View 3 RepliesI just updated and configured my brand new Bold 9900 OS 7.0 Bundle 2406 for my Bluetooth devices and two of them that previously worked have issues. They pair perfectly but both devices are unable to connect a ringing call, disconnect a call in progress or initiate a phone call. If I answer or place a call from the phone, the Bluetooth device engages but the voice is only one direction. I have tried turning Encryption on & off under the device properties and no difference. I have verified the one Motorola device is listed as Compatible with my bold so what's up here?

Now am back home, I tried using by new phone and it just won't connect to the Bis service, at 1st I thought it was a network issue, so I contacted my service provided.. Until they discovered I can't get a data coverage.. I tried many way to get it to work and I can.. There no way I can return it back to the point of sales coz I got it when I travelled out..
View 8 Replies View RelatedI bought the new bb bold 9900 the other day upgrading from my bold 9700 well apparently the woman didn't understand that I could transfer all my stuff and set up myself. so she set up a new ID for me and now I can't sign into my old account through my phone and all the apps I had DL I can't access and apparently have to pay for again?how do I get rid of this new ID and set my old ID on my new phone and have all my apps again?

I have to pull the battery and restart the phone then it will connect automatically. I don't have any mobile service at my house and am dependent on using UMA over wifi to receive calls so I'd like to get this sorted.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm currently abroad and all my phones services have been working completely fine on wifi however yesterday i left the data services on but switched off the whilst roaming option. I also tried to insert a new sim where it brought up the blackberry ID login, i couldn't log in as this phone no longer recognises my password even though its correct (whole diff issue,i know a security wipe etc is needed in order to solve this) so i switched the phone off and put in my old sim.even with the roaming switched off my whatsapp and internet work, i even switched it back on to see if it would make a difference but no matter what i do it seems as if i cant connect to BIS and the blackberry logo that appears on the top right of the screen wont come back. I've also tried connecting to the local phone networks here and the bb symbol still hasnt shown.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a factory unlocked Vodafone 9900 from the UK (Carphonewarehouse). I've moved to Canada and inserted a Koodo, Bell, and Rogers SIM and the phone could not pull in a 3G signal at all.
It can pull in a Rogers/Fido 2G signal easily, but for some reason 3G won't work.
When I do a manual search for a network, it detects a Rogers 2G network, and for some odd reason a WIND and Mobilicity network.
Now I got this phone in the UK, and according to Vodafone's website it uses the following bands: HSDPA 850/900/1900/2100 why in Canada I can't pull in a 3G signal using 1900/850?
I just went overseas for a few days and I was able to connect to the WIFI network with my Data Services option as 'Off' because I have a 3G plan and I didn't want to get charged for 3G overseas as it's more expensive.However after I connected to the WIFI I couldn't do any browsing. It says 'A communication failure has occurred. The server may be busy, please try again later. If the problem persists contact your service provider'
View 9 Replies View RelatedI want to get the 9900 Bold with my contract by Vodafone. Just got to know, that I have to order an "emailconnect-option" (connecting by APN blackberry.net) to be able to surf in the internet with my BB.
But with "emailconnect" I get just 30MB per month! May be enough to push the emails, but not to surf or use some apps.
Is there any possibility, to use my "mobileconnect-option" (connecting by APN web.vodafone.de) instead of the emailconnect-option?
i am having trouble connecting to my desktop manager and also when i try to up date my 9900 to a new os 7.1, it will not backup . i have tried battery pulls even uninstalling the desktop manager and reinstallng it.

I have tried to delete and readd it, it was there before but then I had to take my phone in to get fixed because it kept rebooting everytime I put it on a hard surface. It keeps coming back with 'no message services configured. You will be redirected to the setup wizard to setup your email' but it is already set up it just wont connect/link.

I have sent the device to the dealer, tried online solutions and couldn't do it. The bizarre thing is that others having the same device are able to update to 7.1 while I can't.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI received a Bold 9900 handset via RIM EPP program. It came with installed software version 7.0 Bundle 2395(v. 7.0.0.579, Platform 5.0.0.735). I am having trouble with using Appworld and among other things sudden resets to handset. Have tried couple of time to upgrade the handset to 7.1 software using both desktop manager as well as OTA mode, it always tells me you have latest build installed. if there is a way to update this handset as it is not working very well for me at present.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a BMW with a USB connection in the middle armrest. I used to connect my Torch 9800 and then it used to prompt for [mass storage / media sync / charge only]. After choosing "media sync" it worked perfectly fine: I could leave the BB inside the armrest and control everything on my car stereo.
One week ago I started using the Bold 9900 and it doesn't work like that anymore. I am still being prompted to choose one of those 3 options and then enter my password. But after I do so, the "media sync" option doesn't give any result. The car stereo says that there is "no USB device connected" whereas in fact it is.Only option remaining is to choose "mass storage". But that gives me a crappy interface on the car stereo's display. I have to dig deep into the BB or media card's folder structure. With the 9800 and "media sync" I could always just search by artist, title or playlist (like I configured in iTunes).why this is not working on the new BB 9900 and it is on the 1-year old 9800?BTW I tried both saving my music on the memory card and on the device itself.
My battery was going on my phone so I went and got the charger and on my return my phone had died. I plugged this in and gave it the 5 mins to charge up a bit. However when this had loaded and turned on - my screen was locked. I clicked the side button to unlock this which asked me to type my password in! It wont allow me to typeit in .... its like my phone doesnt pick up the buttons I am pressing. After turning this on and off several times whilst also taking the sim card out etc etc it still wont allow me to do get in my phone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to back up all my data before doing a security swipe (impossible to connect to BBID and this seems to be the only solution...) but Blackberry Protect isn't working online (it says my phone is busy and the back up cannot be completed).I've tried to back up via my software but none of my contacts, pics, calendars or tasks appear when I click on the logo. I cannot even update the phone's software as nothing seems to work... I cannot use my phone properly and there is no way to call IRM (O2 said they could not help, great...).

However after 5-10 minutes it defaults back to Optus. Been to Telstra they say its locked to Optus, spoke to Optus they say the IMEI number is not locked to them

After starting to use the blackberry, I cannot access internet on my blackberry. I have configured the correct access point of my ISP, but still I get a reply of "Browsing over the mobile internet is not included as part of your current service plan. To browse the web, you must use Wi-Fi or contact your service provider to change your service plan".When I remove the SIM card fro the black berry and use it in another device, I can access internet.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my BB for around 2 weeks ago and up to now have had no problems. Now all of a sudden today it keeps asking me to validate my email. I have done this several times and get the message that validation has been successful. A couple of minutes later it asks me to do it again!I have deleted my email account and re-added it aswell as do the battery pull but still no success. I rely heavily on my phone to get emails through but it won't work.Can anyone advise me what to do or what the problem might be? I have a gmail account but there isn't any problems with that.
