Mar 11, 2012I cannot get my new torch 9810 to charge with a usb car charger. All the ones I have tried (4 brands) do not work. The phone does not recognize them as a charging source. They will charge my ipad, iphone 4s , curve and torch 9800 but not my 9810. I am reluctant to buy a charger for this phone only. Fustrated again with BB.

Aug 21, 2011i unlocked my BlackBerry Torch at ProMobileMotion.com which was recommended somewhere on these forums , i used to have an issue with my Unlocked Torch before going there, i wasn't able to recieve or send MMS or use the browser, after getting the unlock from that site, everything works including facebook FINALLY! My question is, when i go over seas, which i tend to do at least once a year, and i put a new sim card in, will i need to reconfigure my settings again? or will the browser and mms automatically work with no issue?

Jan 8, 2012We have a BB wall charger (not 3rd party). It works perfectly with my Bold 9700 and it used to work with the Torch as well.All of a sudden it started not to charge the Torch (wall charger). You plug it in and there is no response from the phone whatsoever.But, if you plug it to your PC/Laptop it charges through the USB power.Another thing we noticed is that it no longer gives you any options like "usb drive" "sync media" or "charge only". Also, it is a bit wiggly on the phone side (fitting of the microUSB plug). It wasn't as wiggly before the problems, but there doesn't seem to be any obvious physical damage or any reason for a damage (as much as we know).

I have tried to wipe the OS with BBSAK 1.8.0, 1.8.2, 1.9.2 , JL_CMDR and Java Loader, none of this work for me, as they all fail to connect to my device. BBSAK could not detect my device. Nov 15, 2012For the past week or so my Torch has been having rapid battery drains from about 50% where it beeps and says "battery depleted, switching off" and turns itself off!
Sometimes it wont turn back on until plugged into the charger, while others it will turn back on again after a while, and shows 50% battery again. But if you try and do anything like use the camera, surf the net or go on facebook, it turns off again. The fact it still shows 50% just before 'draining' and again when turned on tells me this is not a real problem with the battery but something to do with software?
I have tried restarting the phone, turning it off and doing battery pulls, doing battery pulls while it's turned on or while its turned on and plugged into the charger
I have disabled the compression storage option, checked my CPU usage which seems normal (nothing is running using a lot of CPU), deleted apps which I thought may be causing the issue (with reboots in between), no apps are open in the background running all the time...
Recently App world asked me to do an upgrade to 4.0.0.63. When I did this, the App world icon had disappeared from my phone (not hidden or anything, it was visable in application management, but the icon was nowhere on the phone). I found a forum which suggested I re-downgrade back to app world version 4.0.0.55 to solve this issue. That is what I did, and the app world icon reappeared.
Since these app world updates, this is when the battery drain issue on my phone has been occuring.My phone Blackberry OS is: 9800/6.0.0.246
I am in Australia, so not sure if this affects any OS updates or anything. who knows anything about the best way to resolve this issue. Having an unreliable phone is frustrating, and very inconveneient when out with no charger (no one wants to have to carry their charger everywhere, nor should they.
