As I was talking on my relatively new Bold 9700 it just completely died! The battery was charged but the screen and everything just went black. It will not power on. I have removed the battery and put it back in and the only response to that it the red LED light coming on for a few minutes then coming off.

I have a blackberry bold which has black screen and will not power up. It did have the flashing orange/yellow light however that has now stopped. When I try to turn the device on the keys lig up but nothing else. I have put it on charge and the power light turned green aagain tried to power up however nothing. I had left the devise on the side over night and have found it like this.

All of a sudden, a small black patch appeared on the bottom left side of the screen.It seemed the pixels stopped working at that portion, leadig to a blackout. However, after a couple of days the screen was working fine again. It worked properly for a good 1-1.5 months. Now, the black spot re-appeared but this time on the top left side of the screen.

Even on the highest brightness the screen can go it was still dim, sometimes it would brighten up again but it eventually got dimmer and then did the white screen thing and turned off. Now whenever I turn it on (re-insert the battery etc) I get a fixed red light, then a few seconds later this goes and the keyboard lights up. I've tried searching for a thread like this but haven't found any.My 9700 just randomly "rebooted" this morning, where the screen goes black and the red led light turns on for a couple of seconds. This has happened to me before on my old 9000, where after it would then start up again. Nearing the time when I replaced it, it would do it quite frequently (and to think it just started getting really bad AFTER the 1 year warranty on it expired!). So back to the 9700, the progress bar that comes up when you're starting up the device would then come up, and sometimes load for about half an inch, sometimes only up to an eighth, before the whole thing would start again - the screen would turn black, the red led turns on, and the progress bar would come up again.I pulling the battery out for a few minutes and putting it back in but its still doing it. I then pulled it out for about an hour and its still doing it again.

On my BB, when I press the lock button on the top left, the screen goes black and it locks. I'm sure I changed it to this at some point from something else however I don't know how or where etc. My friend's Blackberry (same Bold 9700) has a lock screen that shows a padlock to say it's locked but I don't get this? Any ideas? This lock screen displays her background image and a little padlock in the bottom corner etc.

Prior to shutting down there was grey and black vertical lines running down the screen and as i swiped to unlock, it just shutdown. I have tried plugging in the charger (although it was at 60% battery) too see if i could switch it on again, but after only a short time the phone was really hot so have now unplugged.

I am having trouble with my HTC Wildfire S since when I press the power button, the touch buttons switch on but the screen remains black. In order for the screen to appear, I either need to touch the screen or else wait for a few seconds until something comes up.

After the call, my phone just turned off, and since then, it's been trying to power on. The BlackBerry screen will show, along with the loading bar, but it'll only load about 1/4 of the way, then the screen flashes white, then turns off, and does the whole thing over again. It's been going on for about 45 mins now.
I've also done the battery/sim pull.
Twice yesterday afternoon and once this am my 9700 power cycled / rebooted itself. This is a pain as I have berry buzz and have to reconfigure my profile as the settings are gone after a power cycle. Do I have a virus? I have Quickpull installed but not configured to automatically run. Do I need to install Quickpull? Any help would be appreciated.

HOWEVER today I had about one bar left on the battery indicator and my phone just shut off unexpectedly when I was on a phone call. I couldn't get it to turn on so I did a battery pull and it did. I've searched what I think are all the threads on here relating to this, but I'm still stuck. I'm able to connect to the device if I run Loader.exe like a user suggested, but I don't know how/where to get software to load onto the device. All the places I've searched for an OS says I need to go into the device to find information about it. Well, I can't get into the device to do that. So, how do I know what OS to download and install? I really want to exhaust all possibilities before I have to completely wipe the device because I don't have a current backup. But, even if I wipe the device, I'm going to need to download an OS which I can't do now.
