Aug 31, 2014My iPhone 4 is in very good condition. But this morning i was on my phone and it froze. So i just put it down and waited for it to go back to normal. A few minutes later the screen went completely black. I though it just turned off so i pressed the home button but nothing happened. It was at about 80% battery so i knew it didn't die, but i tried plugging it in to see what would happen.
My phone made the sound that it usually makes when I plug it into a charger but still the screen was blank. I tired to plug my phone into my mac to restart it in iTunes but it never connected. It only connected to iPhoto. I've tried holding down the lock and home button until the apple logo came on the screen but it never did. I don't know what to do. I know I should take it into the apple store but I want to try to get it to work at home instead of having to go all the way out there.

Jul 29, 2011Got My Defy 2 days back. Last night it rained heavily and I had to walk from my office to home. It was a 30-35 minute walk. I put my Defy in my pocket and started walking thinking its a water proof phone. When I reached home, first the phone's screen didn't respond to any touch. After a minute it went completely black and I could see heavy moisture under the glass. Only sensors were throwing some colored lights. I tried to call from my friend's phone on my number, and I could listen to the ringtone only. I could not pick up the call since there was nothing at all on screen. Today I put the phone in rice for around 8 hours still the condition is same. Its very unfortunate that I could use and explore my phone properly even for 2-3 days.

Apr 30, 2012my iphone 4s has just switched itself off and now has no power at all or at least fails to start up again! Prior to shutting down there was grey and black vertical lines running down the screen and as i swiped to unlock, it just shutdown. I have tried plugging in the charger (although it was at 60% battery) too see if i could switch it on again, but after only a short time the phone was really hot so have now unplugged.

May 27, 2012I am quite unhappy with my blackberry 9810 and with Research In Motion at the moment. I noticed my phone would suddenly go off and restart. Only a few weeks later, it wouldn't restart by itself after suddenly going off. I had to restart it whenever i noticed it was off. But it got worse, it later would not respond at all after it had gone off and it would sometimes take a whole day to start. It was then I went to the ResearchInMotion site.
Nothing specific. Only links in the help forum to crackberry.com. I read the many stories I saw like "put your battery in your palms and rub it till it gets warm" and "use a short cable to connect your device to the laptop"... I have swithced batteries to be sure it was not a battery fault. I have re-installed the OS, upgraded to 7.0 and used the Loader.exe countless times. Those worked only like 3 times after days and days of labour, many missed calls, records and events in my planner. Often, it would work for one day and then go off for two. It has not worked for 2 days now and non of these troubleshooting work again; no red light indicator when i connect it directly to the laptop using a USB cable, nothing.

Apr 30, 2012Yesterday I was updating and walked away from my computer (PC). When I came back, the phone was on the connect to itunes screen (and still is) and itunes gave me a message that said itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. I don't want to restore because I don't want to lose my pictures. The phone was working fine prior to updating. I am not sure what happened. The pictures are the most important thing. How can I get the pictures and/or get away from that screen?
I tried tinyumbrella, but it doesn't see my phone. Some of the pictures were backed up and some were not.
