Apr 4, 2012Just yesterday when I plugged my phone into the ac adapter to charge after a while I noticed the phone was really warm, hot even, and it wasn't charging as quickly as it usually does. This morning I realized that my phone was at 70% when i had fully charged it last night and didn't really use it until that point. Around 10-15 mins later my battery life was at 60% and kept dropping around the same time to 50%. I had to keep plugging my phone in just to have a decent amount of battery life. The phone still feels hot when I have it plugged in and it doesn't seem to be charging as quickly as it should.

Jul 5, 2010I have a user with a E72. It has the most up to date firmware. The user is finding that the battery does not last very long. By mid day the phone is almost out of life. He is not making lots of calls. Life goes while on standby. We have also brought a new battery, still has the problem. The battery is a genuine Nokia battery.

Feb 6, 2010I got a friend who brought me his Bold 9000 with a quirky problem: The send button sends "jk", the trackball button sends "hl", the hangup button sends "nm" and the "a" button sends "uo". Battery pull and resetting did not help. Anyone got an idea what could cause the problem? I am unable to do a complete wipe since I cannot get the letter "a"!

Dec 8, 2012I recently got a blackberry 9320 about a month ago and my battery tends to heat up after a couple of minutes of using it, I don't know what the problem could be...My brother had the same problem with his BB 8520 but only after a year, it later stopped working. 2 weeks after getting my phone I used his 8520 charger because it was much longer then iy charger, then my battery started heating up I don't know if it is charger but I stopped using it and it still heats up.

This is also happening even when the phone is turned off - the phone still gets very hot! The battery has to be removed before the phone will cool down.The phone works fine any other time and usually only needs to be charged every few days, but as soon as i'm in a 'hotspot' zone I've had to charge the phone 2 to 3 times a day!

It is jailbroken but I have jailbroken since the first day the hack was released and only a couple of days ago the battery started to drain really fast.I do have winterboard and activator on my iphone.A couple of days ago my iphone would be around 97% or 96% of over night stand by. Here's my problem....As soon as I turn on my BlackBerry, it heats up quicker than a kettle!
I bought a brand new battery for it today as well. So it can't be the battery.
Someone suggested holding shift, alt and delete (for a soft reset)...which didn't work/help. They also said it could be the OS.. but it's currently using the latest OS?! Perhaps I need a downgrade?! I'm really not sure.

Does it have to do anything with me restoring it from a 3GS backup?
If yes, then how can I backup everything (contacts, notes, sms, photos/vids) and then set it up as a new phone then restore that data?

Mar 24, 2010This just happened recently. I can feel the thing in my pocket heating up. The battery goes from full charge to empty in the matter of a couple hours.
Oddly though, this morning it said I had no service and my phone was normal temp and the battery lasted a long time. Or course i needed services so I turned the phone off and on and the service was back and so was the hot phone.
The phone is over a year old. I've tried all of the trick. Hard Reboot. Reset all of my settings etc.

Jul 16, 2010I took my iPhone4 into the Apple store so they can look at the battery issue I think I am having. Here is a screen shot of the performance of the battery before my visit.
They said the phone needed to be reset to a new phone because I initially choose to use the backup of my last iPhone when I initialized and there is probably a software problem which is draining your battery faster.
Me: Well, Ok. But can you please run a diagnostic on the phone before we reinitialize.
Apple: No. There is noting wrong with the batter, this is a software problem.
Me: Ok.
So this next screen shot is after using the phone after initializing as a factory reset.
I am not seeing any difference in the performance if anything it is a little worse.
Do you all think I have a problem or is this normal performance for the iPhone4 battery? Apples website claims the phone should be standby 300hours, internet, 10hours.
I haven't been doing any heavy use just normal internet use, some angry bird action and a couple video shots.
What type of performance are you all having?

Mar 14, 2012I recently upgraded to 5.1 on my AT&T 32GB iPhone 4S. I have noticed that my usage time since last charge, taken at 1% battery level from a full charge, is about 4 hours and 45 minutes of usage and about 9 hours and 15 minutes of standby time. Is anyone getting battery drain this quickly? I have followed all the battery saving tips from restricting Ping and iAds to getting rid of most notifications and removing a lot of location services except for Maps and Safari. I also adjusted brightness to auto and deselected the "Send usage logs to Apple."

My local ATT store said to minimize all the programs on the bottom of the screen. I've never had to do that before so I can't imagine that's the problem?
