Samsung :: Restart Loop Sch U450 - Reformat The Phone?

Apr 29, 2010

I have a samsung Intensity (sch-u450) which recently entered a never-ending reboot loop. I've tried taking out the battery for a while, then starting it again to no avail. I'm not sure what could have caused this since, as far as I know, nothing changed from the last time the phone restarted. Is there any way I can basically reformat the phone (or fix the restart loop)?

Samsung :: SCH-U450 Mobile Web On Page Plus?

I have been using the voice and messaging features of my Verizon Wireless Prepaid Samsung Intensity (Samsung SCH-U450) on the PagePlus network for quite some time. I have been unable to get the mobile web feature working though. When I try to access the mobile web, it takes me to the page wanting me to pay 1.99 to verizon for one day's usage. This of course doesn't work.

Samsung :: Intensity (u450) Mp3 Player Cant Access ALL Music

Feb 3, 2010

I formatted, then put a couple of songs on it to test it out. The phone recognized and played them, so then I added the rest of my music to the memory card. There's about 14 gb on the card now, so it's almost full. The phone also accurately tells me that there's about 14gb of the memory card that's occupied. BUT The music player now only puts a small portion of all those songs into its playlist, I would say it only plays about 2 gb out of the total 14 gb. I also cannot choose which songs get put on the playlist. I am on Telus, NOT Verizon, by the way. Why can't I access ALL my music in the music player?
Is there a maximum to the number of songs in the mp3 playlist that I wasn't aware of? Did I buy the wrong memory card?

Samsung :: Intensity U450 - Stuck In A Reboot Cycle

Feb 15, 2010

Have tried holding various keys in an attempt to access a BIOS screen or some such thing to no avail (why aren't cell phones more like computers?). As for how my phone got to this state...

-I wanted to add custom ring tones to my recently purchased Samsung Intensity but found that texting them to myself via led to a significant decrease in quality and the costs would quickly add up as I attempted to fix the issue by editing the sound files in Audacity and texting newer versions to my phone

-To get around using, I found a method of putting the files directly on the phone by installing the phones drivers to my computer using Samsung PC Studio 3 and moving them directly to the phone using Qualcomm Product Support Tools. The method is copy+pasted below for reference

-After a while I got the ring tone to how I wanted it and went to delete the experimentation files on the phone. I had done this in the past through the phone's interface without issue (though an attempted file rename had caused a quick freeze which was solved by removing and replacing the battery), but this time it froze when attempting to delete the final file

-The phone would not respond to any keypad presses including the power button, so I chose to restart the phone by removing and putting back in the battery

-The phone will no longer pass the "Verizon Wireless" screen and reboots after hanging on that screen for ~7 seconds

Pasted below is the complete method I used to transfer the files for reference. Other smarter methods may exist, but given the issue I had with, my lack of a mircoSD card, and my desire to avoid media messaging charges I elected to go with this method. Credit goes to ch from the Mobiledia forums for figuring this out and typing this up. It works beautifully aside from the issue I have had. I suggest that anyone who chooses to use it remove sound files from the phone only through QPST and not through the phone's interface.

Software required:
1.Samsung PC Studio
2. QPST (Or other software to allow you to browse the phone's file system)

1. Install Samsung PC Studio (Will only be used to install drivers for the intensity)
2. Change USB Port Map to "Modem" on your phone
a. Go to Settings & Tools > Phone Info > and then press the # button.
b. Enter 000000 for the lock code.
c. Select option 2 "Port Map"
d. Select option 4 "USB"
e. Select option 4 "Modem"
3. Plug phone into usb port.
4. Go to device manager and install drivers for the unidentified devices
a. The drivers will be located in C:Program Files SamsungSamsung PC Studio 3
5. Start QPST EFS Explorer
6. Browse to brewmodmr on the phone
7. Delete MrInfo.db
8. Drag and drop your mp3 ringtone files into this directory
9. Restart the phone.
10. A new MrInfo.db file will be created. Copy it to your desktop.
11. Edit the file with notepad. You should see an entry for each sound file in the directory, followed by |0|0 or something like that. For the first file change the second 0 to a 2. For the next file change that same zero to a 3, and so on. I guess the second zero just needs to be a 2, 3, or 4.
12. Copy MrInfo.db back to the phone in same directory.
13. Reboot the phone and your mp3 will show up under the "My Ringtones" menu.

IPhone :: Updated The Software After Jailbreaking 3GS - Is Now In Restart Loop?

Mar 20, 2012

i probably shouldnt say this but, okay i just recently asked a question.about my factory unlocked iphone 3gs asking how to activate it. so i got too excited of aving it and couldnt wait for my tmobile sim card to come one more day. so i "hactivated" it (i know this voids all warrenty) and i jailbroke it just so i could use it as an worked and i was syched.

BUTTT.... it asked me if i wanted to update the software to 5.1 and i was like " oh yes id love to" and it started downloading it and it was inrecovery mode the whole time .when the download finished. i hit restore so i can put the software on the phone but the itunes had an error and the phone went glitchy and it does a rebooting loop. it shows the apple symbol with the slash through it for about 5 seconds and shuts off for a little bit (about another 5 seconds) and it starts up then loops the process. ive managed to turn the phone off but if i start it up it loops...Also it does not show up in my itunes because it is turning off to fast to detect.

Samsung Galaxy S II :: Continuous Loop Of Various Force Close Messages?

