Feb 7, 2012I changed my application permissions for one of my apps. Now when the phone starts the app gives me a popup informing me that it is attempting to open a file connection which is not allowed. Everytime I click OK however, it just prompts again. This means I cannot change the permissions or even remove the app, as the popup is always on top.

It shows "Sony" on main screen and then "xperia" and again then back to sony and so on..My phone has ICS, updated long back when it was made available by Sony. I tried doing things but that did not rectify issues like:
1) Removing battery and restating
2) removing usb and sim
3) removing battery and holding power button for a while and restarting

Oct 9, 2015I have not used my phone in any wrong way. I did not install a custom rom or anything. no root. randomly in my every day normal usage of my phone, it started to restart. and the the problem got worse and worse. for a few minutes, i will be able to use my phone but then my phone will restart and be stuck restarting. most of the times I can't even go into recovery mode. It restarts again when i get to that. I already resetted my phone, and I wiped the partition.
I have a samsung galaxy s6 SM-G920W8 telus/koodo 32 gb. i got the battery replaced by samsung but that didnt work. i noticed that after a few hours, my phone stops restarting when it reaches to 10% battery life.

Jun 29, 2010I finnaly figured out how to downgrade my 3gs newbootrom from 4.0 to 3.1.3 using an shsh saved on my computer (not sauriks server) I then used spirit JB. I went ahead and installed Appsync for 3.1.x (or whatever it was called) then I seperatley installed installous which attempted to overwrite my install of appsync causing an error saying theres a conflict and when the phone tried to respring it was history... Has this happened to anyone? Should I just not install appsync seperatley and let it install with installous?

Nov 11, 2011One morning my torch 9860 didnt start and ended up in an infinite restart loop, the LED turns red for 6 seconds then is goes out, and then again red LED then goes out. Screen is always black. I've tried with JL_cmder and BBSAK but it wont recognize the device. I tried to catch it with AppLoader, and I can do the UNKNOWN PIN thing, but then when the JVM is starting to initialize again it will go into an infinite loop again.

After connecting it to iTunes, a message popped up in iTunes saying I had to enter a password on the iPhone in order to access it, which I couldn't do as the Phone was showing the 'Connect to iTunes' message. After looking through several Apple help articles I put the iPhone into recovery mode in order to try to restore it. However, every time the progress bar on the iPhone screen hangs just before finishing, and iTunes says there was an error ( Error 1002 ). Jul 29, 2015my Lumia 1020 struggles to connect to (any) pc. When I connect the phone via usb, the pc will make its sound for recognizing a new device, and after 1 second the sound for "losing" the device comes.If I keep the device connected, an "endless" loop starts between those two sounds. I think it's probably because of a loose connection of the usb or something. But I really hope it's not. I tried to have the cable stay still and don't move it, but I can't do anything against those sounds.
When I load the device with usb there isn't such problem (for example with the loading battery sound).I can't save any pictures from the device with this problem.
Motorola Xoom :: Endless Bootup Loop After 3.1 Update?
Aug 15, 2011Originally I had a US Xoom. After the 3.1 update, so many months ago, it started rebooting almost as soon as it had booted. The reboot trigger seemed to be when it connected with the Wifi. A factory reset would cure it for a few hours but otherwise turning off the wifi was the only permanent solution.Motorola fixed it by giving me a UK Xoom - and 3.0. And it was good until the much anticipated, and delayed, 3.1 update, and it started again. After a bit i realised it was a combination of an old and slightly unreliable Wifi base-station and, I assume, a change in the Android Wifi s/w that made it less tolerant of imperfections. Now I reboot the base-station.

Apr 24, 2010Background: bought a new phone and received it Friday, activated it no problem. Tried using the BDM to "switch devices" and it was LOADS of problems installed the newest one. I have removed the battery and media card and EVERYTHING, left it out for like 10 minutes, reinserted the media card and battery and it just keeps doing this. If I try to connect it to the computer, the computer won't recognize it and the BDM says, "Blackberry Desktop Manager cannot communicate with the connected blackberry device. If the device is rebooting or has a dead battery, click Retry to attempt to reconnect once the device reboots. Otherwise you might need to update the blackberrry device software to correct the problem"How in the world am i supposed to update the software on the device if i can't stop it from rebooting?

