Nokia :: N97 - Not Charging - Stops And Says Unplug Charger From Power Supply To Save Energy
Jul 9, 2010
My Nokia N97 use to be in perfect condition and would charge every time i plug it in. However, lately whenever I plug it in, it charges and then it stops and says "Unplug charger from power supply to save energy" and then it says "Not Charging" and then it charges again and then it doesn't. The light near the charging slot always turn on and off multiple times. I have to play around with the charger and plug it in and out multiple times to get it to work. When it finally starts to charge, it takes extremely long to charge. It used to charge quick but now it take hours. Also, if it is charging, and I accidently touch the phone or the cord, it will immediately stop charging. Then I have to play around with the cord again so it will charge.
Does anyone have the part number or output rating of the charger that ships with the Razr Maxx? I have a box of Motorola chargers but I think I grabbed one for a headset as my phone seems to be charging slowly.
At the time of writing this im a awaiting yet another problem with power to this unit. I was talked into by a sales rep into buying another Xperia after experiencing the exact same problem with the older version as im now experiencing with my current model. I rely heavily on my phone and this is a massive inconvenience to me. The problem running out of power/charger not charging/ not being able to switch back on. Then the problem resolves itself only to happen again... And again... And again. This is not good enough. Funnily enough both models ive had problems with just after the warranty runs out. Leaving me with using my phone insurance not only making my phone insurance more expensive the following year but having to pay an excess charge.
I just updated last week to Gingerbread but this was happening before that. I plug my phone into my factory charger and when I go to unplug it it says it is still charging. Dosent go away until I reboot the phone, any ideas? When it is fully charged the green led even stays lit. Dosent do it all the time just enough to be annoying. I really dont want to trade my phone for a reconditioned one since it is only three weeks old.
My N6 (LM48YI,XT1100 64GB ,5.1.1)which I bought from another guy seems to shutdown when I unplug it from the charger and then it won't boot properly. It would get stuck at the Optimising apps window and shutdown again. The only way to get it back to life is to switch on after plugging the charger. After this process, the phone also forgets all the stored Wifi passwords. The shutdown happens at other random ocassions as well.It seems the guy sold a dud piece to me..Tough luck..
everytime i unplug my phone from my charger its comes up with a message saying built in media storage not working, please repair or format so when i click thaat it says unable to repair or fix!!! ive tried wiping bb but still no joy.
1st question - Is there any problem if i unplug iPhone 4 charger first, instead of the cable connected to the mobile phone, after the charge is completed?
2nd question - Is it advisable to do a hard reset once a week, in order to mantain phone/battery at their high capacity?
My wife and I both have Atrix 4G phones. I frequently get a Popup window when I unplug the charger reminding me to unplug the charger. This happens both with my 12V to USB adapter plugged into my motorcycle and with the home charger from Motorola. Also, I lose the settings for my home wireless and have to re-enter everything. I've gotten notifications that I'm using up my data plan because I lose my wireless and emails then start downloading over the cell network without my knowing it. I'm about ready to get rid of the so called smart phone and go back to my basic cell phone.
When ever I plug my iPhone 5c into my Macbook Air to transfer Music, it says "Unplug the device using too much power to re-enable USB devices." What should I do?? This is with a charging laptop!
You unplug your phone after charging it but the indicator still shows as though the phone is still connected to the charger. The only way to get this back to normal again is to power cycle the phone. Plugging it back in and unplugging it again will not make it go away once this has happened.
As of this morning, my phone no longer charges using the supplied Samsung charger. Additionally, when I UNPLUG the cable from my computer or the wall, I receive a notification saying "The dock is connected" which is obviously odd as I have actually just disconnected the cabling. Along with this message, the docking audible is heard when plugging in the charger on either the computer or the wall.
When I plug into my computer, the phone is no longer recognized as a USB device either which makes it difficult to back anything up at this point.
I do not have the lighting bolt or any blinking LED's while the charging cable is plugged in.
So far I have done the following to troubleshoot - tried different cable on both the computer and wall - power cycled the phone multiple times - checked for system updates. I am up to date. - cleaned / blown out the charging port - cleared system cache
I have not yet done a factory reset for obvious (last resort) reasons.
I'm wondering what is the charging power output going through the CA-134 cable from the carkit? If the CA-146 adapter was attached, is there a difference then in the output?
i have a problem when trying to charge my N900. It happens since day one and after upgrade to new one. It also happens after a reflash to older version and with no software installed. It happens when using the wall charger and using the USB cable connected to my laptop.
