I bought my bb9900 2 weeks ago. It is too new. But when I woke up in the morning I saw my bb didn't work. There is no power as well as there is no light on led. I removed the battery and wait one day and also I plugged in to my laptop whatever I did, it didn't work. I couldn't understand I've just bought this phone. I've seen my bb 9900 let me down.
View 1 RepliesI have had my 9900 for just over a year after upgrade from a 9000. I loved the phone until two weeks ago I did a upgrade to Blackberry Appworld. Once the upgrade completed it asked for a restart and then the phone became a brick. It would not restart and the red light just flashes. After contacting support and following suggestions to try and make the phone connect to the desktop software without success I took the phone back to Rogers who sent it away to the repair shop. The result... not able to be repaired. Somehow this is now the customers problem because something that no one can identify went wrong with the software upgrade process. No support from Blackberry just what Rogers has to offer which is that I can do an early upgrade to another phone for more money.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having issues with my BB9900 for the past few months. It seems whenever I come under direct sunlight the sensor automatically drops the backlight. I can still barely make out the screen however I have to cover the sensor to get the backlight to come back on. It has become quite an annoyance as I find I can't use my phone outside during the day anymore.I have my backlight set at 10 currently with automatic on. I have tried to turn it to 100 and turn off automatic however that didn't resolve my issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had some problems with my X10 lately. Admittedly this was after a full-on day in the Scottish Highlands where the phone was exposed to cold and rain. Getting back into a warm car the phone started going mental, the led lights flashing like a Christmas party disco and the vibrate constantly on. After a session on the radiator I got some life out of the phone. It basically works except for the following:
- the top left power button to standby/turn the phone off does nothing (the phone switches itself on when you put the battery in)
- same for the bottom middle button to standby, although it will bring the main desktop up.
- the red led light is on permanently (this is so annoying)
I have re-flashed Gingerbread and had the phone on charge for hour upon hour to no avail. I have installed a free widget that puts the phone on standby but I can't power it down without taking the batter out.
getting the power button working and telling me if there's a way (hardware or software) to get the red LED light to go out (this means that any messages/missed calls reders the green light inoperative)
Last night my 9900 died. I plugged it in to charge it and when I woke up this am the screen was black and the red light was flashing intermittantly. I have tried pulling the battery, I have tried connecting it to desktop manager.
I really do not want to lose all my contacts as I use this device for work.
i'd like to know how to full power off in my bold 9900?

Tried taking out the battery and put it back in after few mins still wont work. Connected to it to my pc same thing, wont work. Tried to hold down the power button several still not working

View 6 Replies View RelatedI use my 9900 for listening to music whilst running, yesterday it rained and although it was in my pocket there was a lot of moisture on the phone (yes my fault I know) anyway phone was working OK then it went off so I took the back off made sure the battery area was dry and it started up OK. I though all was well till I plugged it in to the mains charger when it switched off and now won't start. Also after around 20 seconds there is a battery icon with a red cross come up over it ?I have taken it apart and it all appeared dry but it refuses to start, I have tried plugging it in to PC with USB and mails lead and neither make a difference. View 1 Replies View RelatedLast night my battery was practically dead so I turned off my phone and charged it overnight. When i woke up this morning it would not turn on. I have a completely black screen with a red light slowly flashing.
I have done battery pull and attempted to reload the applications as per someone else's suggestiong *when i press finish at the last step and it begins to download JVM and system software and completes that and a check mark appears next to it but when it goes to the next step which is "Wait for device initilization" it doesnt complete the reconnecting to JVM part and an error pops up reading "Application Loader was unable to connect with your device. Please re-connect your device, enter the password, if required, and retry" no matter how many times i try this it doesnt work.
I am at a loss of what to do. I've had the blackberry since early november and this happened once before and the battery pull solved it.
This time there is just a red light flashing, like I've received a message but will not turn on!

Left it to charge overnight and now it's not starting up. Red light flashes and that's it. It's 6 months old.

The red light simply shows for about 20 seconds and that is it. The phone's red light will not turn on when plugging in and another battery did not work. When you plug it in, the battery charging indicator in the middle of the screen will comeoup showing charging, but after 2 mins the icon disappears and the screen goes black.