Oct 14, 2011I had bad connection on my micro USB and sent the phone for repair. SE seems to have exchanged the connector and has also updated the software. Seems to to newer than whats available online. (that problem seems to be solved)As usual I did manage to get double sets of contacts both in my phone and in Outlook. I did then remove all duplicates and forced my oulook contacts to the phone. Now it is stuck in syncronization and first complained about too many contacts removed and now seem to complain about too many calendar items removed. It keeps doing that and reboots every 10-15 minutes.

I have tried reinstalling the OS using the AppLoader, tried simply hitting "Update" from my Desktop Manager, I have essentially tried everything I have found online about a "nuked or bricked BB". I have been working on this for days.The problem is that, because of the reboot loop, my phone will not stay connected to my computer long enough for anything to actually happen. I get the error message "Unable to maintain JVC connection" or something along the lines of "Your device is not connected, please reconnect, enter your password and continue".I have had this phone for a year and love it. I made an investment in a BB product and I expect it to last more than one year! If I need to take it in for service, so I simply return to the store where it was purchased?

Dec 15, 2011I was doing a regular update of the BB apps yesterday late evening, as per the notifications received by the App World. However, the phone shutdown suddenly, and it tried to reboot. It has since failed to boot up, and keeps on shutting down, while trying to reboot. The progress bar always reaches approx. 95%+, and then it starts again. I have already done Battery pull etc., and connected it with a charger - but so far no luck with it. Connected it to the laptop as well - but it does not recognize it either. I have a backup from a couple of weeks ago, so I am wondering, how I can reset the device and restore to an earlier backup? This is a month old Torch 9800 device.

Dec 7, 2010I bought this Torch almost 2 years ago (first model)... Since 2010, there is no critical problem occurred till now, but today my Torch can't be use of these problem. Let me explain the details.
1. I installed Munched (screen capture program), after installed i launced this apps and my bb automatically restarted.
2. Then, after restarted, the bb can be used as usuall and i didnt launch screen muncher apps after (Case 1).
3. Last night, my bb runs properly and there is no problem at all...
4. This Morning, i think to remove the apps (muncher) because i didnt use anymore. Then, i deleted this application using normal procedures. And, as we known, bb must be restart after uninstalling any apps, then i restart.
5. During restarting (loading bar) is stopped at 3/4 bar load.... So, i remove the battery to restart again...
6. After restart, my bb seems ok till it loads menus and other. But it was only for 15 seconds. After 15 seconds, a icon (loading star * like sunflower) appeared.
7. My bb stuck and i can''t use any button / touch screen function. My screen display also won't shut off their light.
8. I've tried to restart almost 6 time (remove battery), but it still same.I can use the menu for 15secs, then it becomes unresponsive.
Google Nexus 5 :: Lollipop Update (OTA) - Got Stuck In Boot Loop And Now Stuck At Hard Reset?
Nov 22, 2014Like others, I tried the software update, and then my phone constantly got stuck at the four little circles at start up. I followed some instructions I found on AndroidPit:
1. From a powered off state, press the Power button to start your Nexus 5. When you see the Google logo press and hold the Volume Down key and release when the device vibrates.
2. Use the volume keys to highlight Recovery Menu and press the Power button to select. This will bring you to a screen with an Android on its back.
3. Hold the Volume Up key for 5 secs then release and a new menu will appear.
4. First off, you can use the volume keys to select Wipe Cache Partition. This will cause your phone to restart. once this is done, re-do the previous steps to get back to the same screen (the one that Wipe Cache Partition was on).
5. Highlight Wipe Data/Factory Reset and select using the Power key. Scroll down to Yes, Delete All Data and press the Power button again to select.
6. Your Nexus 5 will now wipe your data and reformat.
7. On the next screen hit the Power button to select Reboot System Now.
It has been 40 minutes now and it's stuck on 'Formatting /data'. Is this normal?
I've only had this phone for a couple of months and it was functioning perfectly until now I haven't rooted it or anything.

