View 3 RepliesI can't turn it off without it initiating a boot loop all on its own. Every time I press the power button and select "Power Off", it turns off and then about 5 seconds later the Sony screen comes back on, stays on for a few seconds, turns back off and repeats. I can break the bootloop by holding the power button for about 10 seconds and turning the device back on. The consequence is that every time I turn off my phone, it discharges totally!
My phone is NOT rooted and it hasn't been modified in any way.
Compilation number 23.0.1.A.0.167
Kernel 3.4.0-perf-gd4d661a BuildUser@BuildHost #1
Baseband 8974-AAAAANPZQ-00027-12
The issue appeared after a few months of use, in November. I think it didn't coincide with any software update. It's not a brand new phone so I wouldn't like to return it as I already have lots of information in there.
My phone(Z2) used to hang while using and switches off many times a day. It went on for few days and now my phone wont turn on. I've tried switching it on and also tried the hard reset but no use. While connected to the charger it shows a red light blinking.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I went to bed last night my Z3 was working fine. When I woke up, any app I opened closed with the "___________ has stopped" message, so I decided to reset my phone. Now it's stuck in a loop where it will turn on until it gets to the loading page with the blue wave background before turning off and starting this again and again until I hit the little reset square by the microsd with a paperclip.
I've tried connecting it to PC companion and the Mac version (I have a mac at home but can access PCs.) Once it gets to the part where I have to hold the power button and down key while plugging it into the computer, it does nothing and I can't move forward.
I can't seem to put it into flash mode, and I tried installing the EMMA flasher program but it wouldn't recognize that my phone was connected. After more googling seems that maybe unfortunately my phone needs to be in flash mode for this to work.
I haven't modded my phone, haven't installed many apps, and I actually know nothing about phone dealing with/ programming/ booting/ computer language words so some things I am reading online definitely go over my head. I am willing to try though!
My phone will still charge though!
I sold my z2 to a friend, and when he has tried to insert his new sim has forced the red reset/ off button down too hard, and its stuck. So now when the phone has any charge it is stuck in the cycle of reseting itself, vibrating 3 times and the sony logo comes up, and it just keeps doing this. Are there any tips on unsticking the reset button.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt has been now 4 months i have this Z2, unitl now everything was working fine, last day the battery drained completely, 0% and it got off. after some time i connected the phone to wall charger using original charger and cable , the screen boots and sony xperia flash and then it get off and then again keeps boot loop,
The RED led comes on and then off , and screen flash SE and keeps looping... i tried making power off holding UP + power nothing works.
i tried connecting to PCC but it also doesnt detect and keep searching phone. i tried repairing using PCC but it doesnt detect phone. i tried holding DOWN volume during power on but green led doesnt come ...
When I turn on the cellular data option the personal hotspot function bar appears with the wording "Personal Hotspot" and the wheel appears and goes around and around forever. If I turn the iPhone off and back on (with cellular data turned on) then the personal hotspot bar appears with the wording "Set up Personal Hotspot" and not wheel spinning. When the wheel is spinning I assume that processing is going on and using battery, not good! By the way I do not use the personal hotspot function.

Phone turned itself off. Tryed plugging it into a wall charger and laptop usb cable to charge, but each time the red time stay constant for about a minute and then it changes to flashing four times quickly then a short pause and then flashing four times again (and it just repeats this over and over again.)
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've recently got a brandnew blackberry bold 9700, which I've got one day now and it just won't turn on anymore. I rebooted it because I removed an app, and the only thing it does now is blinking the red led light 4 times in a row. I tried almost everything (apploader, jl_cmder, leave batt out for one hour).

View 1 Replies View RelatedIm in an endless respring loop and cannot break out of it. i have tried everything i know... details below
(3gs on 3.1.2, new baseband, with 3.1.3 backed up on cydia...and im running windows XP)
here is what happend:
--tried to set file permissions for the calender app bc it was not letting me add new apointments after SSHing the file from another phone
--used ifile to 1st: private/var/mobile/Library/Calendar (i went one step further) as far as i could go before an edit, then clicked the blue arrow and while the permissions was root, i noticed that it set to read and write only. so i changed this to RWE.
--went back to calendar tried to add a new apt -- no go, didnt work
--back to ifile 2nd: private/var/mobile/Library/Calendar (one step less than the first time) clicked the blue arrow and saw that permissions was mobile. so i changed that to root.
--closed ifile opened SBsettings, and clicked respring. i thought maybe this would cause the changes to take effect. i hit respring three times before it respnded... then it resprung to the sad iphone
--from the sad iphone it has been caught in the respring loop. it goes from the sad iphone to my normal lock screen (i dont run any lockscreen apps).
here is what i have done so far:
--i replaced the Calendar.sqlitedb file with the old (presumably good) file from the old phone via SSH. this seemed to help a little in that now i was able to slide the slider but still, nothing, just back to the loop.
--i attempted to restore from backup in itunes. after about 10 minutes, nothing was happening; the phone continued to loop and itunes seemed to make no progress. so i disconnected the wire.
--i held down the home and sleep buttons until the phone powered down. holding down just the sleep/power button only caused the screen to dim, but the loop continued.
--once the power was off, i turned it back on and ran blackra1n from recovery mode. phone returned to loop.
--powered down again, same method and once in recovery mode, connected to itunes. itunes said it had to restore before it could do anything. i disconnected...
--ran blackra1n again, and once more while back in the loop, and still nothing. but now when i slide, i am seeing the error message about mobile substrate, however, it does not fully appear in that the phone starts to respring before anything can happen. i have been sliding the slider and each time the screen stops at a different level, meaning that i can see the icon animation but the respring stops it at various points. while writing this, i got a text message. it displayed, and then disappeared on the next respring.
Should i do a full hard reset, should i delete stuff via SSH, DFU, i dont know, but it seems like the phone is still intact enough not to need a full restore (which would = re-jailed...).

