Feb 6, 2015I have the unlocked 1520 from Latin America. It came with Cyan out of the box and I installed preview for developers and updated. Trouble is, it doesn't say that I have Denim, yet I have the live app folders feature.

Android tablets and iPhones having no issues connecting. Have restarted the router, verified MAC Address. Deleted MAC from access control. Disabled all security (made it an open network) and it still will not connect.

Jun 19, 2015Lumia 1520 used to be flawless connecting to the paired Bluetooth in my car. Nothing has changed in the car. No updates or upgrades.
After the Denim update the phone will sometimes connect, and then after 1 or 2 successful connections, it will fail to connect although it still shows as paired. A reboot or re-pairing usually solves the issue and the cycle repeats.

The capacitive keys at the bottom are much brighter than before denim. Now it maybe something in my eyes, or I just never noticed how bright they were...but I'm sure that before denim, the lights weren't that noticeable.

Mar 9, 2015I have had Denim on my 1520 for a while now. (UK CV). Yesterday, I had extensive usage of the phone and it slipped into battery saver mode at 20% - an abnormal occurrence for me.
Anyway, when Battery Saver enabled, the backlight behind the Back-Start-Search keys went out. And I was using the phone in the dark, walking home.
Upon regaining power, the lights came back again.
I tweeted Lumia on the mysterious occurrence which definitely did not happen in Cyan. Their response today seemed to indicate a fixable software thing - soft reset, see what happens. I have yet to try that.
An easy way to see: Enable "Now until next charge" in Battery Saver. Doing this on mine immediately extinguishes the backlight on the capacitive keys.

Mar 17, 2015Having issue with their screen after updating to Denim on the L1520. I keep getting phantom swipes and key presses. Cortana comes up often and I have to turn off the screen and then turn it back on for the screen to actually work. I have tried hard resetting it...both from the Lumia Software Recovery Tool and from the phone itself. It still does the same thing.

As expected there were some bugs, so I read online on how to fix them after restarting my phone and doing a soft reset, it didn't work. I then had to do a factory reset- or a hard reset. It then threw my phone into a perpetual state of spinning cogs and a never-ending battle that is so close to lost I can feel the defeat seeping in like a plague. I've connected it to my computer to do the NSRT but my phone only sees it as a power source. Jul 11, 2015I updated to windows 10 mobile and proceeded to do a hard reset, well my icon died during the reset and is now in an infinite loop where it charges enough to turn on then tries to do the reset before dying and starting the cycle over again.
Is there any way to stop my icon from turning on while charging? Or any other way to fix this? I'm really not trying to have to switch back to my 822.

Mar 20, 2012i probably shouldnt say this but,okay i just recently asked a question.about my factory unlocked iphone 3gs asking how to activate it. so i got too excited of aving it and couldnt wait for my tmobile sim card to come one more day. so i "hactivated" it (i know this voids all warrenty) and i jailbroke it just so i could use it as an ipod.it worked and i was syched.
BUTTT.... it asked me if i wanted to update the software to 5.1 and i was like " oh yes id love to" and it started downloading it and it was inrecovery mode the whole time .when the download finished. i hit restore so i can put the software on the phone but the itunes had an error and the phone went glitchy and it does a rebooting loop. it shows the apple symbol with the slash through it for about 5 seconds and shuts off for a little bit (about another 5 seconds) and it starts up then loops the process. ive managed to turn the phone off but if i start it up it loops...Also it does not show up in my itunes because it is turning off to fast to detect.

I did not install a custom rom or anything. no root. randomly in my every day normal usage of my phone, it started to restart. and the the problem got worse and worse. for a few minutes, i will be able to use my phone but then my phone will restart and be stuck restarting. most of the times I can't even go into recovery mode. It restarts again when i get to that. I already resetted my phone, and I wiped the partition.
I have a samsung galaxy s6 SM-G920W8 telus/koodo 32 gb. i got the battery replaced by samsung but that didnt work. i noticed that after a few hours, my phone stops restarting when it reaches to 10% battery life.
Lumia 1020 :: Phone Powers Off - Won't Restart
Aug 27, 2013I've had my Lumia 1020 since the 12th but I didn't get to open it and activate until the 18th since I was out of town. So far the only major problem that I have had is the phone randomly powering down. When it does this, 30% of the time it attempts to restart and it fails. (AT&T logo and then nothing) The rest of the time the phone does not respond to me pressing the power button alone, and I have to do both volume keys with the power button or plug in the charging cable at the same time to get any kind of activity.
I had this sort of issue with my 920 before, but not quite as frequently as I have had with the 1020. (Considering my time of ownership) Is this an OS-specific issue or does this seem like hardware? I would prefer to be better informed on this and know what the best course of action is before I go nuclear by contacting AT&T. I'm sure I would get a "new" Lumia 1020 but knowing my luck I would get a certified like-new device that has a cosmetic flaw or another issue not present in my current phone.
