IPhone 5 Not Charging But Will Power On If Turn Phone Off

for a couple of weeks now the connection on my iPhone 5 has been bad when trying to charge. It would constantly connect and then disconnect straight away until you got it into a very still position where the cable or the phone would not be touched. Now the phone has stopped charging altogether. I have checked the charging port to see if there is any lint but there is none in there. The strange thing is that if you turn the phone off, and then plug the cable into the phone it recognize it and then will turn on.I have got a genius bar appointment in the next couple of days but will have to go without a phone until then, and it is also out of warranty so I assume apple will try to make me pay for it if it needs fixing. It has been acting up the past few days, randomly turning itself off, and I am trying to get it to turn back on. Randomly it will turn back on when I push the power button, but is unresponsive when doing all the reset combos. Today it turned itself off while sitting on the table at home. I have not been able to get it back on and its been about 6 hours now, and its been plugged in to the wall charger the whole time. If I take it to apple, can they pull the serial number off for warranty purposes?
iPhone won't reload. Lost battery power and the phone would not turn on after charging. Tried the restore and get to "Restoring phone" but the status bar on the phone never fills in. Restarted my Mac, did not have a problem connecting with Apple.
I just bought a N97 mini and it seems that when it is in power saver mode, the battery went from 4 bars to 0? I was shocked that I couldn't even turn it on in the morning. It's a real bummer when I have to leave the house and I realise my phone died overnight. Is this normal? Is there any way to save energy when I leave the phone in that mode at night? I'm very sure I have turned off all Wifi and Wlan and Bluetooth settings. Also, I believe my wall charger is faulty. There is no white light when plugged in. (Another bummer, when I returned home and realise my phone has not been charging the whole time I was out.) However, when I use the usb on my computer it works just fine.
How to turn off the power up sound on the S5? I prefer no noise when I start my phone (now if you could also get rid of the Verizon screen... but I know better)...

While charging the phone last night, it had reached a full charge and I heard the notification for so. I unplugged the phone and it was unresponsive to knock to wake, and the power buttons. I tried plugging the phone back in to charge, but it will not recognize it. I have tried holding down every button combination to turn on the phone, but it never even starts the boot animation. I have also tried removing the battery and plugging in the phone hoping to eliminate the battery from the equation to no avail.
As soon as I restore iphone 4 firmware in itune, the power turn off and doesn't turn on again thought I press the power .It seems dead.Hardware damage?
For some reason, my HTC One's screen started to stay on indefinitely when being charged. Normally if i'm charging my phone when i'm on my computer. However, when I am charging it while i sleep, i just plug it in and then go to bed. Once I plug it in, the screen stays on unless I turn it off manually.
I set my Display, gestures and buttons -> sleep to 30 seconds but it has no effect. The phone turns it's screen off just fine if I am not charging.
We tried plugging in through several different USB cables/chargers and it doesn't show up as affecting the battery life at all. We've plugged it into the computer; iTunes doesn't recognize it. We were able to push a factory reset, but when we tried to restore it from an old backup, iTunes won't recognize it.
My phone's battery died and it shut off. So I plugged it in to charge. The charging light just blinks instead of shows up solid (could swear this is solid eventually) and was set on charge for an hour.
It won't turn on now. I'm trying to just at least get it on while charging so I don't miss calls but holding down the power button does nothing.
I was on my last day of holiday fone was fully charged and working fine after a.new software update i was out for lunch fone still working and by 4pm its was off with no signs of life plugged it in to charge and still nothing. I flew home with the phone in my suitcase and when i got home i put it on charge and it had a red flashing light so i left it because its the most amount of life i had seen from it.
When I woke 3-4 hours later the screen powered on with the. Charging sign visible and charging i left it like that untill it was 100% and powered it on it worked for around 20 mins and same again died with no sign of life. For the last 24 hours ot has been on charge and only seem to get a flashing red light or a slow flashing light(when attached to.a comp, still didnt connect to pc companion). I have all hols photos videos on it that I haven't backed up yet and all contacts are stored on phone ...
My iPhone 5s will not charge. It went dead about 4 days ago and since has not charged. When connected to the charger it shows on the screen that it is charging but never power up. When I attempt to manually power it on it says it dead connect to the charger.
So, I was talking on my nokia 5250 and suddenly it turned off, it was charging, but now it just doesnt turn on at all. Plugged in it only shows the phone charging,but pressing the powerbutton still doesnt turn it on.
My phone got some water on it and was working fine until it just randomly shut off and refuses to turn on now. I got it to start up to a grey/white screen and a battery with a charging symbol in the middle. If I can get back to the screen is there anything I can do for my phone?
I plugged my bb into the wall and for a little bit it was charging fine but then the symbol disappeared. I unplugged and plugged back in which made the clock pop up so I know it connected right. But its still not charging. I turned the charging indicator led on with berrybuzz and the light didn't turn on when I plugged it in.
Meterberry says the temp is 111 degrees. I don't know what the 'normal' ranges are. I'm still under my 30day warranty so do I take it back? Is anyone else having this problem? Its done this before and it eventually charges but something is going on....
sinse the last update of my xperia ray the phone is discharging the battery to lowest level and can not be charge by wall charger with 1200 mA the only way to charge is with some charge "booster" it's kind of external battery charger.
I'd like to charge my phone with the power off. However, while it charges, no matter when or how many times I power it down, it automatically powers back on. Because I normally charge it while I'm asleep, I don't like hearing any notifications, etc.Is there some way to turn it off and keep it off while charging?
Having problem with z2 with it not charging or.power on? I have the contract with Virgin media and then said it's not under warranty. The phone was great when it worked but I don't no how to fix it it's had a new charging port fitted and been on charge for a long time bit still comes.up when you try power on with the flat battery picture.
I have a problem with my iPhone it keeps turning off when I'm going to sleep and I woke up, my iPhone can't be turned on by pressing the home or sleep wake button but I can turn it on when putting is on an outlet that can charge my device but it's not low bat or out of battery.

I haven't seen anyone having this issue out of the numerous ones I've seen on this site. My iPhone 4's screen was sometimes going black. Hitting the home or power button wouldn't turn it back on. I'd have to hold down the home and power buttons to do a hard reboot to get it back up.
I returned my phone yesterday to get replaced because I was also having the No SIM Card Installed error. My new iPhone 4 is having the same black screen issue occasionally, though.
I cant turn on my Iphone 4S even conected to a power source .... when I conected it to my Itunes says that its in RECOVERY MODE ... What is that ??? Then I try to restore but always appears a messagem saying that an Error Unknoking 1600 ???
Yesterday, 9-2-14, my iPhone 4 unexpectedly powered off when it still had 50% charge. The lock/power button has already been broken for about 5 or 6 months and the screen is cracked. It was working for months even after these things had been wrong with it. I don't know how to turn it back on.
I find that when the phone is on charge I can never power it on, it simply reboot repeatedly after the logo shows up, it is on V 10.2010.12-9.I also have problem with the USB charging, I can charge the phone with the PC via a standard USB cable, but the same cable doesn't not charge with external battery pack, and I got a special cable that charge both with PC and external battery pack, but it does not do data transfer, so I have to carry 2 cables and spare battery. I also find that, the phone is unable to charge a completely ran down battery, it must be charge on the dock, I think that's why the set comes with a dock charge, other non Nokia USB charging phone also comes with the dock charge (in my region), so I think this is a common problem of USB charging, and the reason may be the charging is s/w controlled, if the battery is dry the phone won't work so no
