I want the digital clock screen saver to appear all the time when I am not using the phone, but what currently happens is that few seconds after I stop using the keypad, the whole screen dims and the screensaver (having the digital clock) disappears as well.

As the happy owner of Nokia 808Pureview i have the questions about the notification lights and low power screensaver. Does the 820 or 920 have this feature? I'm very use to use the always on display clock to check time and missed calls/messages. I found this very useful during night etc. It's not necessary to always unlock the phone... I know WP7.5 missed this feature but what about Lumia WP8? If this has still not been implemented, it's very step backwards for Nokia. I thing lot of customers are used to this function...
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia N97 use to be in perfect condition and would charge every time i plug it in. However, lately whenever I plug it in, it charges and then it stops and says "Unplug charger from power supply to save energy" and then it says "Not Charging" and then it charges again and then it doesn't. The light near the charging slot always turn on and off multiple times. I have to play around with the charger and plug it in and out multiple times to get it to work. When it finally starts to charge, it takes extremely long to charge. It used to charge quick but now it take hours. Also, if it is charging, and I accidently touch the phone or the cord, it will immediately stop charging. Then I have to play around with the cord again so it will charge.

Use double tap to wake up phone (enable in settings, touch menu) and install Touch and Lock and pin to your start screen to tap and auto lock. I pin mine on the right hand side right near where the power button is located. Easy to tap quickly. Touch and Lock | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States). There are other touch lock apps but some have a pause or splash screen before locking. Touch and Lock is instantaneous.

Over the last couple of days I've noticed that most of my notifications are no longer appearing. I still get the from gmail and 1 game, but nothing from my other email accounts (I use Cloud Magic for my email, 5 accounts), Instagram, Twitter, Google Now, etc.
I've done some searching but haven't come up with a definitive answer anywhere, however I did see someone mention a problem with using notifications after having used ultra power save mode, and then turning it off. I used UPS mode for the first time on Sunday so it may well be the cause.
I've restarted the phone a couple of times, and checked the notifications settings in Cloud Magic and Instagram and they're as they should be.
I woke up this morning and my Sch-A930 keeps "leaving svc area", "searching svc area", "entering svc area" and doing the process all over again . It might stay iin svc all of 2 secs before it leaves again . I did notice every once in a while the phone would display that it is in "power save mode." I had someone try to call my phone and it went to voicemail so I know it is sill on . I cannot send/receive calls/text messages .

Yesterday my power button died, but I was able to turn on my N5 somehow. after, I've enabled the double tap to sleep on the statusbar and on the lockscreen and volume buttons now wake the device, but I wasn't able to remap the power button and if I accidentaly press it, I don't know what will happen.
So, there's any method to completely disable the power button? I've tried with gravity box but there isn't any option to do this. How to disable the power button from the .kl files in system/usr/keylaout? And then, can I use the volume buttons to turn on the device when it's off or I have to keep it on forever?
I sometime talk in bed or am busy cooking and doing chore and dont want to wear my earbuds every time I want to lock the screen on my phone. Is there any setting I can use or find that allows me to disable this annoying feature that hangs up my phone when I am in a normal non speaker and non headset call?

I have had my 9900 for just over a year after upgrade from a 9000. I loved the phone until two weeks ago I did a upgrade to Blackberry Appworld. Once the upgrade completed it asked for a restart and then the phone became a brick. It would not restart and the red light just flashes. After contacting support and following suggestions to try and make the phone connect to the desktop software without success I took the phone back to Rogers who sent it away to the repair shop. The result... not able to be repaired. Somehow this is now the customers problem because something that no one can identify went wrong with the software upgrade process. No support from Blackberry just what Rogers has to offer which is that I can do an early upgrade to another phone for more money.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry 8900. To start, I woke up one morning and had a white screen and an error 502. I wasn't able to fix the issue immediately since I had class. I'm usually more attentive to my phone but I'm in law school. Anyway, the next day I went to try to fix my phone, it would not power on at all. I just got the red light flash. When plugging it in to my computer, I got the sound it was connected but the AppLoader, JML_Cmder and DTM would not recognize the device. Frustrated, I put the phone aside again to concentrate on school.
So, I've decided to give this another shot but now it's gotten worse. The phone does nothing unless it's plugged up and it's still just that annoying red light blinking. I keep the phone plugged and remove the battery...still that blinking and the pattern is long pause, blink, short pause, blink, blink, blink repeat. Again, there is no activity when the phone is unplugged. Same thing when I plug it into my computer. The battery does not make a difference and doing a battery pull does not work.
My computer does not recognize my device at all (no sounds, no connection, etc). I have tried to let it charge from a wall charger and it did nothing but that blink pattern for 12 hours. Again, I have tried the AppLoader through c:program filescommon files esearch in motionapp loader, I have tried using the Command Prompt, I have tried JML_Cmder, I have tried the battery pull, I have re-installed both the DTM and the Blackberry USB and Modem drivers. Anything else I could possibly try? Also, does anyone know what that blink pattern means?
My curve randomly turned itself off the other day. I went to power it back on with no luck. I decided to charge it and was still unable to turn it on. There is a flashing red light, 1 flash followed by 3 flashes.

We just got this phone one month ago and this is our second phone with the same problem. Verizon has no clue and just replaces the phone. I can't believe that RIM would sell a device with this many hardware issues. There must be a way to force a reset of the power management system?
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy blackberry torch 9810, switched off after having a low battery, i put it to charge, but the red light keeps (blink....blink blink blink) but it won't charge nor power up, i have tried connecting it to my pc the pc won't even detect it and the read light keeps blinking.Idid my research at crackberry.com and saw a software update would solve the issue, but i cannot update it using the desktop software because the pc won't recognize it. I tried removing the battery then connecting it to the pc but still its not recognized what could be wrong.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had some problems with my X10 lately. Admittedly this was after a full-on day in the Scottish Highlands where the phone was exposed to cold and rain. Getting back into a warm car the phone started going mental, the led lights flashing like a Christmas party disco and the vibrate constantly on. After a session on the radiator I got some life out of the phone. It basically works except for the following:
- the top left power button to standby/turn the phone off does nothing (the phone switches itself on when you put the battery in)
- same for the bottom middle button to standby, although it will bring the main desktop up.
- the red led light is on permanently (this is so annoying)
I have re-flashed Gingerbread and had the phone on charge for hour upon hour to no avail. I have installed a free widget that puts the phone on standby but I can't power it down without taking the batter out.
getting the power button working and telling me if there's a way (hardware or software) to get the red LED light to go out (this means that any messages/missed calls reders the green light inoperative)
I bought my bb9900 2 weeks ago. It is too new. But when I woke up in the morning I saw my bb didn't work. There is no power as well as there is no light on led. I removed the battery and wait one day and also I plugged in to my laptop whatever I did, it didn't work. I couldn't understand I've just bought this phone. I've seen my bb 9900 let me down.
