View 9 RepliesI just picked up two new nokia icons off ebay.. it was listed as new at least.. came in a box etc..
If i plug it in to charge.. it charges at about 1% per hour if that.. turn the screen on and it drops several percent,. use it unplugged and it rapidly discharges maybe 15% or more in a very short period of time.
Im guessing i got a bad batch?
Its very odd that both phones exhibit the same behavior.. and just for kicks i left 8.1 on one and put 10 on the other.
That allows you to charge the Razr V3 while using the USB data cable? In other words, such a cable would have to have a 'Y' configuration with two inputs and one output to the phone. The two inputs need to accept the 5-pin male mini USB connector from the charger and the 5-pin male mini USB connector from the data cable

View 2 Replies View RelatedAbout Nokia Lumia 800, how much time a battery charge lasts in these situations:
1) Phone active but not used (switch on, screen light off)
2) Phone not active (switch off)A battery charge of my Nokia Lumia 800, with moderate usage, lasts only 24-48 hours. Is it normal for this product?
I bought this phone for my son for Christmas and despite having it on charge for a few hours it still shows that there's 56% battery charge then once you unplug the charger the phone won't turn on, completely dead! Tried to check software but when I plug it into laptop it just says device unplugged, the only time I got it to recognise it it was unable to find device driver software. Must admit its completely put me off this phone before we've started, I champion Nokia all the time but wish I'd bought him an iPhone now!!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought a new battery on eBay and had it installed. It looked legit, says Nokia, came in decent looking packaging etc. It doesn't matter how long it's plugged in for, it won't go past 80% charge. Battery performance is good, at least compared to before the replacement. I'm just wondering if the phone is just reporting it wrong, or if there is something wrong with the battery.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIv read so much on new batteries that my head hurts...Okay, so, do we still drain mobile phone batteries and fully charge them (and keep running this cycle for optimizing battery life)Iv read that its best to keep topping your battery up with charge, never letting it get too low??Also first charges - 24hrs, 12hrs, 6?? I let my new lumia 920 run its factory power until it shut down due to no battery life remaining and the I charged for around 5 hours. Did anyone do anything ignificantly different on there first charge?
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday I spent a couple hours taking some photographs and came home to do some design work and I left the 1020 charged in. Yet as the day went on, the phone never charged, it continued to go down, even plugged in. I tried plugging in the camera extension but even with that it eventually discharged to 4% then stuck there, plugged in. When I'd unplug, I would get the critical battery warning. I tried rebooting twice, and finally on the 2nd reboot, the battery level went to 100%.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Lumia 1020 for about 11 months now and today it stopped charging. If I try to turn on the phone, I can see the low battery indicator. Then the phone will proceed to turn off after a few seconds. I have tried a soft reset by holding down power and volume down at the same time. I can feel a small vibration after 6 seconds of doing this, but otherwise nothing happens. I have tried 2 different chargers, as well as connecting to the USB in the computer.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just got my Lumia 800 and seems pretty fancy. But still one thing which really bothers me a lot. The battery life! I have update to WP7.5 on day 1. System information as below:
OS version 7.10.8107.79
Firmware version : 1600.2487.8107.12070
The thing is, I unplugged the charger at 9 in the morning and when it came to around 9 in the night. The battery is critical low. I just made few calls, text and no more than 10 mins twitter stuff and the battery is done? My iphone could even stand for 1 day with this usage. I tried everything, reset the fone. But seems not working.
Recently swapped from Android to the Lumia 920 so i know little or nothing about the OS.Issue: Phone battery dies over night, in the morning when i plug it into charge for 15-20 mins the phone does not turn on/ shows no battery indicator/ no signs of life.So i have to resort to doing a softreset everymorning in order for the phone to turn on. Originally i thought this was a faulty handset. However it might simply be a battery saver gimmick wherby the phone has to be charged for a longer period of time before it can turn on or show any sign of life, after being fully drained
View 6 Replies View RelatedI don't know how to test the Type-C cables so I downloaded Ampere from the Google PlayStore.
I only use the official cable & wall charger that came with the phone.
Ampere states that it is charging the Nexus 6P at a rate of 1360mA-2230mA. Every time I charge it is charging at the 1300mA range.
I have already read enough of this great forum post, I hope in the future to helpbeginners like me, one day we had to IOS (formerly had a Galaxy S2) and now we are more than comfortable with my 4s!I have the cell phone constantly charging, either in the Dock, when I go to bed, Through The cable in my university (when I'm in class or on the computer in the Library), this because the phone if consuming battery (I have the iOS 5.0.1) and hate running out of battery (no phone) when I'm away from home. Then the doubt (I've already searched in many forums) is whether this is detrimental tothe battery of the phone, or simply when the iPhone detects that is loaded, just stops receiving load and nothing happens:

I connect my X8 via the USB cable to my computer and it won't charge at all. At first, I get on the phone the normal message showing me 3 options "Connect to Computer", "Install PC Companion" or "Charge phone". When I select charge phone, it seem as if it were charging normally: the charging LED goes on, the battery icon on the top right of the screen changes as if it were charging too. But the battery charge percentage keeps going down and down. If I plug the phone at home (AC adaptor), it charges OK. Also in the car, with the car adaptor. But no way with USB.

