Lumia Icon :: Sky / OneDrive Video Auto-upload
Feb 25, 2014I have my Skydrive / Onedrive storage settings set up (in Settings/Photos + Camera/Auto upload/Skydrive - turned on, and best quality (needs wifi) set for both photos and videos.
For some reason, videos are not uploading, even when i'm connected to WIFI. Is there a max file size for uploading? If I go into Pocket File Manager, I can copy/paste a video file into my Skydrive folder, but this doesn't seem to be the best way to do this. The files should auto-upload based on the settings Ive selected.
Also - If I delete my low res photos from within pocket file manager (not DNG, the 16mp jpg files), will they delete from my photos app?
HTC Desire S :: Failed Image Upload To Facebook?
Jun 14, 2011I tried to upload an image to Facebook using one of the 2 FB apps on my Desire S. When that failed i tried using the other app.
The 2nd attempt worked but I now have a permanent notification telling me that the 1st upload progress is at 0% & I can't get rid of it.

Mar 1, 2015It started with the windows phone app not responding to my phone. But when I looked into windows explorer, my Icon was there but it was empty. I have no access to the pictures on my phone. Neither can I copy any files into it. So Denim has done something to my phone's USB function. I switched computers already and its the same problem. I have hard reset my Icon already twice with the same result.

Mar 15, 2015I purchased a used icon yesterday and downloaded Lumia camera. The app said I needed denim and maybe 20 min later I got a notification saying welcome to denim (no loading screen or spinning gears etc). I try Lumia camera again and it says I still need denim. Extras and info says I have denim and resets haven't solved the problem (simple power down and the volume power button combo).

Feb 17, 2015I'm not sure if this is related more to Denim update or enabling "Hey Cortana" but now, when I press the power on button I see the top indicators show up immediately, then after about 10 seconds the rest of the main screen displays.. Subsequently, pressing power off/on will resume immediately, but after a few minutes the same behavior occurs again.

Feb 17, 2015I have a JBL Micro external speaker (small, round and colorful). On 8.0 it connected beautifully on BT with my Icon; with Denim, I can't seem to pair it. I have a Jabra BT earpiece that has worked before and after the upgrade to Denim, so I know BT is working.
I have no expertise in these matters other than knowing that I have a connection or I do not.

but in the end I got this error "The operation couldn't be completed. (facebookErrDomain error 10000).
I am disappointed because I pay for Iphoto and I have to use this buggy software.

Feb 11, 2015When I upgraded to DP 8.1, I developed a couple of problems that I had hoped Denim would resolve. For example, my camera button stopped working. Also, I lost the function to hold my finger on the screen to move the cursor around in text. So I can't edit messages very easily. I was hoping these were issues with the DP version and Denim would resolve the problems. But I loaded the upgrade this morning, and none of these issues are resolved. I still can't use the camera button. And I still get hold my finger on the screen to get a cursor.

When i try to do it from my phone it gives me an error message of "error- cannot upload image" Then when I try to do from Facebook and choose browse and click on the video, it never uploads and I don't get an error message.

Every time I upload an iPhone4 high quality video to Facebook, through their app, the video appears in Facebook very grainy and pixelated. If I upload the video from my MAC to the Facebook website, the video maintains its high level of quality. Do you happen to know if the compression in the Facebook app is causing this issue? If yes, is there a way to fix it?

Jul 26, 2015So I know with 1020, if I simply share photos on to facebook, it will use the less quality 5MP photos, so I have to download the photos manually on my laptop via usb cord with the phone or from onedrive.. But would I have to download the videos from my phone or onedrive first before uploading on to facebook too, for the highest quality *with the smallest size possible? My videos are easily half a GB!

On the 822 it would be almost instantaneous, maybe 1 minute max after getting it on my desktop browser. Now i will usually get them hours upwards of 12, later.

I have a car that accepts RCA inputs. I had an Android phone about 4 years ago that you could connect directly and it would work. The iPhone needed a special cord to do it (of course).
I'm about to buy a microUSB to RCA cord, but then it dawned on me that there might not even be a video out with this phone. I realize that it supports Miracast with 8.1 but I'm looking for a physical solution.
