Aug 27, 2012I have recently upgraded from a 9650 to a 9930. Everything is fine except that when I have the device locked (via the new, inconveniently placed lock button) and plug in a power cable the phone unlocks. How do I disable this? Maybe I am the only one who is annoyed by this but what is the point of a button that locks the phone until you unlock it if other things can unlock it. It wouldn't be a problem if not for the touchscreen which I always seem to be pressing at the time I plug it in.

Dec 4, 2015As of this morning, my phone no longer charges using the supplied Samsung charger. Additionally, when I UNPLUG the cable from my computer or the wall, I receive a notification saying "The dock is connected" which is obviously odd as I have actually just disconnected the cabling. Along with this message, the docking audible is heard when plugging in the charger on either the computer or the wall.
When I plug into my computer, the phone is no longer recognized as a USB device either which makes it difficult to back anything up at this point.
I do not have the lighting bolt or any blinking LED's while the charging cable is plugged in.
So far I have done the following to troubleshoot
- tried different cable on both the computer and wall
- power cycled the phone multiple times
- checked for system updates. I am up to date.
- cleaned / blown out the charging port
- cleared system cache
I have not yet done a factory reset for obvious (last resort) reasons.
Samsung :: I760 / Need Power Connected To Turn On Even With Full Charge
Apr 24, 2010Sometimes when I need to reboot/reset my i760 (Winmob 6.1, Spb Shell) it will not finish the boot cycle. I turn it on, I get the Samsung logo, the dark blue static Verizon wireless screen, then it about a half a second into the next screen (where the Verizon wireless logo "floats" down to a light blue screen) the system powers off. You can just see the red check in the logo start to draw and head down and the system just goes off.I thought I had solved it by pulling the battery for about 30 seconds, but now that doesn't fix the problem anymore. The only way to make the phone power on is to connect it to a power source (charger or cradle). Then it powers on normally.It does not matter the charge on the battery at the moment - I've had it do it any charge level, including 100% just off a overnight charge. This battery will normally last me 2 days of hard use.Any ideas?

Apr 23, 2012I have a problem with my iPhone 3 GS. I have bought it two years ago. Since december 2011 a have a problem with it. Whenever it is stressed (loading websites, opening an app, searching network, sending an imessage,...) it simply turns off. I am not able to turn it on without connect it to power source. The display is black and if I try it to turn on there is the apple but then it turns black again. After a few failed attempt there is the simbol of no battery again (before turning off there was enough). Then, after connectet it, it turns on and behold there is enough battery again, for example 60%.

Aug 24, 2014When I plug my iphone into a usb-hub it won't charge when the hub is only powered byn AC power supply. The usb-hub can also be powered by plugging it into the usb-connector of a laptop. When I do that, the iphone charges.
I already hooked up the usb-hub to a DC regulated power supply unit which can deliver 5 A. The current into the hub goes up to 1.6 A but the iphone doesn't charge.

Nov 22, 2012So what might be the problem, when trying start my phone, without usb cable, it goes on, but after 30 sec or so my phone try reboot itself and this loop continues over and over again.
Only way to start the phone that it will stay on, is using usb-cable connected to pc. When doing so, it start normally without crashing everytime. There is also problem with camera and flash. Both things don't work. Flash not even try start but when pushing the camera solution, it will try to start, but after a second it crashes.
Judging from the symptoms I think that there my might be some problem with starting procedures when phone is turned on. The phone maybe trying to check something like camera or flash and crashes doing so. But why this not happen when I have connected my phone with usb to pc? Why this way I can start my phone normally and start using it. I just have avoid to shut it again!

Jun 19, 2012ive been looking at things you can do with the otg cable for galasy s 2 an dam it looks cool. so i got myself a cable 2 acctualy cuz they werent very expensive 1 from amazon an 1 from ebay 2 different cables. it works when i connect a usb flash driver to it totaly fine no problems at all. so i tried my usb mouse/kb, but no luck after a little bit of research i found out that some kb/mouse dont work if they need power so i moved on from that. then i watched some videos an read some threads about using an xbox 360 wired pad but i have the same problem, the lights flash once an then dont come back on an acts like its not powered ive seen others use same pads online an they work fine but not for me.
ps my cables do work usb storage is proff an pad is perfectly fine as i use 2 pads on xbox an work fine.

If I tick on/off meanwhile the USB debug, the USB sign shows up but it's still not charging or connecting. I copied the contents of the former onto the latter via my PC.Since I did that, the phone starts to play one of the mp3 tracks I copied to it (always the same) as soon as I connect the USB cable, regardless whether it's for synchronising or charging.The song is not played by the audio player app - if I start a track there, then I here both at the same time. Killing all processes doesn't stop it either.The only way is to switch off the phone. Switching it on again doesn't restart the music, unless the cable is removed and plugged in again.Obviously this is more of an oddity than a problem, but it is somewhat annoying, especially since I usually intend to fill the battery when connecting the phone, not drain it with a song on its lips.

Sep 8, 2011Purchased the Bionic and several accessories including the car dock today. When I opened the car dock package, I discovered that the way the Bionic dock is made requires a special micro USB to regular USB cable in order to be able to power the phone while it is in the dock.
This cable is shown in the owners manual for the dock, but was not included in my package. Instead, I got a cable suitable only for plugging the audio from the Bionic headphone jack to the aux input on the car stereo.
Did anyone else get the Bionic car dock? If so, did you get the power / audio cable described in the owners manual or just the audio cable I mention above? I will probably go discuss with Verizon tomorrow too, but just wanted to know if anyone here knows what was supposed to be in the car dock package.

May 8, 2012I connect my X8 via the USB cable to my computer and it won't charge at all. At first, I get on the phone the normal message showing me 3 options "Connect to Computer", "Install PC Companion" or "Charge phone". When I select charge phone, it seem as if it were charging normally: the charging LED goes on, the battery icon on the top right of the screen changes as if it were charging too. But the battery charge percentage keeps going down and down. If I plug the phone at home (AC adaptor), it charges OK. Also in the car, with the car adaptor. But no way with USB.
