my blackberry bold 9900 which I´ve had for about 3 months now doesn´t turn on, I´ve read stuff everywhere about bricked or nuked phones, but normally the red light is flashing I think.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have had my 9900 for just over a year after upgrade from a 9000. I loved the phone until two weeks ago I did a upgrade to Blackberry Appworld. Once the upgrade completed it asked for a restart and then the phone became a brick. It would not restart and the red light just flashes. After contacting support and following suggestions to try and make the phone connect to the desktop software without success I took the phone back to Rogers who sent it away to the repair shop. The result... not able to be repaired. Somehow this is now the customers problem because something that no one can identify went wrong with the software upgrade process. No support from Blackberry just what Rogers has to offer which is that I can do an early upgrade to another phone for more money.

We have more than 100 customers return of Blackberry 9900 bricked, red light flashing.

Left it to charge overnight and now it's not starting up. Red light flashes and that's it. It's 6 months old.

Instead I have a slow flashing red indicator light.I tried to connect it to my Blackberry Desktop Software but it wouldn't see it (kept saying it couldn't connect).I understand this is a common problem with the 9900 and that exchange the phone is the only solution. Typically I would go back to Rogers and try to exchange the phone but I bought the phone outright and can't find the receipt anywhere.SInce this model is less than a year old (so my phone can't be out of warranty is there another way to exchange it without my original receipt?I came back to BB from Android and actually quite liked my Bold (especially in tandem with my Playbook) but now I find myself back on an old Android phone because my Bold is dead.
View 5 Replies View RelatedUnfortunately my BB9900 past away. Black screen, Red light flashy and all the same symptoms in previous other posts. I have tried:
- Batt pull
- Chargin with Power cable and/or USB cable and pull the batt in / out
- Installing software
- Resetting with BBSAK and JL CMDer
All without any result. Only thing is: When I pull the battery and connect it with my PC, after 30s/60s I see a battery (with a red cross) in the screen. I have tried now to install the software trough "c:program filescommon files esearch in motionapploaderloader.exe" /nojvm but no luck. Is it possible to connect with other software? Where can we download software to Flash the Rom and are their any ROMS available? My guess is a software failure in the ROM.
I charged my phone overnight, and when I woke up it would not turn on at all. I tried resetting it by removing the battery but that did not work, and I charged the phone for a little bit more but it still won't turn on. I even connected it to blackberry desktop software, but the computer won't even acknowledge that my device is connected.

View 1 Replies View RelatedLast night my battery was practically dead so I turned off my phone and charged it overnight. When i woke up this morning it would not turn on. I have a completely black screen with a red light slowly flashing.
I have done battery pull and attempted to reload the applications as per someone else's suggestiong *when i press finish at the last step and it begins to download JVM and system software and completes that and a check mark appears next to it but when it goes to the next step which is "Wait for device initilization" it doesnt complete the reconnecting to JVM part and an error pops up reading "Application Loader was unable to connect with your device. Please re-connect your device, enter the password, if required, and retry" no matter how many times i try this it doesnt work.
I am at a loss of what to do. I've had the blackberry since early november and this happened once before and the battery pull solved it.
I have a problem with my two days old BBB 9900.I want to use the camera light, but it doesn't work.I tried all camera application light settings, but none was sucessful.Is there a setting option for the light outside of the camera settings?

The red light simply shows for about 20 seconds and that is it. I have tried pulling the battery but when I replace the battery it just shows the red light once again for about 20 seconds and the screen remains black.

First try on batter pull, the BB loading screen flashes but the loading bar only reaches 50%, and stays that way. I removed the battery two more times and nothing has changed. My phone is only 3 mos old and is running on OS 7, got at least 2gbs memory free.

Okay so my blackberry curve 3G is relatively new, around 10 months. And today it was working fine, decent charge on the battery, when it decided to crash. I left it alone, and it still wouldnt respond. So i took the battery out, left it for 5 minutes, and put it back in. Usually, it automatically starts up, but this time there was no response. When i tried to turn it on, the screen stayed black, but the light in the corner came on red, for roughly 10 seconds, then turned off, and began to flash for around 3 seconds, every 10 seconds. ive tried plugging it into the computer, however it cannot pick it up, and if i try to install older software (downgrade it, which it recommends to do) it fails just before the end, every time.

It never turned on again after that.I already posted a discussion notice about it not turning and the wonderful team member helped me and told me to flash my phone and try the updater. I've done both now and my phone is yet to turn on.I believe the flashing must of done something as now the LED light on the power button flashes red when I hold down it. But it still does not turn on.This has been really frustrating and the problem still continues to go on.Now when I try pc companion update service and hold the back button and connect the phone my PC doesn't recognize the device. Same message pops up if I just plug my phone in normally.

Put my sim free s6 on charge last night (wireless) as i always do and when i woke up the green led was flashing quite fast.
I went to wake the phone up using home button and nothing, nothing from powerbutton either. Tried holding down powerbutton and have also tried charging manually but still nothing. What was strange also was that i did not get any charging sound when i inserted the cable to try an charge it.
I am pretty sure its charged though...just will not turn on.
