IPhone 5c :: Unplug The Device Using Too Much Power To Re-enable USB Devices
Sep 4, 2014
When ever I plug my iPhone 5c into my Macbook Air to transfer Music, it says "Unplug the device using too much power to re-enable USB devices." What should I do?? This is with a charging laptop!
My Nokia N97 use to be in perfect condition and would charge every time i plug it in. However, lately whenever I plug it in, it charges and then it stops and says "Unplug charger from power supply to save energy" and then it says "Not Charging" and then it charges again and then it doesn't. The light near the charging slot always turn on and off multiple times. I have to play around with the charger and plug it in and out multiple times to get it to work. When it finally starts to charge, it takes extremely long to charge. It used to charge quick but now it take hours. Also, if it is charging, and I accidently touch the phone or the cord, it will immediately stop charging. Then I have to play around with the cord again so it will charge.
I use auto power on/off on my BB Tour 9630. When it powers on it does not enable bluetooth automatically. I then have to manually enable bluetooth with Manage Connections. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Then I launch options scroll to Bluetooth and then enable Bluetooth there. Again sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I have to repeat, repeat this step or power off manually then power on. Thinking I should leave it powered on 24/7 and just leave bluetooth on 24/7.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 updated to Android Version 5.0 (KitKat).
Currently when I press the Power Button, the screen goes black. But it does not lock the screen.
I have the screen lock set to 30 seconds. But even so, there are lots of times when I have put the phone in my pocket and it accidentally it the home button before the 30 seconds is up and random apps get launched as my phone bounces around in my pocket.
So I would like to be able to press the power button and immediately have the screen lock. I was able to do this on my original Galaxy Nexus. But I cannot figure out how to do this on my Samsung.
I did some google searches and I found many many posts that said "go into settings, select lock screen, scroll to the very bottom and click the option to enable lock on power button."
The problem is, when I go into the Lock Screen settings and scroll down to the very bottom, I don't see any such option. So, how to enable the Power Button to immediately lock my phone?
Noticed on devices using 8.1.1 version software...When double click home screen if another family member is using safari on another device a screen pops up showing the safari symbol and below it says "sent from and the name of the iPhone". If you try to swipe it up like other screens that pop up when you double tap home screen it does not go away. If you click on it it takes you to website being viewed by the user at that moment. As soon as that user closes out of safari the screen goes away.
When I first got my Z5 the first thing I did was enable the Stamina mode in order to prolong the battery power. But since then I have been very disappointed with the heat emmission, lag in the games and the battery life. When ever I used to play games likes Angry Birds Transformers the phone used to get very hot, lag and there was a major drain on the battery.
Last week I decided to disable Stamina mode to to check if it did improve my experiance with gaming. And I can tell you that the phone doesn't get hot (slightly warm), the game doesn't lag and the battery doesn't drain as fast before. Also last night I charged my phone to 100% and disconnected it at approx 10:00pm. Today morning at 6:30am it had dropped to just 97% without the Stamina mode enabled.
I noticed that when I enable the Stamina mode the battery drains randomly. One more observation is that sometimes the battery percentage gets stuck at 100% for a very long time with the Stamina mode on and then it starts dropping very quickly.
"Please enter Password to power off." I was wondering if anyone had a possible reason why this isn't in the iOS devices features? If some one steals your device, all they have to do is power it down disabling the wipe, find, and alert features in iCloud. All apple has to do is add an option that allows the owner to require a password to power off the device. This way we would have the remainder of the battery life to locate, wipe, or send messages to the device. I encourage anyone that reads this post request this to Apple as a feature.
Is it possible for me to transfer data from my old device which is saved on my laptop?I no longer have the old device because it was stolen but I do have a back up saved.I have tried to use the switch devices option but I keep getting a message that says,
When I use other digital devices I usually have to safely reject the devices. But when I plug in my iPhone 4, I don't see an option on the computer for me to safely reject. Is it ok to just pull the phone out?
According to this knowledge Base technote, you can enable Device Analyzer by pressing ALT and typing BBDA in the Options screen.

On My Verizon Torch 9850 running 7.1.0.163, can't find it, but without an ALT key, not sure how to activate it.I do see it in Application Management though, just can't find a way to enable it.
I installed Yahoo messenger on new BB and it worked ok. Then I synch old BB to save contacts etc. and now Y IM gives following when I try to log in " "Service not enabled for this handheld" . I've deleted it and reinstalled it. No change.
Right now we use Blackberry's at work, but when I get the iPhone 4 I would rather just use that to get my work email if I can. I know my Exchange email address (it's just user@exchange.company.com versus my normal @company.com email address) but I have a couple questions:Does Exchange allow IT depts. to lock down Exchange to approved decives/device IDs?We have to change passwords every month or so, but I never have to do anything on my Blackberry to keep getting email pushed - how does Echange handle that? Would I have to just update my password every time it changes?Just looking for experience from those who have added their work email from and Exchange server to their personal iPhone.
I have it enabled But have been unable to use it. Does the other person have to have a galaxy s5 in order to work? on the Samsung website is says that it works with IPhone 6, but it didn't when I tried to use it.
Wondering how many of you plug and unplug your headphones each time you use it? I leave mine plugged in because I don't want to wear out the jack. What do you do?
I have jsut bought a Blackberry Curve 8520 and have been having problems with the browser. Every time i click on it to open, it comes up with a message saying "Your device does not currently have any Browser Service Book Entries. Please contact your service provider to enable the browser on your device".I have spoken to them twice but they dont seem to know anything as the 2 solutions they have given me do not work!I think my problem lies when i go into Options-Advanced Options-Browser, i have literally nothing in it, whereas my girlfriend has 3 different options.
1st question - Is there any problem if i unplug iPhone 4 charger first, instead of the cable connected to the mobile phone, after the charge is completed?
2nd question - Is it advisable to do a hard reset once a week, in order to mantain phone/battery at their high capacity?
I have a nexus 5 running on android 6.0.1.I was trying to root it when I found that the 'Enable oem unlock' option present in the developer options is missing on my device. The nexus root toolkitv2.1.0 also failed to detect my device.
I cannot get my phone out of power mode. It is turned off, but auto brightness goes lowest possible still. No lights on buttons, no haptic feedback, no sounds (hate them, but turn on to see).
It's not hardware as the haptic buttons light and vibrate on boot... Just nothing after boot up. Haven't done anything but let my phone hit 10% battery before charging.
