A friend of mine just switched from Android to WP and got the Icon. He loves the phone but is having an issue with the phone becoming unresponsive at times. View 6 Replies View RelatedThere is a lag when trying to wake the phone up. I will press the power button and it will take almost 4 seconds for the phone to wake up. This doesn't happen often, but often enough that I have to do a soft reset several times to correct the problem. Even then, it's still not 100% responsive. On my Lumia 950, it will reset when I hold down the power button for 10 seconds but this should only happen when holding down both the volume down button and the power button at the same time. My Lumia 920, which is also running build 10.0.10586.29, can have just the power button held down and once I swipe away the power off prompt, it works normally and stays on just like I want.I would like to use my Qi enabled car mount but it needs to push down on the power button, causing it to constantly restart.

Use double tap to wake up phone (enable in settings, touch menu) and install Touch and Lock and pin to your start screen to tap and auto lock. I pin mine on the right hand side right near where the power button is located. Easy to tap quickly. Touch and Lock | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States).There are other touch lock apps but some have a pause or splash screen before locking. Touch and Lock is instantaneous.

When I try to turn the device on the keys lig up but nothing else. I have put it on charge and the power light turned green aagain tried to power up however nothing. I had left the devise on the side over night and have found it like this.

It's acting like the 'back button' is randomly being pressed. It makes it impossible to open an app, send a txt or do anything, as it backs out of everything all the time.
The phone has been great for 2 days, and now it won't stop doing this back-thing.
I've done a soft factory reset and just now, a hard factory reset and it's still doing to same thing. I can't even get through initial registration...
For some reason my volume down button now acts like the power button... I.e. I press it and it toggles the lock screen.
And I don't see any settings for that. Seems like the hardware buttons are broken... Need a repair?
I have a very peculiar issue with my 920. The phone sometimes does not lock when I press the power button. That time, it does not even get locked automatically. I always reboot when it does that; was even about to return the fone coz of this but no device is perfect.
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust started happening today. I go to lock my phone and it does nothing. Still powers off if I hold it down, but won't lock screen.
Also all of my quick toggles disappeared from my notification center. Just left blank grey spaces. Tried setting them up again, but no go, still blank spaces. Restarted phone and that didn't work. Hard reset is completely out of the question.

Just as soon as this posted the toggles were back. Not sure what happened there.
My Nokia Lumia 1520 power button has suddenly stopped working. Things I have already tried are soft reset and hard reset without luck. I don't have the chive app installed which was supposed to cause this issue sometime ago. Also, I can do a soft reset - which means the power button works in some situations, just not with normal on/off operation.

I have removed the battery and put it back in and the only response to that it the red LED light coming on for a few minutes then coming off.

Prior to shutting down there was grey and black vertical lines running down the screen and as i swiped to unlock, it just shutdown. I have tried plugging in the charger (although it was at 60% battery) too see if i could switch it on again, but after only a short time the phone was really hot so have now unplugged.
