The phone won't recognize or charge with the cable. I sent the phone away for repair only to get a response from Bell saying the issue is not covered under warranty and is unrepairable. When I received the phone back I found out it will still charge with the wireless pad I bought. What are my options?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince I have updated my Samsung S5 to Android v5.0 I am finding that my phone locks up while it is on wireless charge. I have the samsung back cover and also the samsung wireless dock for wireless charging.
It does not happen everytime I charge the phone via wireless charging. But since I've updated which was around two weeks ago. It has done it three times approx.
I just see a dulled Samsung screen and the phone is unresponsive to any buttons including holding down the power button to turn the phone off. I end up having to pull out the battery and replace it again in order to get the phone to work again.
As of this morning, my phone no longer charges using the supplied Samsung charger. Additionally, when I UNPLUG the cable from my computer or the wall, I receive a notification saying "The dock is connected" which is obviously odd as I have actually just disconnected the cabling. Along with this message, the docking audible is heard when plugging in the charger on either the computer or the wall.
When I plug into my computer, the phone is no longer recognized as a USB device either which makes it difficult to back anything up at this point.
I do not have the lighting bolt or any blinking LED's while the charging cable is plugged in.
So far I have done the following to troubleshoot
- tried different cable on both the computer and wall
- power cycled the phone multiple times
- checked for system updates. I am up to date.
- cleaned / blown out the charging port
- cleared system cache
I have not yet done a factory reset for obvious (last resort) reasons.
That allows you to charge the Razr V3 while using the USB data cable? In other words, such a cable would have to have a 'Y' configuration with two inputs and one output to the phone. The two inputs need to accept the 5-pin male mini USB connector from the charger and the 5-pin male mini USB connector from the data cable
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis annoying issue just started in the last few days. I use wireless charging almost exclusively including in the car. Once the phone is completely charged it cycles between charging and not charging. Every time it starts charging again it wakes the screen up and does the charging started notification which means a I get a notification sound about every minute or so.
View 3 Replies View RelatedLast night I used the official Samsung wireless charger to charge my phone overnight. The battery graph shows it reached 100% at 2am, but then dropped back down to 92% when I picked it up in the morning. The highest battery usage app was "Connection Optimizer" with 2% usage which doesn't seem like a lot. I've disabled it under the "Mobile Networks" setting so we'll see if that works. But somehow I doubt that was causing the drain.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI connect my X8 via the USB cable to my computer and it won't charge at all. At first, I get on the phone the normal message showing me 3 options "Connect to Computer", "Install PC Companion" or "Charge phone". When I select charge phone, it seem as if it were charging normally: the charging LED goes on, the battery icon on the top right of the screen changes as if it were charging too. But the battery charge percentage keeps going down and down. If I plug the phone at home (AC adaptor), it charges OK. Also in the car, with the car adaptor. But no way with USB.

The Droid 3 will not charge at all from my car's integrated USB cable. Every other device I have (including other Motorola phones) have no trouble at all charging off the same cord. Given the existing battery issues with the Droid 3, a quick fix would be wonderful. Not sure if there is anything I can change in the settings to address this. This is not an issue of the device using more power than the cable provides, when I say it doesn't charge, I mean it doesn't charge at all. I have heard similar complaints on other forums but search didn't yield any results comparable to this post.

It does charge with the USB cable when connected to the PC (for now). The cables are the ones that came with the phone. The USB port of the phone is fine. I tested the cable and it works properly.I think that the OS v5.0.0.438 is causing the phone not to recognize when it is connected to the wall.
I am worried that it is a progressive issue and then the phone will not charge at all.Can anyone tell me if there is a fix for the USB driver of the phone for it to recognize that is connected.
Title pretty much says it all. If i turn off my phone and plug in my lightning cable, it will turn it on like normal. Although when its done, its not charging. Is there any fix for this?Â
-Yes its a certified cable
- Yes I've tried to clean the lightning port
- When I charge with an non-certified cable, it will charge just fine, but it'll give me a popup saying its not certified.

So she has had the phone for a month and from what i know, it worked fine no issues. ATT forgot to order her a wireless charger so they finally did and used it for the first time last night. Not sure how long she charged, but after chargine, the phone did not work and she could not boot the phone.
I asked her to ry to do a soft reset by holding the volume and middle button, the phone vibrates after 10 seconds, but it shoes a blue screen. I asked her to do a hard reset wiping everything and starting frrom factory, same thing happens with a blue screen coming on and nothing else.
Im not certain if she had the update either, i doubt she has the update. Is there a way to get this phone up and running or will i have to do a warranty exchange?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm sure the title set off a few noob alarms Everything I've read online says USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with USB 2.0. I recently bought a pair of Anker micro USB 3.0 cables from Amazon UK (can't post a link). When I use these to try to connect my Samsung S5 to my computers, I get mixed results.
On my desktop: plugging into a USB 3.0 port on the motherboard works fine. The USB front panel of my case is USB 2.0 only. Plugging the phone into these ports using the Anker cable results in the phone only charging, Windows does see it. These ports work fine with the phone if I use a micro USB 2.0 cable.
On my laptop, all the ports as USB 2.0. Plugging the phone into the standard ports results in the phone only charging, Linux does mount the phone. However, plug the phone into the yellow "always on" port and my phone is detected.Do I have duff cable, duff phone or there some odd incompatibility here?

But when I want to plug it into the 3.5mm AUX cable in my car, or to connect it to my stereo, nothing happens. Volume is turned up all the way. The music app/spotify/youtube is playing. Other phones and devices play through the same cables.
It's just when connecting to my car or stereo. I'm new to Android...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've purchased my Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) a month earlier. It has updated to Lollipop 5.1.1 15 days before. Yesterday, I bought a OTG cable but it can't read 64GB flash drive. However, it can read all 2 of my 32GB flash drives.
Why:
1. it is not reading 64GB flash drive?
2. what to do to read 64GB, 128GB or more storage via OTG cable?

I brought a Samsung wireless charger. The first few days, it worked flawlessly, but today when putting the phone on at 27%, when it hit around 85-90%, it started saying "Wireless charging have stopped" even tho it still charges. It's annoying, cause the screen light up, it vibrates and I get notification about it, but it starts charging right after?
Do you think this is a phone or wireless charger problem? Also, will this hurt my battery in any way? I mean if I leave it overnight, would it hurt the battery that the battery start charging, stopping again and then start again? This is around every sec or so.
I'm in Oz using Telstra 4G. I have some apps which refuse to believe there is an internet connection - they have worked in the past on 4G, but they don't any more, even on full bars. If I use a browser though, I can confirm internet connection. Examples are CommBank, St George Banking, Parkmobile. Facebook is inconsistent - often not loading photos.
I'm new to Android - on Apple you could select which apps do or don't have mobile access. On Android I think the closest thing is to Restrict Background Data which is not applicable here because the app is in the foreground (it's not restricted in any case)
