Last night my 9900 died. I plugged it in to charge it and when I woke up this am the screen was black and the red light was flashing intermittantly. I have tried pulling the battery, I have tried connecting it to desktop manager.
I really do not want to lose all my contacts as I use this device for work.
i'd like to know how to full power off in my bold 9900?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my 9900 for just over a year after upgrade from a 9000. I loved the phone until two weeks ago I did a upgrade to Blackberry Appworld. Once the upgrade completed it asked for a restart and then the phone became a brick. It would not restart and the red light just flashes. After contacting support and following suggestions to try and make the phone connect to the desktop software without success I took the phone back to Rogers who sent it away to the repair shop. The result... not able to be repaired. Somehow this is now the customers problem because something that no one can identify went wrong with the software upgrade process. No support from Blackberry just what Rogers has to offer which is that I can do an early upgrade to another phone for more money.

I removed the battery and wait one day and also I plugged in to my laptop whatever I did, it didn't work. I couldn't understand I've just bought this phone. I've seen my bb 9900 let me down.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use my 9900 for listening to music whilst running, yesterday it rained and although it was in my pocket there was a lot of moisture on the phone (yes my fault I know) anyway phone was working OK then it went off so I took the back off made sure the battery area was dry and it started up OK. I though all was well till I plugged it in to the mains charger when it switched off and now won't start. Also after around 20 seconds there is a battery icon with a red cross come up over it ?I have taken it apart and it all appeared dry but it refuses to start, I have tried plugging it in to PC with USB and mails lead and neither make a difference. As usual the last back up was a couple of weeks ago with all latest appointments

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two usbs in my car. One directly to my audio system and other is a cigarette lighter to usb (2.1amp). Both won't charge my BB9900 but it charged my BB9360 curve and my friends BB8300..
On the usb connected to the radio i get a pop up saying this usb doesn't have enough power to charge, on the inverter (Cigarette lighter to usb) nothing happens as if the USB isn't connected to anything.

Originally all posted to one folder messages folder in the message 'center' where all the sms etc go into (middle of the screen icon at the top) i am not sure what has started to happen but suddenly i then had 2 messages folders and now i have 3. They all go to the same place and sometimes contain the same message which just appears in all 3.
I think this started when i started configuring the sync of the deletion of the folders "folder reconciliation". how i can delete these additional folders as they are just a nuicense they mean very little as mail is randomly flowing into them.
I had recently downloaded and installed the new os 7.1.0.267 os from SK Telecom form the software download page of on blackberry site to my bold 9900. Upon doing that i was able to access the new mobile hot spot feature and even set it up for use after calling my service provider for the APN which is Lime Jamaica. I even tested it by using another phone which detected it. However sometime afterwards about 30 minutes to an hour later while listening to music my headset got pull out by mistake and upon putting it back in realized music wouldn't start playing back after pressing the side button. Unlocked the phone only to see the play icon highlighted in music player but nothing wouldn't register when clicked with trackpad or touch screen. plus got a message on the screen saying that device media player was busy, which continued for a while. Did a battery pull afterwards which fixed the problem. However a few hours later when i decided to show a friend the new feature and test it by connecting his phone, upon accessing the connections menu the mobile hot spot option was missing even in networks and connections. essentially it disappeared form the phone the only apps on the phone besides the default ones was wikitude and whatsapps. Even after a factory reset it didn't return. Did a clean wipe of the os and installed the os again upon which the hot spot option returned only to disappear again after about a few minutes at which time no extra apps was insatlled just the default ones. Have no idea whats causing this and whats worse the 7.1.0.267 download has been removed from the Sk Telecom link.

I have a BlackBerry Bold 9000 that is having power issues. I can connect the device to the computer and without the battery in I will get the "No Batter Icon". Now, if I insert the battery into the device, it boots up correctly, as long as it is connected to my PC via USB. (WILL NOT POWER WITH JUST CHARGER CONNECTED). I cannot get the device to power if I JUST put the battery in the device without it connected to anything. I just updated the os to 4.6.0.167 hoping that would fix the problem, but it didn't. Still doing the same thing.
I find it weird that I can boot the device with it connected to the PC and then I can disconnect the USB cable and it works until I shut it off.
I've searched and am struggling to find much on these. What do they do, and how are they different?
According to HTC: Note: IfData connection is selected, HTC One automatically disconnects from the mobile network after 15 minutes when the screen is off and the data connection is idle (no download activity, streaming, or data usage). It reconnects and then disconnects periodically when the data connection is idle to save battery power.
Do these affect mobile data, Wifi, or both? Do they affect anything else?
I've left these off because I don't know how they work, and am getting fairly short battery life (10 to 15 hours, depending on use).
I just got my nexus 6p i noticed when i press power button I only see switch off option nothing else (restart or aeroplane mode etc) I scanned through everything and could not find anything,Attaching screen shot.
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to turn on my Bold 9700 the load bar only shows the OS load to about 1/4 of the way through and the phone shuts of and continues to restart and shut off without ever turning on completely. Is this phone dead? There is no damage to the phone, I turned it off full power down last night before I went to bed unplugged and this is what I woke up to.

After the call, my phone just turned off, and since then, it's been trying to power on. The BlackBerry screen will show, along with the loading bar, but it'll only load about 1/4 of the way, then the screen flashes white, then turns off, and does the whole thing over again. It's been going on for about 45 mins now.
I've also done the battery/sim pull.
Twice yesterday afternoon and once this am my 9700 power cycled / rebooted itself. This is a pain as I have berry buzz and have to reconfigure my profile as the settings are gone after a power cycle. Do I have a virus? I have Quickpull installed but not configured to automatically run. Do I need to install Quickpull? Any help would be appreciated.

I've had this question for a while because my battery runs down very quickly when I am bicycling in fringe service areas, but the recent blackout was even worse.One or two other phones I have owned had a setting that reduced the frequency with which they would attempt to connect to the carrier's network. And it would be nice to disable attempts to send or receive data when I know that there won't be a usable tower within range for a while. The only option I can find on my BB, however, is to turn the radio on or off. If the radio is off, then I have to manually search for the network.My Blackberry is a Bold 9650 served by Verizon. It runs some version of the 6.0 operating system.

Everything is fine except that when I have the device locked (via the new, inconveniently placed lock button) and plug in a power cable the phone unlocks. How do I disable this? Maybe I am the only one who is annoyed by this but what is the point of a button that locks the phone until you unlock it if other things can unlock it. It wouldn't be a problem if not for the touchscreen which I always seem to be pressing at the time I plug it in.
