Lumia 1520 :: How To Install Denim Using Nokia Recovery Tool
Mar 9, 2015like my title states how would I install denim using the recovery tool? I tried looking on here for a step by step and I'm surprised there is no manual or instructions on how to do this.. is it difficult? is it as easy as pressing a button and let it do it's thing? I would need the HK variant of Denim.

Oct 24, 2014I bought L1320 today and I have updated it to the last Preview version. Now I have a big annoying problem, I can't install apps on my SD card neither on phone memory whatever I try. I have already done a reset and also formatted the SD card. Still nothing good. I've been restarting my phone all over and over but the app is still there installing but not actually installing and when my screen times out there's no other way to start the phone than restarting it. I'm so much pissed off right now!

But i can not able to install more apps on it. i Installed Sim city & Angry Birds GO games (Both are having around 1.5GB Size). .. after that it is started giving messages saying that to make some free space. even i am having a SD CARD of 16gb... But still it is saying the same thing.... like 925 device said.

Jul 26, 2015I am on the latest build of Windows 10 mobile. Had issues so tried a hard reset and it Failed phone just boots up. I cant even revert back to windows phone 8.1 it shows an error when using WPRT. To be noted Storage Manager Crashes as well as the messages app. New software wont install or write in the internal Memory. Whatsapp Messages Disappear after reboot. Uninstall whatsapp and its back after reboot. I'm stuck with what I have. New Data wont Write on internal memory.

The app said I needed denim and maybe 20 min later I got a notification saying welcome to denim (no loading screen or spinning gears etc). I try Lumia camera again and it says I still need denim. Jun 19, 2015Lumia 1520 used to be flawless connecting to the paired Bluetooth in my car. Nothing has changed in the car. No updates or upgrades.
After the Denim update the phone will sometimes connect, and then after 1 or 2 successful connections, it will fail to connect although it still shows as paired. A reboot or re-pairing usually solves the issue and the cycle repeats.

The capacitive keys at the bottom are much brighter than before denim. Mar 9, 2015I have had Denim on my 1520 for a while now. (UK CV). Yesterday, I had extensive usage of the phone and it slipped into battery saver mode at 20% - an abnormal occurrence for me.
Anyway, when Battery Saver enabled, the backlight behind the Back-Start-Search keys went out. And I was using the phone in the dark, walking home.
Upon regaining power, the lights came back again.
I tweeted Lumia on the mysterious occurrence which definitely did not happen in Cyan. Their response today seemed to indicate a fixable software thing - soft reset, see what happens. I have yet to try that.
An easy way to see: Enable "Now until next charge" in Battery Saver. Doing this on mine immediately extinguishes the backlight on the capacitive keys.

Cortana comes up often and I have to turn off the screen and then turn it back on for the screen to actually work. I have tried hard resetting it...both from the Lumia Software Recovery Tool and from the phone itself. It still does the same thing.

Some webpages loads quite slow on the Denim update. I thought the update supposed to speed up mobile webpages? Mobile websites which uses a fancy navigation like joystiq.com loads quite slow and incomplete. Also, some pictures load slower than what I expected on desktop mode, and I'm using wi-fi for connection. Is it normal?

Feb 11, 2015When I upgraded to DP 8.1, I developed a couple of problems that I had hoped Denim would resolve. For example, my camera button stopped working. Also, I lost the function to hold my finger on the screen to move the cursor around in text. So I can't edit messages very easily. I was hoping these were issues with the DP version and Denim would resolve the problems. But I loaded the upgrade this morning, and none of these issues are resolved. I still can't use the camera button. And I still get hold my finger on the screen to get a cursor.
