HTC One M7 :: Phone Using Too Much Power To Charge
Dec 10, 2014
My phone just couldn't charge and before the battery died, my phone said that it was using too much power to charge. I bought my HTC One from Phones 4u last September and to my luck, when my phone has problems, the company stops functioning. I have tried using different cables/plugs to charge but to no avail.
I emailed HTC and they haven't replied after 3 days. I'm not entirely sure what are the procedures for sending my phone for repairs, but I will definitely call them soon if they don't reply.
How do I fix power sharing apps as i cannot charge my samsung s6 properly after last update. I checked the application manager the apps already installed and there but when i try to look it in the menu there i cannot see the apps. Try to replace my charger and try another charger but the result was the same. How to uninstall. Also i already clear the data, cache and even force stop.
I have a N97 that charges OK when I plug it in computers USB port or in a (powered) hub.But I also have a USB power adapter that I can plug in a wall socket and it has one USB port (5V/1A) and nothing happens.Same happens when I plug it in my car using a USB adapter.
Since every other phone/MP3-player/device that can be charged via USB works with these, I have to assume that this is something with my phone...
had my phone for 3 days now, i noticed that charging it was kinda annoying from a dead phone, last night it died and i was going to do a full charge cycle, i put it on change before i went to bed, it vibrated to say its connect and i left it, woke up this morning unplugged and it wouldnt turn on so i left it a couple of minutes and tryed again still nothing, i tried plugging it to my computer and it came up saying i need some drivers and need to format the phone i ignored it, the battery symbol came up then the vodafone screen left it for a while then tried turning it on again and nothing just black, not vibes or nothing, now i dont even get a vibe when i plug it into my my computer or power source....
So, 2 days ago, I went to work and my phone was fine. I went on break, and it was dead. Won't power on, won't charge, nothing. After a bit if fighting I've given up on it. It's served me well, but my poor Nexus 5 has seen it's last days it appears. It didn't quite make it 2 years, but I still don't regret it.
I have two usbs in my car. One directly to my audio system and other is a cigarette lighter to usb (2.1amp). Both won't charge my BB9900 but it charged my BB9360 curve and my friends BB8300..
On the usb connected to the radio i get a pop up saying this usb doesn't have enough power to charge, on the inverter (Cigarette lighter to usb) nothing happens as if the USB isn't connected to anything.
I'm traveling to London, England this upcoming week and purchased a Power Converter/ Adapter with a USB port. When I plugged the Blackberry into the USB, it said the charging device doesn't have enough power to charge the Blackberry. It says the USB output is 5VDC, 1 A max.How much power is required to charge the Blackberry and do you have any recommendations for power converters/adapters that are compatible with the Torch?
Now i have a dead Nokia 800 sitting buzzing away every 1.5 minutes, This is not a conection prob it's software it just doesnt have eneough energy to reboot its self and go into charge mode, it way too sensitive and obviously a big issue for Nokia.Well after reading this thread and then HAVING to register to post and a loyal Nokia customer for over a decade. i was so looking forward to the 920. Think i'll try Android smart next NOW ADD THIS UPDATE
My Bold 9900 loses power and can not get recharged, I tried to remove battery also reset unfortunately not working. I got this phone a couple of months ago.
Are power banks safe to use for charging purpose??? Do we need to consider any particular charger with specific power output? Any specific brand to consider?
My wife recently washed her phone and by accident got some water inside (water indicator in the back is red). Since then the phone didn't want to charge! It starts charges for a second then stops.
We have been swapping batteries since I also have a GS5 but it's been really annoying.
I thought the charging module had been damaged but just yesterday by accident she found out she could charge it if the phone is in "Ultra Power Savings Mode".
Sometimes when I need to reboot/reset my i760 (Winmob 6.1, Spb Shell) it will not finish the boot cycle. I turn it on, I get the Samsung logo, the dark blue static Verizon wireless screen, then it about a half a second into the next screen (where the Verizon wireless logo "floats" down to a light blue screen) the system powers off. You can just see the red check in the logo start to draw and head down and the system just goes off.I thought I had solved it by pulling the battery for about 30 seconds, but now that doesn't fix the problem anymore. The only way to make the phone power on is to connect it to a power source (charger or cradle). Then it powers on normally. It does not matter the charge on the battery at the moment - I've had it do it any charge level, including 100% just off a overnight charge. This battery will normally last me 2 days of hard use.Any ideas?
may i know Nokia 5800 XpressMusic can be charge by power bank or not?. I know that this model not allow to charge by USB, but can it be charge through power port with 500mA power bank?
is there a way of somone not being able to power off my phone when it is locked? i.e if it were stolen someone could just turn it off and i would not be able to track it via "find my iphone"
My iPhone has no power after I tried restoring it. I've tried everything. Holding wake/sleep button and home key. NOTHING. I tired keeping it plugged into my computer and resetting the computer. Still NOTHING. The phone has no power so I can't really do any kind of resets.
just noticed that there is tape spanning all 3...is that on there for a reason?..looks like a corner might be pulling up a little but dont know if I should pull it off or if it is functional.
