i have torch 9810. I am experencing this issue of batter drain out very fast without having active wifi and BT.
this is happening after i have update to newely release OS 7 update version:

I am having a huge problem with my torch 9810, when I first bought the phone, I was having this problem, but after a while it stopped, but two days ago I was hanging out with my friends, the phone was in my pocket, the data service was off, so I wasn't using it, I took the phone out of my pocket to check the time, the phone was burning from the heat. I thought it was gonna explode or something, and the battery was fully charged, but when that happende, the battery was drained to the last red part.

I am using Xperia Neo for more than a year. The battery was fine, it usually lasted for 1.5 days with my usual use. After that, my battery runs out / drains. All apps are closed properly and wifi and bluetooth off.
I've had my BB Curve for about a year and a half now. Last night, I went to charge my BB after the battery had drained to find on the screen a drained battery icon with a red cross/line through it. I had reloaded the set up on my phone and it still does not work and it seems that the white loading bar under the icon still loads after it has appeared and stops at around 75%.Will a new battery fix this?As I have said, I have reloaded and wiped everything on my phone and I have also tried the 'take out the battery while it's charged, put it back in method', nothing happened.

But for the past two days, I notice some problems with my phone which were not here before. ( I am in US, BTW) Extreamely short battery life. Before anna, I only needs to charge my phone every 2 days. Now, a full battery can only last for, T-Mobile 3G/Data keeps failing. Once in a while, I have to restart my phone because T-Mobile service failed. no connect. can not get online, or make phone calls. I have to restart my phone to get service back.

I also ran all the recommendations in URL... but it is still the same. My only guess is that some updated app is taking away the battery but don't have a clue of which one.Â

I have tried taking the battery out to reset it and I also closed open apps I am not using but nothing seems to work.My phone has drained its battery 3 times already today and I only charge it when the battery is super low which is usually 1-2 days. I only use the phone for personal use and do not have a lot of apps on it.All this started last night out of the blue. It was fine all day yesterday.It is also constantly timing out. I will type a BBM to someone and every 3 words, I see the little clock ticking Lastly, I noticed while I was talking on it a few minutes ago, it got really hot which I haven't noticed before (I had it plugged in since it's not keeping a charge). Is this related to the recent issues or does this mean my phone is done? I have only had it a year and my husband who uses his way more than I do usually has his for 2 years.I think this info shows in my profile but if not, I am on AT&T, I have the 9800.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been having intermittent problems with fast battery drain before and after upgrading my Samsung Galaxy S2 to ICS. In fact the reason why I upgraded to ICS is to see if it would fix it. Most of the articles I have read on the net are about people who have problems after the upgrade, which is why I am left puzzled. Often I leave my phone unplugged during the night and it has almost completely drained by the morning. here is some more information:
- In the battery stats my Android OS percentage is always high (60% +)
- I am always careful with trying to preserve battery life, for example setting the backlight to minimum brightness and closing applications which are running in the background
- I have gone for months where the battery has been fine, but cant seem to spot a trend
When I plug this unit into any charger (wall or USB), the charging icon shows up (battery with th lightning bolt) shows up and the clock (screen saver) also gets activated as normal, but after 10-15 seconds the chrging indicator goes and it shows as if the unit is not charging.But I know that the handset is getting charged as I can use it easily for a day long as per the normal battery life.So effectively the unit always shows an empty battery icon (Red outlined hollow battery icon always) and the LED always blinks amber. But th ephone works normal except than this.
Also if I do a battery pull out and reinsert it, after boot up the battery shows 100% but the icon and battery level indicators drop back to 1% and empty battery icon within 15-20 mins with the phone continuing it's normal opeartion ith the empty battery icon (down to 1%)This is causing a lot of trouble as I never know what is the actual battery level and poses problem when I do not charge and the battery is actually low The unit is out of warranty and BB guys have refused to repair. I'm using the default theme and have not changes the theme so I can rule out the issues of 3rd party theme icons.
i bought used blackberry 9800 unlocked and im using fido network. device was wroking perfect and battery was good too but what happened couple of days before i was at work and i saw my phone had 507 error and mentioning that reload software and than i installed it with blackberry desktop software by clicking on update ,After update everything was working good but battery goes to hell even if i dont touch the phone i mean i charged it 100% and i didnt used it but battery goes 5% down after couple of minutes

I thought I had a battery issue so I replaced the battery. The phone acts exactly the same. I turn everything off at 7pm in the evening with almost a full charge, when I turn it on at 5am the following the battery is discharged down to the 15% level. Nothing is running while the phone is sitting overnight?
