Jul 5, 2012My Bold 9900 loses power and can not get recharged, I tried to remove battery also reset unfortunately not working. I got this phone a couple of months ago.

RIM :: 9900 Won't Charge Except Via Computer Usb Or Power
Jan 12, 2012I have two usbs in my car. One directly to my audio system and other is a cigarette lighter to usb (2.1amp). Both won't charge my BB9900 but it charged my BB9360 curve and my friends BB8300..
On the usb connected to the radio i get a pop up saying this usb doesn't have enough power to charge, on the inverter (Cigarette lighter to usb) nothing happens as if the USB isn't connected to anything.

Feb 2, 2012Last night my 9900 died. I plugged it in to charge it and when I woke up this am the screen was black and the red light was flashing intermittantly. I have tried pulling the battery, I have tried connecting it to desktop manager.
I really do not want to lose all my contacts as I use this device for work.

Dec 6, 2012I have had my 9900 for just over a year after upgrade from a 9000. I loved the phone until two weeks ago I did a upgrade to Blackberry Appworld. Once the upgrade completed it asked for a restart and then the phone became a brick. It would not restart and the red light just flashes. After contacting support and following suggestions to try and make the phone connect to the desktop software without success I took the phone back to Rogers who sent it away to the repair shop. The result... not able to be repaired. Somehow this is now the customers problem because something that no one can identify went wrong with the software upgrade process. No support from Blackberry just what Rogers has to offer which is that I can do an early upgrade to another phone for more money.

May 7, 2012I bought my bb9900 2 weeks ago. It is too new. But when I woke up in the morning I saw my bb didn't work. There is no power as well as there is no light on led. Sep 17, 2012I use my 9900 for listening to music whilst running, yesterday it rained and although it was in my pocket there was a lot of moisture on the phone (yes my fault I know) anyway phone was working OK then it went off so I took the back off made sure the battery area was dry and it started up OK. I though all was well till I plugged it in to the mains charger when it switched off and now won't start. Also after around 20 seconds there is a battery icon with a red cross come up over it ?I have taken it apart and it all appeared dry but it refuses to start, I have tried plugging it in to PC with USB and mails lead and neither make a difference. As usual the last back up was a couple of weeks ago with all latest appointments

Dec 29, 2011I drained my battery and now my Bold 9900 won't charge at all. The store told me it was the device and we even tried using another battery. Still no charge, but this time, at least the charging light came on for a very short time. Since I have very small crack in the screen, they say the warranty is voided. So I have a phone less than a year old that is dead and I have no recourse?

Nov 11, 2011I bought my BB Bold 9900 10 months ago and I never had problems charging my device. But just the other day, when i got home and charged it, when i woke up, Led - RED light blinking and wont turn on. I used a different charger ( brand new) but still the same. I tried connecting it to my laptop to charge but still, no good. BB desktop says that device was not connected (obviously since it has no power). I searched online and tried the "kickstart" they're saying where in I have to charge my phone for 2 hrs and remove battery for 10 mins and put the battery back and wait for another 2 hrs - still no good . Although when i tried that, I saw the charging icon for a few secs during the first 2 hrs but didnt see it again.
Has anyone got a suggestion? Would you know if I need to replace my battery or have this fixed? We dont have BB service center here in the Phillipines. Dealer would normally send the device to Singapore to have it checked/fixed. I cant afford not to have my phone because of my job and I have files stored in it..<sigh>

Aug 8, 2012my bold 9900 screen will only work when on charge.when unplugged it freezes,goes dull and wont respond.if you plug it back in it still does not work. it wont turn off.if you leave it to go flat or remove battery then plug it in it turns on again!

Nov 22, 2011This is the 2nd blackberry iv had with this problem.. The phone ran out of charge so when I put it on charge and went to turn it on nothing happened. I removed the battery to reset it and now a red LCD light is flashing and the phone starts to turn on you know when you first turn it on and it says blackberry then the line starts to load it just keeps doing that! I can't go to my network provider at the moment because im in Australia!

Suddenly without updating anything i plugged it in my computer to charge it and as soon as i connect the connector the phone shuts down with the red light flashing. Apr 20, 2011I updated from 7.0 to 7.1 and just noticed that a number of my calendar entries are missing.I'm not entirely sure when this happened.I don't think it happened at the time of updating to the new OS but it's possible.I received an "out of application memory" error message a week ago and have read that people have encountered a loss of data with such an error.I did a backup of my data on May 17th before upgrading to 7.1 calendar entries = 800, today calendar entries = 369.Since I use my device on a BES all entries associated with the BES account appear to be intact but I've lost all other entries.When I went to restore the calendar entries only from the backup it is greyed out indicating that these are "read only data types and cannot be restored" when selecting "Select Data to Restore/Select device data and settings" as opposed to "All device data and settings".Unsure how to proceed - clearly the data is present in the backup based on the entry value do I need to do a full restore and rollback to 7.0? in order to recover the calendar entries??

I bought my HTC One from Phones 4u last September and to my luck, when my phone has problems, the company stops functioning. I have tried using different cables/plugs to charge but to no avail.
