I sometime talk in bed or am busy cooking and doing chore and dont want to wear my earbuds every time I want to lock the screen on my phone. Is there any setting I can use or find that allows me to disable this annoying feature that hangs up my phone when I am in a normal non speaker and non headset call?

View 7 Replies View RelatedYesterday my power button died, but I was able to turn on my N5 somehow. after, I've enabled the double tap to sleep on the statusbar and on the lockscreen and volume buttons now wake the device, but I wasn't able to remap the power button and if I accidentaly press it, I don't know what will happen.
So, there's any method to completely disable the power button? I've tried with gravity box but there isn't any option to do this. How to disable the power button from the .kl files in system/usr/keylaout? And then, can I use the volume buttons to turn on the device when it's off or I have to keep it on forever?
I always press it by accident, I'd love to pop a the power menu (long press) instead of turning off the screen on a "standard" press.my Nexus 5 is right now unrooted, so I rather have a solution that doesn't depend on that, but if there is no other way, I'll do that..

Hitting the home or power button wouldn't turn it back on. I'd have to hold down the home and power buttons to do a hard reboot to get it back up.
I returned my phone yesterday to get replaced because I was also having the No SIM Card Installed error. My new iPhone 4 is having the same black screen issue occasionally, though.

This just started today, when you hit the power button on the top of my iPhone 4S every once in a while the flash will turn on and won't turn off untill you go into the camera application. It doesn't turn on everytime you hit the power button though.

My iPhone 4 has turned off, which seems to be a common problem. Everything I can find says to hold the power/lock screen button + the home button together, along with a combination of plugging it into the computer/ wall, etc. Unfortunately my power button stopped working ages ago (another common problem it seems), so that method of restarting my phone is out.