Dec 11, 2011I am using a BlackBerry Bold 9780, with OS 6 bundle 2647. I am facing a problem that after sometime it gets restart. Sometimes it restarts and then back to normal but mostly it stucks in a restart loop (Red LED turns on as indication that phone is powering On. But it doesn't turn on and the process continues and LED keeps blinking). I tried to update OS version by using Desktop Manager Software, but still facing the same problem. And now i got no more updates for OS.

Mar 20, 2012i probably shouldnt say this but,okay i just recently asked a question.about my factory unlocked iphone 3gs asking how to activate it. so i got too excited of aving it and couldnt wait for my tmobile sim card to come one more day. so i "hactivated" it (i know this voids all warrenty) and i jailbroke it just so i could use it as an ipod.it worked and i was syched.
BUTTT.... it asked me if i wanted to update the software to 5.1 and i was like " oh yes id love to" and it started downloading it and it was inrecovery mode the whole time .when the download finished. i hit restore so i can put the software on the phone but the itunes had an error and the phone went glitchy and it does a rebooting loop. it shows the apple symbol with the slash through it for about 5 seconds and shuts off for a little bit (about another 5 seconds) and it starts up then loops the process. ive managed to turn the phone off but if i start it up it loops...Also it does not show up in my itunes because it is turning off to fast to detect.

I reset the phone and did a restore backup from when she last had an iPhone in 2012. She has a valid Apple ID and I can log into the account on a PC. However, when I try and make a purchase, free or paid for, from the App Store, I am asked for the Apple ID password and when entered, it doesnt come back with a 'incorrect password' but simply refuses.Â
So I then went to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID>View Apple ID, I am asked for the password and when entered, it simple asks again and am stuck in this loop.Â
HTC One M9 :: Stuck In Recovery Loop After Failed 5.1 Update?
Jul 26, 2015I have an HTC One M9 (AT&T) which is stock and unrooted. Apparently a failed 5.1 update while traveling abroad has caused my phone to get stuck in recovery mode. Rebooting the phone or powering down simply brings the phone back to recovery. I am hoping there might be a way to update a stock ROM or force an OTA update without losing any of the internal data on the phone. Alternatively I was hoping I could pull the photos from the phone before wiping or returning the phone.
My only options on this screen are to: reboot system now; apply update from ADB; wipe data/factory reset; wipe cache partition; reboot to bootloader; power down; view recovery logs; apply from phone storage; apply from sd card
I have tried all options multiple times, but I have not tried a factory reset because all of my pictures from my trip are still on the internal memory of the phone.
Unfortunately I never enabled USB debugging before the device failure, so I believe my options with ADB and “pulling” the files are limited. Nonetheless, my phone won’t communicate effectively with my PC or laptop while in recovery mode, my PC and laptop only recognize that an Android device is connected while in bootloader or download mode.
I have been told by HTC that my only option is to download and update the ROM that is available on their website to the phone, but this will erase all data on my phone.
Is there any other possible option for me that can kick my phone out of recovery mode, or extract the photos from the internal storage? Is there a different ROM or OTA update I can use that will retain my data once installed?
Xperia Z3 :: Phone Stuck In Startup Loop
Jul 3, 2010When I went to bed last night my Z3 was working fine. When I woke up, any app I opened closed with the "___________ has stopped" message, so I decided to reset my phone. Now it's stuck in a loop where it will turn on until it gets to the loading page with the blue wave background before turning off and starting this again and again until I hit the little reset square by the microsd with a paperclip.
I've tried connecting it to PC companion and the Mac version (I have a mac at home but can access PCs.) Once it gets to the part where I have to hold the power button and down key while plugging it into the computer, it does nothing and I can't move forward.
I can't seem to put it into flash mode, and I tried installing the EMMA flasher program but it wouldn't recognize that my phone was connected. After more googling seems that maybe unfortunately my phone needs to be in flash mode for this to work.
I haven't modded my phone, haven't installed many apps, and I actually know nothing about phone dealing with/ programming/ booting/ computer language words so some things I am reading online definitely go over my head. I am willing to try though!
My phone will still charge though!
