Xperia Ray :: Battery Drop From 23% To 1% And Power Off?
Mar 10, 2012
These days when I using my Xperia Ray, the battery level drop from 23% to 1% in one second and auto-power off. When I charge it, the battery level jump from 1% to 23%.
i have my xperia for about 8months now. when i insert my battery the fone will heat up and drain the battery till its dead in less than a hour. when i put it on charge it does the same thing. some guy i spoke to said it could be that the IC is missing.
I bought z2 few days ago, everything seems right until yesterday, in power management it says battery could live about 2 days and smth with 100% but yesterday my phone was on 40% and power management says 4 hours more life of battery, i charged it and now with 100% its 7 hours ...
I own a Neo V. It shuts down unexpectedly. It may shut down twice a day or once a week. After it has shut down I cannot power it on. I must first remove the battery and then power it on. Is it a hardware or a software problem? I have Android version 2.3.4 and my build number is 4.0.2.A.0.62. I have not rooted it and I have already tried to reset to factory settings.
Within a minute or so after my phones removed from the charger it drops to 95%. After that the battery life is normal. I recently updated to 4.3 and it might coincide with this issue but I can't be sure.
I upgraded to Lollipop 5.1.1 recently using Sony updates. However I am having a strange problem now. The phone shuts down when pulled out of a power source though battery status is above 80%. If I plug back the phone into a power supply and restart, I am able to use the phone without any problem. Is my battery dead? It has been about 1.5 years now with this phone. Tried restarting in safe mode as well but the phone still shut down when pulled out of power supply.
When I first got my Z5 the first thing I did was enable the Stamina mode in order to prolong the battery power. But since then I have been very disappointed with the heat emmission, lag in the games and the battery life. When ever I used to play games likes Angry Birds Transformers the phone used to get very hot, lag and there was a major drain on the battery.
Last week I decided to disable Stamina mode to to check if it did improve my experiance with gaming. And I can tell you that the phone doesn't get hot (slightly warm), the game doesn't lag and the battery doesn't drain as fast before. Also last night I charged my phone to 100% and disconnected it at approx 10:00pm. Today morning at 6:30am it had dropped to just 97% without the Stamina mode enabled.
I noticed that when I enable the Stamina mode the battery drains randomly. One more observation is that sometimes the battery percentage gets stuck at 100% for a very long time with the Stamina mode on and then it starts dropping very quickly.
Every time my phone reaches around 10% it instantly drops to 3 or 4% then instantly after that to 1%... So basically I have to charge my phone before it gets to 10%. Not that big of a deal, but it is annoying not being able to do anything with it when it's at low battery and I'm away from a charger.
I'm trying to charge my phone before it gets that low from now on so I won't shorten my battery's lifespan so I can't comment on if the issue persist, but I will say that the calibration has made the battery to act less weird as far as dropping fast in certain areas but not others.
Two iPhone 4S . Both were fully charged . One is normal , one is abnormal only standby each hour drop down 10 % battery ( show on the phone battery indicTor!
I just got this used blackberry bold 9780. At about battery level 30-50%, the battery level will plunge to 1% within minutes. And it will stay at 1% for the rest of the day. Today, the battery indicator was working fine till the battery was about 30%, then the phone just died.
Today my Lumia 1520s battery level suddenly dropped 89% to 81% in 10 minutes, then I made a soft reset and the battery level was 82%. Again after 15 minutes I took a look in the battery level and it was 73%.
My iPhone battery looses 1% every 2 minutes so I'm wondering if that's normal? I've only used for 3 hours and 1 min and I'm at 44%. Is this normal? And if not how do I fix it to improve battery life. I only users my phone to txt and go Facebook that's about it.
I updated my phone (Incredible S) a couple of days ago to HTC Sense 3.0. I was pretty keen on it and I quite like the animations, however it didn't take me long to realise that it's a battery killer. After charging my phone overnight, I used to go to work and come back in the evening with 70% or more of the battery left. Now after the update, I can barely pull it off with 50% left, and I haven't changed my usage habits at all. I gave up hopes of downgrading back to the previous version, so I'm hoping for an update to HTC Sense 3.5, which from what I read seems to be more efficient.
I'm not really up for changing launcher though so I suppose there's not much I can do apart from that.