I am having a problem with the power button on my phone. It's acting like it's stuck getting pushed every couple of seconds. It was just in my pocket when it started doing it. It won't get past the first htc loading screen. It will try too boot up by itself. When it first happened it was on the home screen and the 2 buttons on the bottom were blinking on and off. The only reason I need to get this phone to work is to get all my apps music contacts and everything else off of it.
My power button my my HTC One M7 stopped working. Unfortunately, it is currently powered off. So, even though it has a 100% charge, I can't turn it on b/c that requires that I press down the power button. Here are some of the things I've tried from what I've been able to read online:
1. Starting HTC One M7 in recovery mode: Unfortunately, in order to start an HTC One M7 in recovery mode requires holding down the down volume button + the power button. Without the power button working, this solution won't work to get me started.
2. installing adb and fastboot: I'm running Mac OS X 10.10.5 on a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 MBP (retina, mid 2012) machine and have homebrew installed. I issued brew install android-platform-tools. I then changed my $PATH to include the downloaded adb and fastboot programs.
Once I had that set up, I tried to connect to my device through the USB cable. Unfortunately, I don't believe I had the developer mode turned on that allowed USB mounting (MTP). The phone is running Android 5.0.x. So, when I try running 'adb devices' in terminal, I get the response that there are no devices connected. I try 'adb reboot' but with no devices detected, i get, 'error: device not found.'
I tried using diskutil list to see if there were a way to detect the device as connected to the computer even if it's not mounting. But that didn't work, either.
For the last 2-3 days, my phone is draining the battery extrememly rapidly.I am not doing anything differently than before, and I"ve had teh phone for 5 months. What is going on?
I've searched and am struggling to find much on these. What do they do, and how are they different?
According to HTC: Note: IfData connection is selected, HTC One automatically disconnects from the mobile network after 15 minutes when the screen is off and the data connection is idle (no download activity, streaming, or data usage). It reconnects and then disconnects periodically when the data connection is idle to save battery power.
Do these affect mobile data, Wifi, or both? Do they affect anything else?
I've left these off because I don't know how they work, and am getting fairly short battery life (10 to 15 hours, depending on use).
I just got my 9700 less than a week ago, then I woke up this morning to make a phone call. After the call, my phone just turned off, and since then, it's been trying to power on. The BlackBerry screen will show, along with the loading bar, but it'll only load about 1/4 of the way, then the screen flashes white, then turns off, and does the whole thing over again. It's been going on for about 45 mins now.
Basically my phone slowly started turning off(no shutdown just straight off) after long periods in the car using the SatNav even when it still had over 40% power on the battery.
Eventually the other day it just started turning off every time I tried to open maps (whilst lost in some random suburb!)
And now if the phone is plugged on charge I can do whatever I want with it, as soon as I take it off charge it will stay on until I unlock the screen and try to do anything (swipe or open an app.) Immediately I though the battery was to blame but why would it stay on until I did something?
Now the stranger part, if I start my music, start the satnav etc whilst its plugged in then unplug it, as long as I don't unlock or do anything on the screen the phone will continue to work. I can even start and stop music, skip tracks from the lock screen, even unlock and lock it again, as soon as I try to load an app, boom it just goes black, not even a shut down, just straight to black.
I have a problem with my power button with my xperia z3 dual. It isn't working. I tried the troubleshotting using the pc companion but still it isn't workin.
Since I bought the phone I have had power saving mode enabled. When it comes to paying games like need for speed, what am I missing out on with power saving mode enabled? It seems to be running fine with it enabled.
I know I can shut it down and then wait some amount of time and then restart it, but is there a way to just restart it without the shutdown-wait-power-on dance?
The current process is made more annoying because I don't know exactly when the 950XL has completely shutdown and thus I don't know when to hit the power button.