View 1 Replies View RelatedConnected my S5 to charger and left the room, started hearing the Cricket Wireless theme a few minutes later, then again, then again. That was when I discovered I was caught in a reboot loop.
Phone model - Samsung-SM-G900AZ
Firmware version - G900AZTUU3BOG3
Carrier - Cricket Wireless
I've gone through most of the posts here regarding this and have at this point:
replace battery with spare (no change)
Recovery Mode - clear cache (no change)
Recovery mode - reset to factory, restore from Google backups (no change)
Recovery Mode - reset to factory, setup as new device (no change)
Disable Wifi - (no change)
Odin + reflash (no change)
Disable wifi (no change)
Disable wifi and LTE data - (no change)
I'm not really sure what to do at this point and am starting to wonder if this is a hardware issue, not software. This phone has never been rooted, and in fact is just under a month old (my previous, never had an issue with it S5 died a horrible death at 25mph from the hood of my car) so didn't even have all of the apps I normally use installed.
Phone stuck in boot loop. Have downloaded LGNPST & DLL. LGNPST won't detect phone in upgrade mode. When pressing 5 & power buttons with phone connected to USB port phone goes into verizon download message on screen. LGNPST shows emergency mode with phone book circle highlighted in red. Click on dll tab & choose the ddl. When selecting the PB tab, can't save file in Brew_script as help topic shows. Brew_ script will open, shows brew, then mif & mod. Can't save dll. Any help? No sd card in phone.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo my phone got stuck in the infamous bootloop. I am getting a new one shipped to me. I just don't know of my old one is backed up. I don't even think my contacts are. It has an SD card, but I don't think I ever set up a back up for it. Is there any way to back it up now? Sadly it won't stay on long enough to get passed the AT&T screen.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a samsung Intensity (sch-u450) which recently entered a never-ending reboot loop. I've tried taking out the battery for a while, then starting it again to no avail. I'm not sure what could have caused this since, as far as I know, nothing changed from the last time the phone restarted. Is there any way I can basically reformat the phone (or fix the restart loop)?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy new Xperia Z5 is on a constant reboot loop if it's plugged in to a charger or my laptop. I've already tried everything. I've tried pushing the "off" button underneath the sim card slot (I tried both ways including the 120 second method). I've tried plugging it into my laptop to use Sony Bridge to repair. Nothing works.
How do I perform a hard reset on the phone manually? I've tried to hold the power and VOL+ and this doens't work, it just keeps reboot looping. I see a red light and sometimes a blue light in the top left corner of the phone..
This just happened out of nowhere. The phone is 2 months new and I paid top dollar for it. I'm pissed off and have no phone.
Xperia x8 is stuck in reboot loop i know this is because of full phone memory but is there a way to backup everything from phone memory (notes,bookmarks,apps....) i want to backup apps from my phone because most apps that i have installed are deleted from google play.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy phone today seems to be stuck in a force close loop. It pops up down the bottom of the phone in a black box 'forcing close of player' and 'closed?', every few seconds, exiting whatever app I am currently using. This only happens immediately after I turn the screen on, for about 20 seconds and then stops until I turn the screen off and then on again. I have not rooted the phone or done anything out of the ordinary. I did download a couple of apps from the play store and have since deleted them, but I still have the problem. I have read to clear the cache partition to fix this issue, but I believe it is in recovery mode which the Z3 does not have. I would prefer not to do a hard reset. Is this my only option?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone automatically stuck into restart loop. I was randomly using my phone. And since then it is not working. It shows "Sony" on main screen and then "xperia" and again then back to sony and so on..My phone has ICS, updated long back when it was made available by Sony. I tried doing things but that did not rectify issues like:
1) Removing battery and restating
2) removing usb and sim
3) removing battery and holding power button for a while and restarting
Couple weeks ago I updated my phone to a windows 10 preview (I forgot the build number) and it installed fine. As expected there were some bugs, so I read online on how to fix them after restarting my phone and doing a soft reset, it didn't work. I then had to do a factory reset- or a hard reset. It then threw my phone into a perpetual state of spinning cogs and a never-ending battle that is so close to lost I can feel the defeat seeping in like a plague. I've connected it to my computer to do the NSRT but my phone only sees it as a power source. I've taken the battery out, brought it to the Microsoft store, and I've even tried to hack into it via computer. However the same problem shows every time:
View 1 Replies View RelatedI updated to windows 10 mobile and proceeded to do a hard reset, well my icon died during the reset and is now in an infinite loop where it charges enough to turn on then tries to do the reset before dying and starting the cycle over again.
Is there any way to stop my icon from turning on while charging? Or any other way to fix this? I'm really not trying to have to switch back to my 822.
This morning while at work i decided to try another ROM while I had some time. I have been running VRtoxin with no issues as of this morning. I downloaded the latest pure nexus and proceeded to advance wipe everything but storage. I flashed the rom and dynamic gapps. The phone booted up and seemed to be fine until i tried to open a few of the apps i use on a regular basis. When i went to open facebook, hangouts, google plus and some others i would get a notification that unfortunately the app was stopped. I tried rebooting and reinstalling pure nexus and kept getting the same messages. I finally got sick of it and decided to flash my back up i made this morning of VRtoxin. That's when the boot loops started. I have since then mounted system, advance wiped all but storage and tried to flash both VR and pure nexus. Neither will get past boot loop. I have waited 15+ minutes for each.
