to be working fine and all of a sudden about a month ago the keys would stop working. I have taken the battery out for a reset and that works for a little while, but they stop working again. The phone has not water or physical damage to it so I have no idea why it has started doing this. I called AT&T several different times and all they could tell me was to troubleshoot the software. I have done that and did all of the necessary updates.

As every other touchscreen phone on the market has a pattern unlock method, this is the single issue preventing from purchasing this phone(s) PLEASE ISSUE AN UPDATE/APP/PATCH anything to bring this vital security & efficiency issue up to par.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy PC has Windows 7 64-bit Pro, also has Windows XP Mode (Virtual PC). On Windows 7, I installed Nokia PC Suite 7.1.40.6, coming with Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver 7.1.23.0. When I connect Nokia N95 as USB modem, I can download for a short period about 20 - 40 seconds. Download speed is approx 2.8 - 3 Mbps and 350 kbps for upload. After that data loading seems to be stopped. So I have to disconnect and re-dial again to make it work for another short period. Sometimes, when I changed COM port settings to toggle between use and not use FIFO buffer, it seemed to help prolong the connection a little longer. But finally it will stop anyway.
However on the same PC, in Windows XP Mode, I installed Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver 7.1.22.0, I do not have any connection problem with USB modem (attached to XP). I can download / upload data with no issues. Slower data speed in XP mode (1.5-1.7 Mbps) seems to be normal anyway. It seems to me that the driver may have issue with data flow control and or error correction with Windows 7. I suspect that Nokia cable driver may not be fully compatible with Windows 7 yet. Is there anyone having the same issue with Windows 7?
My 8520 browser has suddenly stopped loading Internet pages.
When ever I try and access the Internet or click a link, the Browser opens up says "requesting" and then "loading" - the Blue Bar starts to slowly load up at the bottom of the screen - and thats it, nothing else happensthe screen remains blank, the Blue bar loads up and ... nothing.
My Mobile plan allows me Internet 2G acess and I also have Wi-Fi - all of which has been working perfectly for 8 months until now.
Wi-Fi and 2G internet appears to work perfectly for my Twitter app and my Emails come thru fine too.
My browser stopped working - every time i try to go to a website, the browser screen remains white and says "loading" on the bar at the bottom, although the bar does not fill up. All of my other internet programs are working, email, apps, etc.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have already installed the new Desktop Manager 6.0 that I downloaded from the RIM site.
I am thinking the safest way to not have a problem is the just restore my 9800 data from a back up rather than do the Switch Device thing. Anyone worried it might bring erroneous crap into the new 6.0 OS.
Maybe it would be better to redo my settings after the data install to make sure all is clean and working correctly. Some of the 5.0 setting would not be applicable to the new 6.0 software.
Title speaks for its self. They just posted on there wall they will be offering it. No details as to when/price.

when i first got my blackberry torch 9860 i had problems from the very start, the loading sign kept showing up and causing my phone to freeze, so i rang up my network and they sent me a new one. The new one has been fine for around a month but now out of the blue the loading sign keeps showing up again and making it diffacult to use my phone. I havnt dropped my phone and i have only 1 app that i have downloaded which ive had since i got my new phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently got a blackberry torch. I didn't have any problems with it at all until Wednesday and it's still being weird. I will click on something (a picture I want to look at BBM, Facebook, contacts list, etc) and it will go to the loading screen and stay there for a good two minutes - sometimes more every time. It makes it impossible for me to do anything. I tried deleting things that I didn't need, and I checked my memory.. it all seems fine. Like I said, it was always fine, I hadn't done a single thing different, and all of a sudden it started doing this.
I also thought it was because I need to do an update, and I checked and there are updates that need to be done, however I just moved and I cannot find the disc that I got when I got my phone anywhere.
After i deleted an app called IM+ my phone rebooted and has been stuck on this black loading screen with the white lettering Blackberry logo and name. The status bar goes to the top...THEN IT REPEATS IN A NEVERENDING LOOP! Even when i start Blackberry Desktop it of course wont even connect to my device because it is not loaded.
