I've searched and am struggling to find much on these. What do they do, and how are they different?
According to HTC: Note: IfData connection is selected, HTC One automatically disconnects from the mobile network after 15 minutes when the screen is off and the data connection is idle (no download activity, streaming, or data usage). It reconnects and then disconnects periodically when the data connection is idle to save battery power.
Do these affect mobile data, Wifi, or both? Do they affect anything else?
I've left these off because I don't know how they work, and am getting fairly short battery life (10 to 15 hours, depending on use).

Iphone #1
I was using this IPhone last week during a phone call when the battery died, which I then let it charge. After 30-40 mins I tried to power it on, but no luck, so I tried a hard boot (power+home) nothing. I figured okay let me see if my itunes can read it in DFU mode. So I figured maybe the battery just took a crap since this is a 2g IPhone.
IPhone #2 Cracked screen
I took the "guts" (motherboard+Battery) from this phone, and put it on IPhone #1, which turned on immediately. This morning, I was making a call and the screen went "white" and turned off, battery was charged. I followed all the steps for hardboot/DFU etc. Nothing?
Anybody know what's going on? Can the touchscreen or any part of the touch panel be causing this issue? Maybe something is frying the motherboard or another dead battery, but its odd two batteries die in a week! I do have an EBAY charger, if that means anything maybe its frying the internals? Is there a way to find out if its the battery or mother board on these two IPhones?

When I was playing around with the iPhone 4 at the Apple Store I noticed that next to the battery level icon it read "100%", seemingly indicating the exact percantage of how much juice is left in the battery. However, it's not showing up on mine. Is there a setting I need to toggle or something?

just got Nokia DC-16 portable charger and noticed that it only gives around 1000 mAh despite the fact that it has 2200 mAh battery inside.Charged it in full and then connected it to my phone with 1800 mAh battery. When Nokia DC-16 was discharged my phone was charged only 50%. Tried that two times with exactly the same results. So i wonder is my unit faulty or this is the performance i should expect?Found this in All About Symbian review:The DC-16's capacity is rated at 2200mAh, which is equivalent to less than two full charges of most smartphone batteries; it is also guaranteed for 500 charge cycles. Nokia say the output current is 950mA, which is quite high for a battery of this class. Anecdotally, it can quickly recharge our Lumia 800 to full (from empty).

How would i determine what is causing battery power loss. The phone is 3 months old and within the last 2 days only has battery power for 6 hours. Is there an easy way to determine what applications are running without having to check each one. I have tried resetting the factory settings, but it indicates that there is an application or call that needs to be closed. There is definitely no call running so it has to be an application.

The Nokia Lumia 900 got BRICKED within a week of getting it....Here is what happened, last night I could not get my phone recharged on time and as I was doing something the phone suddenly froze and died as it had ran out of juice. I left it there in that state for awhile and then plugged into wall...first the bottom three buttons lit up, a white screen, then a big battery showed up with with a bit of red charge, then a nokia page and then finally an att page with the words "rethink possible".....and it shuts off and starts this loop.

Although I have it so power saving mode doesn't officially 'click on' until battery is at 20%, should I be leaving the icon on at all times? I guess what I'm confused on is, does it really enable as soon as I click power saving or does it basically say it's ready to go, not on, but will click on at 20%?

Has anyone else noticed wi-fi showing as being on thorughout the day. I have had it off for a couple of days now and in the battery usage screen I still see it reported as on most of the time. In addition it seems to be using as much as 10-15% of my battery even though I don't have it on.

Since updating to Belle on my N8 the battery power has significantly gone down. I use my phone the same way every day. I have turned off the clock screen saver too and still goes down quickly. Before it would last 4 or 5 days, with light use of the camera and internet, now it won't last past 3.

October 2011 - Returned my 18 month old Storm to Carphone Warehouse (UK) as screen was sticking in corners - they replaced for a new (or refurbished?) storm 2.New phone worked fine for around 4 weeks, then began randomly powering off (when using different apps/making call/texting etc - in other words no apparent common cause) When rebooted the battery charge was significantly lower (as much as 98% down to 10%.)Returned phone again, was given another replacement (or refurb?) with exactly the same problem happening again! Driving me mad! Each time I have restored my data using BB Desktop software - I'm thinking it must be one of my installed apps causing the crashes? I know I could return this latest device but each time equates to around 2-3weeks without Smartphone so am very keen to explore other possibilities before giving up.

I own a Neo V. It shuts down unexpectedly. It may shut down twice a day or once a week. After it has shut down I cannot power it on. I must first remove the battery and then power it on. Is it a hardware or a software problem? I have Android version 2.3.4 and my build number is 4.0.2.A.0.62. I have not rooted it and I have already tried to reset to factory settings.

been trying to keep nokia lumia 900 charged up at all times...last night went to bed with little over 50% power in battery and in about 2 hours, battery was totally dead.. I try not to let battery go totally dead before putting on the charger.. what caused the battery to suddenly lose all the power it had in a couple of hours... I can't afford this battery to do this when traveling.. I need the phone.. and where I am .. I have no idea how to get a battery changed in this phone... since I cannot buy a new battery and install myself.. Don't know why Nokia made a phone that the consumer cannot change the battery in it by himself... this is not good... I can't have the battery reaching 50% power and then suddenly have it go dead in short time... I had hard time getting it to respond to the electricity charger this morning when I plugged it in... I need to make sure I have battery life when out of the country and I do the best I can to keep it charged up all the times...

I have the Blackberry Torch 9800 and for the last while my battery will constantly randomly drop to almost dead. If I remove the battery it usually goes back up and sometimes it's okay for the rest of the day or for a few days, while some days it does it 2-3 times every hour to the point it basically needs to be left plugged in.