I plug my N900 and it starts charging, after a while it will stop. Sometimes it happens a few minutes after i plug it, sometimes it will happen after more time. When i unplug and replug it will start charging again and repeat the same process again: it will eventually say not charging. It happens when the phone is turned on and off. I have left my N900 plugged for hours and the light that indicates is charging just stops. Even when left 24 hours battery-eye applicaiton shows that the maximum it will get is around 40%
Do you think is a battery issue and is a matter of changing it or should i get a new device?
Today I received 2 Nokia wireless charger as part of the free charger with the new Lumia 920 on AT&T. When I tried to charge my phone it worked just fine, but when I tried to charge my wife phone it didn't charge, her was in battery save mode so I tried charging it with the usb cable until it got out of battery save mode and tried again with no luck.
I tried in both wireless charger devices both phones and had the same result, my phone charged and my wife's didn't. The light in the charger device does light up with no blinking hinting that the phone is charging but there's no notification on the phone side (no sound, battery icon don't change, battery keeps dropping).
The other difference between the two phones is that her's is high gloss red and mine is matte black.
I hold a Nokia Lumia 800 phone. When I try to charge my phone using the electric/wall charger, the phone indicates that it is getting charged, however it isn't! The Diagnostics application confirms this. The phone does charge fine through my laptop.
I took my phone to the Nokia Care Centre and they replaced the charger. However, the problem still persists and Nokia Care now is completely clueless on what to do next.
I have Nokia E72 and I have problem with USB chargin. Now the phone is with low battery and the Power Saving mode is automatic activated. I plug USB on phone and PC (Win7), charging started, and after few seconds, charging stops. I try to restart phone, PC and plung and unplug UBS, but the problem still exist. This situation I have in the car too
Can I use my AC-3 charger from nokia 5000 to charge my N95-1? I lost my charger for N95. What are the input volt and watts for N95 for compatible charger.
Energy profiler page says that it is supported from S60 3rd FP 1 onwards. store.ovi.com says that energy profiler is not supported in E72. Why can't it be installed in E72 ?
I find that when the phone is on charge I can never power it on, it simply reboot repeatedly after the logo shows up, it is on V 10.2010.12-9.I also have problem with the USB charging, I can charge the phone with the PC via a standard USB cable, but the same cable doesn't not charge with external battery pack, and I got a special cable that charge both with PC and external battery pack, but it does not do data transfer, so I have to carry 2 cables and spare battery. I also find that, the phone is unable to charge a completely ran down battery, it must be charge on the dock, I think that's why the set comes with a dock charge, other non Nokia USB charging phone also comes with the dock charge (in my region), so I think this is a common problem of USB charging, and the reason may be the charging is s/w controlled, if the battery is dry the phone won't work so no
I just bought a N97 mini and it seems that when it is in power saver mode, the battery went from 4 bars to 0? I was shocked that I couldn't even turn it on in the morning. It's a real bummer when I have to leave the house and I realise my phone died overnight. Is this normal? Is there any way to save energy when I leave the phone in that mode at night? I'm very sure I have turned off all Wifi and Wlan and Bluetooth settings. Also, I believe my wall charger is faulty. There is no white light when plugged in. (Another bummer, when I returned home and realise my phone has not been charging the whole time I was out.) However, when I use the usb on my computer it works just fine.
Can't power off iPhone when on charger, after a couple of seconds after powering off the Apple Logo will appear and the phone will power on again. Only happened after upgrading to iOS 5.1
What happened: (Moto X Pure, just purchased new from Moto)
Came with Android 5, and I have upgraded it to Android 6 with the update straight from Moto. Been on Android 6 since the first day of use, about a week ago. Then today ...
1. Left phone on (Moto OEM) charger overnight, was at about 23% to begin with. 2. 7am Alarm went off (one I had set). 3. I silenced the alarm. 4. Unplugged from charger. 5. Phone would not work at all. No display. Could not get it to power on or the screen to come on (if it was powered on). Depressed the power button. Held it in, etc and so on. Nothing worked. 6. Plugged it back into the OEM charger and it came on and booted up. 7. After starting up it showed a 99% charge level. 8. Working fine now.
I have my iphone 4s plugged in my charger. I attempted to charge it using different wires and to no avail. My battery continues to drain. What should I do?
