Having problem with z2 with it not charging or.power on? I have the contract with Virgin media and then said it's not under warranty. The phone was great when it worked but I don't no how to fix it it's had a new charging port fitted and been on charge for a long time bit still comes.up when you try power on with the flat battery picture.

I dont know why? I bought this phone with lot of passion(since it is sony made) 10 months back and i really regret of buying this phone now.It doesn't has any warranty as it is bought from Singapore and i'm in India now. Please help me out with a solution apart from suggesting me to go to Sony Ericsson Service Center(They only discuss commercials despite of criticality of the part which is failed and no customer service is to be expected). The phone support is one more farse that the technician will be a very normal person and he only suggest to take the phone to nearest sony ericsson service center without even listening to your actual problem.

I was talked into by a sales rep into buying another Xperia after experiencing the exact same problem with the older version as im now experiencing with my current model. I rely heavily on my phone and this is a massive inconvenience to me. The problem running out of power/charger not charging/ not being able to switch back on. Then the problem resolves itself only to happen again... And again... And again. This is not good enough. Funnily enough both models ive had problems with just after the warranty runs out. Leaving me with using my phone insurance not only making my phone insurance more expensive the following year but having to pay an excess charge.

We've plugged it into the computer; iTunes doesn't recognize it. We were able to push a factory reset, but when we tried to restore it from an old backup, iTunes won't recognize it.

I find that when the phone is on charge I can never power it on, it simply reboot repeatedly after the logo shows up, it is on V 10.2010.12-9.I also have problem with the USB charging, I can charge the phone with the PC via a standard USB cable, but the same cable doesn't not charge with external battery pack, and I got a special cable that charge both with PC and external battery pack, but it does not do data transfer, so I have to carry 2 cables and spare battery. I also find that, the phone is unable to charge a completely ran down battery, it must be charge on the dock, I think that's why the set comes with a dock charge, other non Nokia USB charging phone also comes with the dock charge (in my region), so I think this is a common problem of USB charging, and the reason may be the charging is s/w controlled, if the battery is dry the phone won't work so no

I have a weird issue that keeps popping up. Occasionally, I pull the power from my phone and the battery indicator says that it is still charging. If I shut the phone down, it will boot right back up because it thinks the power is connected. It doesn't do this all the time but when it does, my battery goes into a serious drain. I also have noticed that once in awhile, when the phone comes out of nighttime power saving, 3G don't come back and the battery drains big time.

It would constantly connect and then disconnect straight away until you got it into a very still position where the cable or the phone would not be touched. Now the phone has stopped charging altogether. I have checked the charging port to see if there is any lint but there is none in there. The strange thing is that if you turn the phone off, and then plug the cable into the phone it recognize it and then will turn on.I have got a genius bar appointment in the next couple of days but will have to go without a phone until then, and it is also out of warranty so I assume apple will try to make me pay for it if it needs fixing. View 6 Replies View RelatedIt has been acting up the past few days, randomly turning itself off, and I am trying to get it to turn back on. Randomly it will turn back on when I push the power button, but is unresponsive when doing all the reset combos. Today it turned itself off while sitting on the table at home. I have not been able to get it back on and its been about 6 hours now, and its been plugged in to the wall charger the whole time. If I take it to apple, can they pull the serial number off for warranty purposes?

My Nokia N97 use to be in perfect condition and would charge every time i plug it in. However, lately whenever I plug it in, it charges and then it stops and says "Unplug charger from power supply to save energy" and then it says "Not Charging" and then it charges again and then it doesn't. The light near the charging slot always turn on and off multiple times. I have to play around with the charger and plug it in and out multiple times to get it to work. When it finally starts to charge, it takes extremely long to charge. It used to charge quick but now it take hours. Also, if it is charging, and I accidently touch the phone or the cord, it will immediately stop charging. Then I have to play around with the cord again so it will charge.

It's a real bummer when I have to leave the house and I realise my phone died overnight. Is this normal? Is there any way to save energy when I leave the phone in that mode at night? I'm very sure I have turned off all Wifi and Wlan and Bluetooth settings. Also, I believe my wall charger is faulty. There is no white light when plugged in. (Another bummer, when I returned home and realise my phone has not been charging the whole time I was out.) However, when I use the usb on my computer it works just fine.

Do these affect mobile data, Wifi, or both? Do they affect anything else?
I've left these off because I don't know how they work, and am getting fairly short battery life (10 to 15 hours, depending on use).

i plugged my phone up last night before i went to bed and it was working fine. when i got up it was turned off, when i try to turn it on the led on the power button blinks red. i tried plugging it up and it showed sony ericcson on the screen then nothing. its not registering the charger, and ive tried removing the battery and checking it out and it the battery dosent appear damaged and my sd card is fine.
