Nokia Lumia :: 920 Not Working After Wireless Charge?
Dec 26, 2012
So she has had the phone for a month and from what i know, it worked fine no issues. ATT forgot to order her a wireless charger so they finally did and used it for the first time last night. Not sure how long she charged, but after chargine, the phone did not work and she could not boot the phone.
I asked her to ry to do a soft reset by holding the volume and middle button, the phone vibrates after 10 seconds, but it shoes a blue screen. I asked her to do a hard reset wiping everything and starting frrom factory, same thing happens with a blue screen coming on and nothing else.
Im not certain if she had the update either, i doubt she has the update. Is there a way to get this phone up and running or will i have to do a warranty exchange?
I bought the 920 upon returning from vacation on 11/13. I bought the wireless charging stand as well. The first few days it worked flawlessly. I went away on a business trip and upon my return the phone would no longer charge wirelessly.
I went to ATT to have them look at it. I was given the run around and told I had to run across town (an hour away) to their service center where I also got a good run around. I asked them if they could open a charger to see if it was my charger or the phone. They assured me it was the charger based on literally no diagnosis. Extremely frustrating. They ordered a replacement which they assured me would be here in two days. Its been almost two weeks.
Anyway, today I finally received the wireless charging plate from the ATT promotion. I promptly opened the box to see if my phone would charge hoping it would. However it does not.
Now, with both the stand and the plate, they light comes on acknowledging the link, and on the stand the nfc app launcher works. Neither will charge the phone.
Is there anything that I can try? I have already don't a hard reset erasing all my data, multiple resets, scanned through all the settings, etc.
Does the DT-900 work with the 822? Order one with my phone but it doesn't work. So not sure if its not compatible or something wrong with the phone or the charging plate.
I have a Nokia Lumia 920, which works perfectly fine. I haven't had some of the other issues reported here with freezing, apps, etc.I have a Nokia charging plate and I've found that no matter what I do the wireless charging plate absolutely does not work. I've turned off Bluetooth, Wifi, turned ON Battery Saver, disabled every background app, even hard reset my phone and tried charging it from stock. The wireless charging plate doesn't even maintain the current battery state - The battery slowly drains hour by hour. I've also tried placing the phone on the charging plate in different positions to ensure it's making good contact.
Just received two wrieless charing plates. Despite of the fact that their power adapters are white while they are black (Would be nice if Nokia could match their colors, it isn't so hard and would look much better) none of them seem to be working.Tried both of them with two different Lumia 920s and nothing happens, no lights or anything. Is there anything I'm missing or did Nokia just sent two deffective units? I find it hard that I was that unlucky.
I bought my lumia 920 yesterday and while it charges in my car with an USB charging adapter it doesn't so with the delivered ac charger! The curios thing is, my old lumia 900 gets charged with the same one... What can i do?
Has anyone had experience yet with wireless charging? I am hesitating to purchase a wireless plate as I have my phone within a leather safety case. Has anybody been able to charge their phone wirelessly while the phone is inside a case? Or will it only work in its original condition i.e. no case at all. If anyone has any info it would be great.
I Have the beautiful Lumia 920 and I got the Wireless Charger in order to use it in the Office, I found that it's taken too long time to charge my battery, for example today I charger from 45% to 100% in 4.5 Hours!
Today I received 2 Nokia wireless charger as part of the free charger with the new Lumia 920 on AT&T. When I tried to charge my phone it worked just fine, but when I tried to charge my wife phone it didn't charge, her was in battery save mode so I tried charging it with the usb cable until it got out of battery save mode and tried again with no luck.
I tried in both wireless charger devices both phones and had the same result, my phone charged and my wife's didn't. The light in the charger device does light up with no blinking hinting that the phone is charging but there's no notification on the phone side (no sound, battery icon don't change, battery keeps dropping).
The other difference between the two phones is that her's is high gloss red and mine is matte black.
I have a lumia 920 and the wireless charging pad.My phone was able to charge wirelessly yesterday but now it does not work at all.My friend has a lumia 920 as well and he was able to place his phone on my pad and started charging right away.
The manual states that the light is supposed to turn off when the device is fully charged. So far, my light on the charging stand has not turned itself off. Has anyone experienced differently?
If I were to purchase the 920 from Best Buy Wireless or directly from the online Microsoft Store, would I still be able to get the free wireless charging plate?
I have 920 and JBL PowerUp Wireless Charging Speaker for Nokia. When I play music with Bluetooth, I can hear periodic static and pop sounds. However, when I connect the phone directly with the speaker with wire, those static sound goes away.
