How do I reset a device which has an integrated battery if the device jams or freezes and does not respond to power key even when pressed for a whole minute and what if my X-7 freezes in middle of night and i cannot even go to nokia centre ?
View 5 RepliesWhen I charge my N8, the touch screen function stops working. If I have a video playing, it continues to play, I can change the volume and the home/menu key works, but touching the screen has no effect until I unplug the charging cable.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am quite unhappy with my blackberry 9810 and with Research In Motion at the moment. I noticed my phone would suddenly go off and restart. Only a few weeks later, it wouldn't restart by itself after suddenly going off. I had to restart it whenever i noticed it was off. But it got worse, it later would not respond at all after it had gone off and it would sometimes take a whole day to start. It was then I went to the ResearchInMotion site.
Nothing specific. Only links in the help forum to crackberry.com. I read the many stories I saw like "put your battery in your palms and rub it till it gets warm" and "use a short cable to connect your device to the laptop"... I have swithced batteries to be sure it was not a battery fault. I have re-installed the OS, upgraded to 7.0 and used the Loader.exe countless times. Those worked only like 3 times after days and days of labour, many missed calls, records and events in my planner. Often, it would work for one day and then go off for two. It has not worked for 2 days now and non of these troubleshooting work again; no red light indicator when i connect it directly to the laptop using a USB cable, nothing.
The start button on my Sony Xperia Z3 D6603 suddenly stopped working.Also the volyme controls next to it.I have shut down the phone with the reset-button behind the hatch, next to the SIM-card-slot, in hope that it would do some change to restart the phone. But now i can´t get the phone back on.

Anyone have this problem?I got this phone about 1 week ago from HK.I've encountered glitches here and there, and sometimes using hard-reset gets rid of the problem.But... just yesterday night I was typing an SMS then suddently it decide to reboot.
Okay, so no big deal I can retype but then it freezes on the White & Blue Nokia screen (no handshake).I tried shut it down, didn't respond. I took out the battery as the last resort.I put the battery back and tried to restart again. This time it vibrated but nothing else.I tried again... and all went dead.Now my phone is like a brick to me.I can't do hard-reset if the power button cannot work!

So. My Xperia is on (I can hear the notification ringtone go off whenever my phone gets a text message or a Facebook message) but it won't respond when I push the power button to light/wake up the screen. This started happening at 9PM and it is now 1:30AM. I don't know what to do.

Have had the phone for nearly 2 years but never had this problem before, altho I don't use the GPS function much. I believe I have updated all recent software, I did it this morning thru my computer using Nokia software updater.

The phone shows no connectivity until i restart it and then it's okay and i can make calls (this happens quite often). Also, the phone has froze a few times when browsing it and sometimes it freezes when not using it and is usable again after restarting. Meanwhile it has a black screen or sometimes white and in some cases it won't even shut down when trying to restart the phone. What the hell? Has anyone else had these problems? View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought yesterday a Nokia X2-00 and been exploring it for a while, so far so good, pretty happy and satisfied with it, but there's a problem that bothers and I can't seem to find a solution for it. About the screen-saver, I can, for example, put it as a digital clock, and set a timer for when the phone to switch to screen-saver mode. Problem is, I don't seem to find anywhere an option to play with the sleep mode - no matter what, about 10 seconds after the screen saver goes active, the screen goes totally black (goes into sleep mode) and I need to press a button to wake it up. No digital clock display, no nothing.I need to be able to see the clock (and possibly an icon for missed calls/new texts) without having to touch a button. On all my old phones you could play with both screen saver/power saving/sleep mode options, but not here. What can I do?

According to HTC: Note: IfData connection is selected, HTC One automatically disconnects from the mobile network after 15 minutes when the screen is off and the data connection is idle (no download activity, streaming, or data usage). It reconnects and then disconnects periodically when the data connection is idle to save battery power.
Do these affect mobile data, Wifi, or both? Do they affect anything else?
I've left these off because I don't know how they work, and am getting fairly short battery life (10 to 15 hours, depending on use).

I've had a problem that's been developing with my curve for a month or so, whereby it will stop responding to any button I push for no reason at all. No reaction from the power button, the scroller, the keyboard or even from putting it on to charge (when it doesn;t recognise that its being charged up). I've previously been able to fix this by taking the battery out, putting ti back in and letting it reboot itself. However, the number of times I've been haivng to do this has increased until as of a few days ago the batttery trick won't work either. My phone is now completely dead. I'll try to give as much info as is asked for in that sticky thread, but as I say, my phone is dead so I'm not able to check very much of it.
