Nokia :: N95 USB Modem Windows 7 - Data Loading Stopped

My PC has Windows 7 64-bit Pro, also has Windows XP Mode (Virtual PC). On Windows 7, I installed Nokia PC Suite 7.1.40.6, coming with Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver 7.1.23.0. When I connect Nokia N95 as USB modem, I can download for a short period about 20 - 40 seconds. Download speed is approx 2.8 - 3 Mbps and 350 kbps for upload. After that data loading seems to be stopped. So I have to disconnect and re-dial again to make it work for another short period. Sometimes, when I changed COM port settings to toggle between use and not use FIFO buffer, it seemed to help prolong the connection a little longer. But finally it will stop anyway.
However on the same PC, in Windows XP Mode, I installed Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver 7.1.22.0, I do not have any connection problem with USB modem (attached to XP). I can download / upload data with no issues. Slower data speed in XP mode (1.5-1.7 Mbps) seems to be normal anyway. It seems to me that the driver may have issue with data flow control and or error correction with Windows 7. I suspect that Nokia cable driver may not be fully compatible with Windows 7 yet. Is there anyone having the same issue with Windows 7?

I have a 3 year old Nokia N72, in excellent condition except the paint. I dont have any problems with my phone as such for calling purposes.But I do have problems connecting to internet via my PC running windows 7. All the drivers are correctly installed but the phone wont dial a connection. I get the error.Error 692: There was a hardware failure in the modem (or other connecting device).

Previously I was using Nokia E7 from which I can use device as modem and can connect to internet on PC via USB cable thru Nokia PC Suite, Now I have change my device and using Nokia Lumia 610. How can use this device as modem and can connect to internet on PC via USB cable as this iphone does not connect to PC Suite and Zune in only used for media and photo sharing purpose. I got a Lumia 800 about two months ago. I did have a problem getting the Internet to work. It took me a day and some intense googling but I got it to work. It has worked fine.Day before yesterday, the Zune software(music player of the phone) stopped updating. I was instructed to reset my phone. Since then I have not been able to figure out to get the data working on my phone.I've tried several things. I've been in the apn settings many many times. I've tried it with apn:simple and everything else blank. I want to say there was settings other than APN that made it work.

If I'd like to use E52 as data modem, I suppose I can connect the PC to E52 over bluetooth (dial-up profile) and in this way to provide my PC with an Internet connection (over E52).But is that possible via much faster WLAN?

My Nokia X2-00 cannot work as Data modem by connecting the Handset with the PC using Bluetooth connection. But With USB cable connection it can work. What is the problem with bluetooth. All other features are ok with Bluetooth but the "connect to Internet" option disabled under tools menu while connecting with Blue tooth.

When in Stockholm I have access to an elder Windows computer wit XP. I want to use my iPhone 3GS as a modem instead of transporting my own mac from home. I heard I just needed to install iTunes on the Windows computer, but the latest version is to refined. I found iTunes 8 on the Apple support pages, but the download button wasn't linked anywhere. If iTunes 8 for Windows would be all I need - where do I get it?

I am having problem tethering my bold 9700 to my pc for use as a modem. I am on Tmobile service and am running Vista OS. I called Tmobile and was told that while they no longer support it, it could be done but that Tmobile would not provide me with directions to do so. Is there anyone out there that can give a technology challenged nerd like me step by step instructions to tether my 9700 to my pc with Windows vista. I have searched the forums and cannot find anything that fits what I need, instructions given are for other carriers than Tmobile and/or for Mac OS or Windows XP. Since I live in Nepal the authorized reseller said that it should be exchanged in the place where there is an apple store . And my 1 year warranty has also not finished. no files are appearing on my laptop screen when I plug it in via USB. It registers the phone as a nexus but none of the phone files are showing up. I have just updated to 6.0 Marshmallow, could this be the reason? the other posts are not useful as the setting screens have changed.

My laptop OS is windows. I've followed LG G4 manual (online instructions) to load music from my laptop, but it won't. The driver install seemed to work until the last item...and now I can't retrieve it to tell you exactly what that item was that "failed." how to get iTunes library (at least pieces of it) to the G4?

My 8520 browser has suddenly stopped loading Internet pages.
When ever I try and access the Internet or click a link, the Browser opens up says "requesting" and then "loading" - the Blue Bar starts to slowly load up at the bottom of the screen - and thats it, nothing else happensthe screen remains blank, the Blue bar loads up and ... nothing.
My Mobile plan allows me Internet 2G acess and I also have Wi-Fi - all of which has been working perfectly for 8 months until now.
Wi-Fi and 2G internet appears to work perfectly for my Twitter app and my Emails come thru fine too.

Around 7:20 every morning, my iPhone just stops loading data. I'm able to receive & send data up to about that time. Then it just dies & doesn't do anything...no texts, emails, in game data, nothing. I have full bars & the 4G icon displays when this happens. It will usually take 2 reboots of the phone to get it to work again.
This has been going on for quite a while & frankly I'm getting sick of it. It seems to have started ever since I upgraded to the new stinkin' iOS version 5.1.1.
It's frustrating to have the phone simply stop transferring data for no apparent reason. And it definitely shouldn't take 2 reboots of the phone on a daily basis to get it to work again.

I'm trying to download my music but WP8 uses the Windows Phone App client in Windows 8. Wll, when I tried connecting my phone, it says "Your phone is having troubles" error message. The instruction says to power off the phone. But no luck. Tried searching MS community but nothing there (but I won't rule out I didn't search well. Also, I posted the same question there and waiting for a response.)

I recently picked up an LG Optimus 7 (Telus) and have noticed that idle data usage is around 2-5MB per hour! (Determined under data usage after logging into [URL]This seems quite excessive to me - what exactly is being transferred? This even happens at night when I'm not getting any emails at all!Here is what I have linked on my phone:
1. 1 GMAIL address (IMAP with Calendar and Contacts Sync'd)
2. 1 Yahoo(Rogers) email address (IMAP)
3. The Weather Channel app that updates the weather in a tile
Is there anything I should check/tweak to reduce this?

i have recently switched from an expensive iphone contract down to a cheaper contract with a lumia 800 (for budget reasons). the main problem i will be facing is managing a small monthly allowance of data and wanted some advice.on my old contract i had 700mb a month which i regulary went over (despite having wifi at home) and this contract only has 250mb a month, quite a step down! my main qeustion is how much do you really get for 250mb? obviously having my people section linked with facebook and twitter etc would eat data when it updates so i don't have any of that setup. are there any standard apps that use data without you realizing that i should remove or turn off? how much browsing and perhaps Internet streaming you could get ut of 250mb?i have to make this work and change my ways of browsing the net out and about and needlessly watching videos on 3g as i can no longer afford not to.

I searched the posted messages, but I didn't find the same problem. I´m using my cellphone (Nokia E63) as a modem for my computer, connected with the Nokia CA-101 cable. The local company offers until 1Mb/sec download speed, but most of the time it comes with only 200b/sec. Sending is with 128Kb/sec, but the max download speed is 52Kb/sec. I think it´s somewhere in the drivers, but unfortunately I don´t know where. I was 3 times with the local phone company, but they cann´t (will not) help me. Anybody knows an answer?
