For the last 2-3 days, my phone is draining the battery extrememly rapidly.I am not doing anything differently than before, and I"ve had teh phone for 5 months. What is going on?

My iphone 4S which i had it for the last 7 month start acting up , overheat , draining power dramatically , after resetting everything and restore it back still having the same issue , i went to Apple store , swapped with a new iphone , but few hours later had the same problem .I'm not quite sure if there is a web diagonistics tool i can download and test .

When I switched my phone off last night it was on 67%.When I woke up this morning at 7.00am it was on 17% and told me to connect charger.At 10.30am the battery indicator was showing 29%.At 12noon the indicator was showing 33% at which point it has remained for the rest of the day until now and it is reading 29%.how the phone discharges when it is switched off. Secondly how is it increasing in power?

Or just fade it down, it doesn't have to shine so bright! + drains the battery, please put a on and off switch for the keyboard backlight in the next update, I have already turned off my 3g because my battery doesn't even last 1 day. And one more thing, I think it should be possible to chose if u want the display to auto rotate or just stay in landscape mode all the time. View 3 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone gets hot after 15 or so minutes whilst on Skype phone conversation and normal phone conversation and it makes it impossible to talk for longer than that, this has happened for a long time now and my warranty has expired. Also my phone can barely last more than an hour if I use it to download and view my PDF files from my inbox using 3G and a quarter of my battery is drained just from listening to it for an hour.

My iPhone has no power after I tried restoring it. I've tried everything. Holding wake/sleep button and home key. NOTHING. I tired keeping it plugged into my computer and resetting the computer. Still NOTHING. The phone has no power so I can't really do any kind of resets.

One of the suggested fixes was to not restore a backup when setting up the phone and instead to have a clean start. So out of interest, who restored a backup when setting up there Lumia 950 and did you suffer a battery drain problem? Same goes for those who didn't restore from backup, did you suffer battery drain issues?

for a couple of weeks now the connection on my iPhone 5 has been bad when trying to charge. It would constantly connect and then disconnect straight away until you got it into a very still position where the cable or the phone would not be touched. Now the phone has stopped charging altogether. I have checked the charging port to see if there is any lint but there is none in there. The strange thing is that if you turn the phone off, and then plug the cable into the phone it recognize it and then will turn on.I have got a genius bar appointment in the next couple of days but will have to go without a phone until then, and it is also out of warranty so I assume apple will try to make me pay for it if it needs fixing. All of a sudden, the battery on my phone has been draining really quickly.I charged the phone last night. Took it off charge about 7.30am and by 9am it is on 80%.
I have done a factory reset, but this doesnt seem to help.Does anyone have any ideas what could have happened?
I have a blackberry 9300 3G curve with OS 6. Since past two days my battery is draining off very fast. I have changed the battery but the problem still exists. Even if i switch off the phone and switch it on again the battery is discharged.
I have only basic blackberry apps + facebook + whats app + google maps only. Rest i have uninstalled.
am I right in thinking the 1020 needs 2amp power supply to use the sat nav,just bought a power supply for my bike which Amazon seller says is 2 amp,tried it on the way home this evening and battery went from 70% to 50% after twenty minutes which I guess means it's not up to the job,are all lumias high drainage when using the sat nav

The problem is that the battery has the same behavior, you can't go 10 hours without having to recharge the phone and this is without heavy usage: pretty much just messaging, calls and email. I see that the porcess that is consuming the battery is the gpsd service but I have the gps disable.