The Droid 3 will not charge at all from my car's integrated USB cable. Every other device I have (including other Motorola phones) have no trouble at all charging off the same cord. Given the existing battery issues with the Droid 3, a quick fix would be wonderful. Not sure if there is anything I can change in the settings to address this. This is not an issue of the device using more power than the cable provides, when I say it doesn't charge, I mean it doesn't charge at all. I have heard similar complaints on other forums but search didn't yield any results comparable to this post.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with my phone and is that it does not charge using the wall cable. It does charge with the USB cable when connected to the PC (for now). The cables are the ones that came with the phone. The USB port of the phone is fine. I tested the cable and it works properly.I think that the OS v5.0.0.438 is causing the phone not to recognize when it is connected to the wall.
I am worried that it is a progressive issue and then the phone will not charge at all.Can anyone tell me if there is a fix for the USB driver of the phone for it to recognize that is connected.
Title pretty much says it all. If i turn off my phone and plug in my lightning cable, it will turn it on like normal. Although when its done, its not charging. Is there any fix for this?Â
-Yes its a certified cable
- Yes I've tried to clean the lightning port
- When I charge with an non-certified cable, it will charge just fine, but it'll give me a popup saying its not certified.

1st question - Is there any problem if i unplug iPhone 4 charger first, instead of the cable connected to the mobile phone, after the charge is completed?
2nd question - Is it advisable to do a hard reset once a week, in order to mantain phone/battery at their high capacity?

I have a jailbroken iPhone4, when i go to bed.. ill charge it, i turn my laptop off when i go to sleep unplug my iPhone which is now at 100%.. i wake up and my iPhone is on 75% or less.. wtf? I don't have winterboard installed.I have activator, bitesms, cyntact, emoji, five icon dock, iconclasm, fiveicondock, ifile, infinifolders, libdisplaystack, lib weather, make it mine, music controls, remove recents, retinawallpapers hd, sbsettings, snaptap, wifisync and 3g unrestrictor.
I am on 4.0.1, i tried to restore it using 4.0.1 firmware i downloaded and it says iPhone unable to restore due to firmware being for inappropriate build or something along those lines.I went for a day out the other week, got 5hrs 30 mins useage with music playback and some internet browsing on 3g, few txts and calls, that can't be right can it?
A few days ago I dropped my phone on the ground. Since then, my battery lasts no more than 2 hours tops. I suppose it would be a hardware issue, yeah? And regular Apple Care doesn't cover a drop, correct? (The glass is slightly cracked as well).
View 4 Replies View RelatedAs of this morning, my phone no longer charges using the supplied Samsung charger. Additionally, when I UNPLUG the cable from my computer or the wall, I receive a notification saying "The dock is connected" which is obviously odd as I have actually just disconnected the cabling. Along with this message, the docking audible is heard when plugging in the charger on either the computer or the wall.
When I plug into my computer, the phone is no longer recognized as a USB device either which makes it difficult to back anything up at this point.
I do not have the lighting bolt or any blinking LED's while the charging cable is plugged in.
So far I have done the following to troubleshoot
- tried different cable on both the computer and wall
- power cycled the phone multiple times
- checked for system updates. I am up to date.
- cleaned / blown out the charging port
- cleared system cache
I have not yet done a factory reset for obvious (last resort) reasons.
I have this big problem with my 3GS.about 2 months ago it fell into a swimming pool I let it sit on my kitchen table to dry out and have not touched it. So today I was just wondering if it was going to work, and I plugged it in and it actually started up! Everything works perfectly to my suprise except the battery will not charge. It says it has 15% battery, and wont charge anymore. If I remove the charger it immediately turns off? I still think there is life for my IPhone. Anybody have any suggestions? Does the battery need replaced?

When I leave the phone sitting for a few minutes it drops from H+ to H meaning I can't access the internet on IE or receive Whatsapp messages. If I toggle flight mode on and off or restart the phone it works fine for maybe 10 minutes or so.
I have network selected manually, I have tried automatic selection, it makes no difference. I also have 3G set as the highest connection speed. I upgraded to WP8.1 last week but have had no issues until now.