Jun 10, 2012

My SII appears to have some kind of virus - I am getting a continuous loop of Force Close messages. Kies will not connect to the phone, it is running to the most up to date version. My phone is currently on Android Version 2.3.3 and on Gingerbread.because it cannot connect to Kies, I cannot run a back up. All my photos and videos are on the phone. I have a 3 month old baby and am desperate to save these. As I cannot back up I am reluctant to perform a factory reset as I am conscious I will lose all the data stored. It randomly turns itself on and off. The error messages come thick and fast - I don't even need to 'force Close' they pop up on their own and a constant stream of them will occur. Examples of the error messages are as follows:

Sorry! Twlauncher (process has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close.

Sorry! The application Email (process has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close.

Samsung :: Genio Slide - Restart

Apr 24, 2010

Our daughter has a new Samsung Genio Slide as of two days ago (she pooled her birthday money towards it). All was going well till we tried to connect one of the widgets (google, facebook etc) to the internet. As soon as it attempts this (and asks for internet connection permission) the phone restarts itself constantly. I've managed to reset the settings (you have to be really quick to beat the restarting) and the phone is back to itself (I had to phone support for this advice). However, on every attempt to connect to the internet the phone will re enter this constant reboot/restart mode. Is this something I can fix via software or is it a case of replacing it at the store I purchased it from?

IPhone :: Respring Loop - Cant Break The Loop

Mar 13, 2010

Im in an endless respring loop and cannot break out of it. i have tried everything i know... details below

(3gs on 3.1.2, new baseband, with 3.1.3 backed up on cydia...and im running windows XP)

here is what happend:

--tried to set file permissions for the calender app bc it was not letting me add new apointments after SSHing the file from another phone

--used ifile to 1st: private/var/mobile/Library/Calendar (i went one step further) as far as i could go before an edit, then clicked the blue arrow and while the permissions was root, i noticed that it set to read and write only. so i changed this to RWE.

--went back to calendar tried to add a new apt -- no go, didnt work

--back to ifile 2nd: private/var/mobile/Library/Calendar (one step less than the first time) clicked the blue arrow and saw that permissions was mobile. so i changed that to root.

--closed ifile opened SBsettings, and clicked respring. i thought maybe this would cause the changes to take effect. i hit respring three times before it respnded... then it resprung to the sad iphone

--from the sad iphone it has been caught in the respring loop. it goes from the sad iphone to my normal lock screen (i dont run any lockscreen apps).

here is what i have done so far:

--i replaced the Calendar.sqlitedb file with the old (presumably good) file from the old phone via SSH. this seemed to help a little in that now i was able to slide the slider but still, nothing, just back to the loop.

--i attempted to restore from backup in itunes. after about 10 minutes, nothing was happening; the phone continued to loop and itunes seemed to make no progress. so i disconnected the wire.

--i held down the home and sleep buttons until the phone powered down. holding down just the sleep/power button only caused the screen to dim, but the loop continued.

--once the power was off, i turned it back on and ran blackra1n from recovery mode. phone returned to loop.

--powered down again, same method and once in recovery mode, connected to itunes. itunes said it had to restore before it could do anything. i disconnected...

--ran blackra1n again, and once more while back in the loop, and still nothing. but now when i slide, i am seeing the error message about mobile substrate, however, it does not fully appear in that the phone starts to respring before anything can happen. i have been sliding the slider and each time the screen stops at a different level, meaning that i can see the icon animation but the respring stops it at various points. while writing this, i got a text message. it displayed, and then disappeared on the next respring.

Should i do a full hard reset, should i delete stuff via SSH, DFU, i dont know, but it seems like the phone is still intact enough not to need a full restore (which would = re-jailed...).

Galaxy S5 :: Phone Reboot Loop

Nov 5, 2015

Connected my S5 to charger and left the room, started hearing the Cricket Wireless theme a few minutes later, then again, then again. That was when I discovered I was caught in a reboot loop.

Phone model - Samsung-SM-G900AZ
Firmware version - G900AZTUU3BOG3
Carrier - Cricket Wireless

I've gone through most of the posts here regarding this and have at this point:
replace battery with spare (no change)
Recovery Mode - clear cache (no change)
Recovery mode - reset to factory, restore from Google backups (no change)
Recovery Mode - reset to factory, setup as new device (no change)
Disable Wifi - (no change)
Odin + reflash (no change)
Disable wifi (no change)
Disable wifi and LTE data - (no change)

I'm not really sure what to do at this point and am starting to wonder if this is a hardware issue, not software. This phone has never been rooted, and in fact is just under a month old (my previous, never had an issue with it S5 died a horrible death at 25mph from the hood of my car) so didn't even have all of the apps I normally use installed.

Xperia Z3 :: Phone Stuck In Startup Loop

Jul 3, 2010

When I went to bed last night my Z3 was working fine. When I woke up, any app I opened closed with the "___________ has stopped" message, so I decided to reset my phone. Now it's stuck in a loop where it will turn on until it gets to the loading page with the blue wave background before turning off and starting this again and again until I hit the little reset square by the microsd with a paperclip.

I've tried connecting it to PC companion and the Mac version (I have a mac at home but can access PCs.) Once it gets to the part where I have to hold the power button and down key while plugging it into the computer, it does nothing and I can't move forward.

I can't seem to put it into flash mode, and I tried installing the EMMA flasher program but it wouldn't recognize that my phone was connected. After more googling seems that maybe unfortunately my phone needs to be in flash mode for this to work.

I haven't modded my phone, haven't installed many apps, and I actually know nothing about phone dealing with/ programming/ booting/ computer language words so some things I am reading online definitely go over my head. I am willing to try though!

My phone will still charge though!