I know it has a quad HD screen but my battery drains WHEN THE SCREEN IS OFF. My provider (T-Mobile) says one reason could be that I used all my data (T-Mobile just slows down your speeds). This can also mean it's constantly searching for a better signal. Sometimes I don't get reception indoors but usually my reception is good.
Now, I would understand if my battery was dropping IF I had the screen on, but it's not. It's dropping a percent every 2-3 minutes.
My data plan reloads in two days so I can see if it gets better but if not, I will be switching to an iPhone.
I recently dropped my phone and the top button will not work. Is there any other way to put the iPhone into sleep mode?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am a new Blackberry user. I have only had my Tour for about a month. The Tour has been amazing and ran really well up till about 2 days ago. At that time it started to take at least 30 seconds to acknowledge I did anything. I would move the scroll ball and it would take 30 seconds to move. I would click on my text icon and it would take a minute to load my texts i would click on a new text and it would take 30 seconds to load it. I had to pull my battery out and put it back (6 - 8 min restart of the phone..) at minimum of 5 times throughout the day for it to even run.That is when I started noticing that it was also draining my battery like no other. I fully charged my batter yesterday afternoon/evening and unplugged it, when to bed (didn't use it except for maybe 10 outgoing and incoming texts) slept from 12am to 630am and my phone is DEAD! I didn't have ANY apps running, the phone was just on and not in use - whatsoever.
Does anyone know why or know what to do? We all know how "helpful" tech support can be, so I'm trying to avoid calling them by coming here.
I am sure there are a lot of posts about this, but my question may be a little harder to find. I had issues with my phone and called warrenty so they sent me another one, I feel like the battery is draining a lot faster in this new phone, but its the same battery? Does that make sense? I didnt think it did...any suggestions
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have tried taking the battery out to reset it and I also closed open apps I am not using but nothing seems to work.My phone has drained its battery 3 times already today and I only charge it when the battery is super low which is usually 1-2 days. I only use the phone for personal use and do not have a lot of apps on it.All this started last night out of the blue. It was fine all day yesterday.It is also constantly timing out. I will type a BBM to someone and every 3 words, I see the little clock ticking Lastly, I noticed while I was talking on it a few minutes ago, it got really hot which I haven't noticed before (I had it plugged in since it's not keeping a charge). Is this related to the recent issues or does this mean my phone is done? It has been draining away quite quickly for some time now and I don't know why. I have researched online and I know about 'thirsty' apps but the only ones I have installed are the only ones I have ever used and I never had an issue with battery drain before. Phine is approx 5 months old bought brand new.
Today, for example, I unplugged it from its charge about 5 minutes before I left home, never used it in that 5 minutes and when I looked at it, the battery was on 97%.
I have to recharge the mobile once in 24 hours. It is also not stable and it varies as I will use my phone light to moderate.in the night when i turn on the flight mode it decreases by 10%.When I do not turn on the flight ode it decreases by 12%I am using Eclair in Moto Defy with Motoblur in India.As per the update site it says that Q2 2011. Is it possible to provide a tentative month will be great to move to Froyo.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am new, both to android and my S6 Edge. It is on 5.0.2, rooted, and do not tell me to RESET TO FACTORY. I can't really do it because I don't want to, there is a lot of great apps and the internet in my country is very bad.
Idk if it is due to the root itself. The closest I got was "cocktailbar service", and my S6 Flip cover (they don't have Edge cover so I improvised).
I check every night for wifi, location services and running activities. However, no matter what I do, I fail. It won't go to sleep. When I wake up, it is really warm and it is at 50-60%. I think it is something you guys call wakelock. This is really frustrating; one reason why I like Apple and their iOS.
I tried various methods. I have some screenshots you can take a look at. You see that it won't go to sleep, not for a second and the CPU is really hot.
I upgraded to a 64gb SD card, roughly two weeks ago, and I had several problems trying to transfer all of my music and pictures and whatnot over to it from my 32gb SD card...ended up losing a lot of them because of having to re-format the card (I have a memory card recovery program on my computer already, so losing things is not a concern at this point) .
HOWEVER, my phone fully recognized the 64gb card immediately, once I properly formatted it and whatnot, but only for like a day, then I started getting error notifications that the card was not properly inserted, or the phone was not reading it, etc...the card has been inserted into my phone for about 10 days at this point... a friend of mine also has the same phone as I do (s5) and it reads just fine, as does her card in my phone, so clearly it doesn't seem to be an issue with the card itself, or the card reader slot..since other cards are registering..?
Then there's also the issue of my battery randomly draining unusually fast the last few days...and this has only been happening over the last three days...I did go to Sprint two days ago and they "primed the battery" but it did not work at all (battery life went down from 87% to completely dead in less than 5 hours last evening)...
I recently have been having some weird problems with my HTC One M7. My battery has been draining a heck of a lot faster than it used to. It has also been lagging quite a bit. Sometimes extremely.
For example. One day it drained 40% in one hour. As I am typing this, it has drained 6% in like 3 mins. That's insane.
For an example of lag, it has been registering short presses as long ones, or taking a long time to pop up the lock screen, or open the app drawer. Some times a few seconds.
I recently installed the newest sense update, and installed tasker from aptoide, but then deleted it.
When I tried to factory reset it, it does nothing. Same for removing device admins. ( I was trying to uninstall ac display).

My phone just couldn't charge and before the battery died, my phone said that it was using too much power to charge. I bought my HTC One from Phones 4u last September and to my luck, when my phone has problems, the company stops functioning. I have tried using different cables/plugs to charge but to no avail.
I emailed HTC and they haven't replied after 3 days. I'm not entirely sure what are the procedures for sending my phone for repairs, but I will definitely call them soon if they don't reply.
