Occassionally when I plug my charger into my phone, I get an error message and the phone doesn't start to charge. I have to do a battery pull and wait for the phone to start up again before I can plug in the charger and have it properly charge.
I am running into an issue, periodically, where my Torch 9800 appears to be charging when placed within my dock, but loses battery life (appears to actually drain the battery) over the course of an evening if shut off. This never used to be the case, as the device would charge regardless of whether it remained on or was shut off. I also cannot rely on the flashing light (when put in charger) as the device does not do this on occasion, even when it does appear to be charging. I am wondering if this is a common occurance and whether there is anything I can do to ensure this problem is fixed, as I would like to rely on my Torch as an alarm clock, but need to know that the battery will not die over the course of an evening.
I drained my battery and now my Bold 9900 won't charge at all. The store told me it was the device and we even tried using another battery. Still no charge, but this time, at least the charging light came on for a very short time. Since I have very small crack in the screen, they say the warranty is voided. So I have a phone less than a year old that is dead and I have no recourse?
I bought my BB Bold 9900 10 months ago and I never had problems charging my device. But just the other day, when i got home and charged it, when i woke up, Led - RED light blinking and wont turn on. I used a different charger ( brand new) but still the same. I tried connecting it to my laptop to charge but still, no good. BB desktop says that device was not connected (obviously since it has no power). I searched online and tried the "kickstart" they're saying where in I have to charge my phone for 2 hrs and remove battery for 10 mins and put the battery back and wait for another 2 hrs - still no good . Although when i tried that, I saw the charging icon for a few secs during the first 2 hrs but didnt see it again.
Has anyone got a suggestion? Would you know if I need to replace my battery or have this fixed? We dont have BB service center here in the Phillipines. Dealer would normally send the device to Singapore to have it checked/fixed. I cant afford not to have my phone because of my job and I have files stored in it..<sigh>
my bold 9900 screen will only work when on charge.when unplugged it freezes,goes dull and wont respond.if you plug it back in it still does not work. it wont turn off.if you leave it to go flat or remove battery then plug it in it turns on again!
This is the 2nd blackberry iv had with this problem.. The phone ran out of charge so when I put it on charge and went to turn it on nothing happened. I removed the battery to reset it and now a red LCD light is flashing and the phone starts to turn on you know when you first turn it on and it says blackberry then the line starts to load it just keeps doing that! I can't go to my network provider at the moment because im in Australia!
my phone did not pick up a charge and kept showing the lightning bolt then no bolt and repeating over and over every ten minutes not my phone has died and i can no longer use it because it wont charge. i have to spend 30 minutes finding a position for the phone to actually charge and now i cant use it.
My blackberry bold 9900 froze while it was charging, wasn't responding to the ctrl + alt + delete command so I took the battery out for it to restart and it wouldn't turn on neither would it flash the LED light. I've done everything from plugging in the wall charger to plugging in it into the computer nothing will work. No LED lights or anything.
my blackberry bold 9900 wont charge and wont turn on. when i plug it into the wall a blank battery icon pops up and a red 'X'. i need someone to give me a way to try and make my phone work. this has happened in the past and my phone has worked after 3 hours.my phone has now been on charge for 18 hours and it still wont turn on. got a new battery and the same icon and red 'x' comes up still.
Well I have a 9900 Bold. Suddenly without updating anything i plugged it in my computer to charge it and as soon as i connect the connector the phone shuts down with the red light flashing. I reopen the phone to charge it into the wall... Same thing as soon as the connecter enters, phone crash. So I have no way to charge it. I thought it was a battery default so I bought a new battery. Same thing happen, In anything i try to connect the phone it crashes. I wanted to reset the OS but how can i do it if i cant plug the phone.
I recently bought a blackberry bold 9900 and the battery was very low so the next thing I noticed is that it switched off and when I tried to charge it it started to reboot but then it reached half way and stopped right there. Later I tired to remove the battery a reinsert it and then put it on the charger but no red light appeared and the phone would not charge or switch on at all...

While I've seen the release of the software online, my software update shows the message: "your blackberry is up to date" while my software version is 7.0.0 bundle 1346. I have sent the device to the dealer, tried online solutions and couldn't do it. The bizarre thing is that others having the same device are able to update to 7.1 while I can't.
Iam using blackberry bold 9900 . Iam not able to login with blackberry id login its giving a message " unable to login to your blackberry ID account " . But i can login to my account through website but can not login through the phone.
I received a Bold 9900 handset via RIM EPP program. It came with installed software version 7.0 Bundle 2395(v. 188.8.131.529, Platform 184.108.40.2065). I am having trouble with using Appworld and among other things sudden resets to handset. Have tried couple of time to upgrade the handset to 7.1 software using both desktop manager as well as OTA mode, it always tells me you have latest build installed. if there is a way to update this handset as it is not working very well for me at present.
The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is BlackBerry's best smartphone but it has no Skype. There is Skype for Verizon phones but it doesn't work on the bold 9900.Will Skype come out for 9900? Is There another way to download Skype?

I have a BMW with a USB connection in the middle armrest. I used to connect my Torch 9800 and then it used to prompt for [mass storage / media sync / charge only]. After choosing "media sync" it worked perfectly fine: I could leave the BB inside the armrest and control everything on my car stereo.
One week ago I started using the Bold 9900 and it doesn't work like that anymore. I am still being prompted to choose one of those 3 options and then enter my password. But after I do so, the "media sync" option doesn't give any result. The car stereo says that there is "no USB device connected" whereas in fact it is.Only option remaining is to choose "mass storage". But that gives me a crappy interface on the car stereo's display. I have to dig deep into the BB or media card's folder structure. With the 9800 and "media sync" I could always just search by artist, title or playlist (like I configured in iTunes).why this is not working on the new BB 9900 and it is on the 1-year old 9800?BTW I tried both saving my music on the memory card and on the device itself.
My battery was going on my phone so I went and got the charger and on my return my phone had died. I plugged this in and gave it the 5 mins to charge up a bit. However when this had loaded and turned on - my screen was locked. I clicked the side button to unlock this which asked me to type my password in! It wont allow me to typeit in .... its like my phone doesnt pick up the buttons I am pressing. After turning this on and off several times whilst also taking the sim card out etc etc it still wont allow me to do get in my phone.
I am trying to back up all my data before doing a security swipe (impossible to connect to BBID and this seems to be the only solution...) but Blackberry Protect isn't working online (it says my phone is busy and the back up cannot be completed).I've tried to back up via my software but none of my contacts, pics, calendars or tasks appear when I click on the logo. I cannot even update the phone's software as nothing seems to work... I cannot use my phone properly and there is no way to call IRM (O2 said they could not help, great...).
BB says we can download apps for the interruption but.... with the bold 9900 for example the Shazam app does not even exist...Linked in.... does not exist either. When will bb ENABLE these apps. You can easily say hey we are going to offer free apps.. that are not downloadable!