I have been looking to buy a wireless charging shell (CC-3041) for my new Lumia 820.
According to this website [URL]... global/products/accessory/cc-3041/ there are SEVEN different colours including purple and grey. Yet every where I look the range on offer is only the FIVE colours except for purple and grey! Where are they?
Nokia shouldnt give out false pretences if the purples and greys aren't meant to be for sale. Anyone know where they have disappeared to? And if there are for sale, anyone know where to buy them.
I want to know if its ok for me to go to sleep and leave my Lumia 800 phone charging. It will be fully charged in 2 hours (when I am sleeping) but I want to know if its ok for me to leave it plugged until I wake up 8 hours later. Will this affect my battery, or is it ok.
had my phone for 3 days now, i noticed that charging it was kinda annoying from a dead phone, last night it died and i was going to do a full charge cycle, i put it on change before i went to bed, it vibrated to say its connect and i left it, woke up this morning unplugged and it wouldnt turn on so i left it a couple of minutes and tryed again still nothing, i tried plugging it to my computer and it came up saying i need some drivers and need to format the phone i ignored it, the battery symbol came up then the vodafone screen left it for a while then tried turning it on again and nothing just black, not vibes or nothing, now i dont even get a vibe when i plug it into my my computer or power source....
Just the other day my Lumia 920 stopped charging when placed on awireless charging plate. I have placed it on multiple plates, and while it will turn the device on as if it is powering the device, and the light on the plate turns on, it does not actually charge. Rebooting has not fixed it.
The phone won't recognize or charge with the cable. I sent the phone away for repair only to get a response from Bell saying the issue is not covered under warranty and is unrepairable. When I received the phone back I found out it will still charge with the wireless pad I bought. What are my options?
Since I have updated my Samsung S5 to Android v5.0 I am finding that my phone locks up while it is on wireless charge. I have the samsung back cover and also the samsung wireless dock for wireless charging.
It does not happen everytime I charge the phone via wireless charging. But since I've updated which was around two weeks ago. It has done it three times approx.
I just see a dulled Samsung screen and the phone is unresponsive to any buttons including holding down the power button to turn the phone off. I end up having to pull out the battery and replace it again in order to get the phone to work again.
I just picked up two new nokia icons off ebay.. it was listed as new at least.. came in a box etc..
If i plug it in to charge.. it charges at about 1% per hour if that.. turn the screen on and it drops several percent,. use it unplugged and it rapidly discharges maybe 15% or more in a very short period of time.
Im guessing i got a bad batch?
Its very odd that both phones exhibit the same behavior.. and just for kicks i left 8.1 on one and put 10 on the other.
I bought this phone for my son for Christmas and despite having it on charge for a few hours it still shows that there's 56% battery charge then once you unplug the charger the phone won't turn on, completely dead! Tried to check software but when I plug it into laptop it just says device unplugged, the only time I got it to recognise it it was unable to find device driver software. Must admit its completely put me off this phone before we've started, I champion Nokia all the time but wish I'd bought him an iPhone now!!
Now i have a dead Nokia 800 sitting buzzing away every 1.5 minutes, This is not a conection prob it's software it just doesnt have eneough energy to reboot its self and go into charge mode, it way too sensitive and obviously a big issue for Nokia.Well after reading this thread and then HAVING to register to post and a loyal Nokia customer for over a decade. i was so looking forward to the 920. Think i'll try Android smart next NOW ADD THIS UPDATE
I was able to charge my lumia 900 with my car (Toyota Prius 2010) USB until the latest firmware upgrade. Only catch was to use original cable came along with phone. It didn't accept any other micro USB cables. But after the latest update even the original cable doesn't work! All the cables works well to charge the phone when connected to laptop. I am having hard time using it as i frequently travel.Ideally i should be able to charge with any micro USB cable in the car. Could you guys suggest any workarounds or fixes? Not to mention my iPhone was perfect in USB recharge though it is a slow recharge.
Iv read so much on new batteries that my head hurts...Okay, so, do we still drain mobile phone batteries and fully charge them (and keep running this cycle for optimizing battery life)Iv read that its best to keep topping your battery up with charge, never letting it get too low??Also first charges - 24hrs, 12hrs, 6?? I let my new lumia 920 run its factory power until it shut down due to no battery life remaining and the I charged for around 5 hours. Did anyone do anything ignificantly different on there first charge?