I just registered on the forum because i have a weird problem. My GSII first shows 'no network service' and it won't change unless i do a reboot. after the reboot my battery went from 40% to 9% It happened 3-4 times in the last 5 days. I already did the latest ics update via kies. the phone is not rooted. I did the hard restart. nothing helped. Here is the picture from the last drop [URL]
I recently got a brand new Galaxy S II with a new contract and have been using with a lot of joy. However, recently a problem occurred with the battery in a sense that it sometimes suddenly goes from 30-ish % to 0 instantly, therefore causing my phone to shut down with no warning. Also, after this happened, I cannot just plug in the phone to the charger, because for some reason it does not charge. I have to remove the battery and then put it back in again before I can charge it. This has been happening almost daily and I don't know what the cause is. The phone is not rooted or tampered with in any way.
I purchased the Mini (ST15i) this January and have since updated it to ICS when it came out for the phone. But there are lots of problems I'm facing with the phone now, Dropped calls. Especially with WiFi and/or data ON. Slow performance, Widgets/Folders on the Home screen take time to load (i can see them loading one by one)Phone app takes around 3 secs to come up!!! All other apps also take longer than before to load.3. The corner widgets randomly reset to default ones - i tried to set them lots of times and everytime they reset (this i believe is a fault with only my device), Contact details (like ringtone) gets reset.
Issue: In WCDMA only/preferred mode, call/network drop frequently .Current Android version: 2.3.4 , Best solution provided by service centre: Switch manually between 2G(for calls) & 3G(for data), Customer Care ticket Id: 93172166 ,WorkOrder No: SE312TR111983
I have been following the case with service centre & customer care since 2 weeks but have been provided a sub-standard solution as mentioned above. Please do not mark the thread as "Assumed Answered", I ll get back asap.Scenarios checked: 1. 3G signal receptivity in my area: Confirmed OK by operator. 2. Used same SIM in another phone: Works fine on 3G, 3. Used another SIM on ray: Same issue with 3G mode
I am facing the problem of overheating every now and then when i use some application and listening songs via  music app. Moreover the WIFI connection is also gets dropped and as a result  i have to search the wifi conection evry time and somtime even if the wifi conection is swtch on, the handset is unable to detect the wifi network.
How would i determine what is causing battery power loss. The phone is 3 months old and within the last 2 days only has battery power for 6 hours. Is there an easy way to determine what applications are running without having to check each one. I have tried resetting the factory settings, but it indicates that there is an application or call that needs to be closed. There is definitely no call running so it has to be an application.
My husband's 4s will not power up at all. Battery has charge. Tried to connect to iTunes but it could not "find" the phone. On vacation and nearest apple store is over an hour away.
The Nokia Lumia 900 got BRICKED within a week of getting it....Here is what happened, last night I could not get my phone recharged on time and as I was doing something the phone suddenly froze and died as it had ran out of juice. I left it there in that state for awhile and then plugged into wall...first the bottom three buttons lit up, a white screen, then a big battery showed up with with a bit of red charge, then a nokia page and then finally an att page with the words "rethink possible".....and it shuts off and starts this loop.
Iphone #1 I was using this IPhone last week during a phone call when the battery died, which I then let it charge. After 30-40 mins I tried to power it on, but no luck, so I tried a hard boot (power+home) nothing. I figured okay let me see if my itunes can read it in DFU mode. So I figured maybe the battery just took a crap since this is a 2g IPhone.
IPhone #2 Cracked screen I took the "guts" (motherboard+Battery) from this phone, and put it on IPhone #1, which turned on immediately. This morning, I was making a call and the screen went "white" and turned off, battery was charged. I followed all the steps for hardboot/DFU etc. Nothing?
Anybody know what's going on? Can the touchscreen or any part of the touch panel be causing this issue? Maybe something is frying the motherboard or another dead battery, but its odd two batteries die in a week! I do have an EBAY charger, if that means anything maybe its frying the internals? Is there a way to find out if its the battery or mother board on these two IPhones?
Although I have it so power saving mode doesn't officially 'click on' until battery is at 20%, should I be leaving the icon on at all times? I guess what I'm confused on is, does it really enable as soon as I click power saving or does it basically say it's ready to go, not on, but will click on at 20%?
