Lumia 950 XL :: Phone Heating Up And Now On Endless Reboot?
Dec 22, 2015I have a 950xl, yesterday I felt it get incredibly hot in my pocket. pulled it out, the phone seemed to have switched off. I just could not turn it back on again, but it remained hot. Pulled battery out and put it back in. Still could not turn it on. Attached it to charger, battery icon showed as empty, then phone went into endless reboot cycle. Left it on charge overnight and in the morning was still in its endless reboot cycle, with battery still showing as dead. Could not hard reset either.

Apr 24, 2010Background: bought a new phone and received it Friday, activated it no problem. Tried using the BDM to "switch devices" and it was LOADS of problems installed the newest one. THOUGHT I finally was able to transfer all the info to my new phone, but here's where the real problem starts Okay, when it starts to reboot, that progress bar fills ALLLL the way up, sits there for like 2 minutes, and then restarts AGAIN with the little red light, the progress bar fills ALLLL the way up, sits there for like 2 minutes, and then restarts YET AGAIN and it's been doing this for the last 10 hours! I have removed the battery and media card and EVERYTHING, left it out for like 10 minutes, reinserted the media card and battery and it just keeps doing this. If I try to connect it to the computer, the computer won't recognize it and the BDM says, "Blackberry Desktop Manager cannot communicate with the connected blackberry device. If the device is rebooting or has a dead battery, click Retry to attempt to reconnect once the device reboots. Otherwise you might need to update the blackberrry device software to correct the problem"How in the world am i supposed to update the software on the device if i can't stop it from rebooting?

Sep 28, 2011My E7 on Symbian Anna, has since the update and in last 10 days started to suddenly restart - sometimes as many as 6 times during a short span of time. This happens on not on all days, and sometimes even when it is on standby.Today I happened to note that F Secure screen was coming after sudden restar and then back to restart again. Now it is stable and I saw that F secure was showing update to anti theft as of 28/9/11.So I am suspecting that may be F Secure causes the restart while updating.

Motorola Atrix 4G :: Music Player Causing Phone To Reboot
Jun 8, 2011I have had my Atrix for about a month. The phone is fast and responsive which is really great after having a dog slow phone before this one. But I have a love/hate relationship so far. One big issue is that my music player will not keep playing, it will randomly stop playing and I half to restart it. Also sometimes the music player will cause the phone to reboot. This problom used to be really bad but I found a bug causing some of the Problems.
1. Removed Battery and waited a few minutes to reinstall battery. No change still reboots after a few minutes of using the Music Player
2. Tried downloading another music player PlayerPro to use instead of the default one. No Change still Reboots
3. Next I tried doing a Factory Data Reset. Now the default music player played for about an hour for the first time.
4. Redownloaded most of the Apps I had (At least the ones I could remember). Music Player still playing.
5. Started modifing a couple of the OS Settings>etc... Player still playing
6. Until I got to the setting Settings>Applications>Development>Check Stay Awake while Charging. Now the phone rebooted two times in less than 15 minutes while playing Music. Went back and unchecked the stay awake setting and the Music Player is playing again.So can this bug with this Stay Awake while Charging option please be fixed. I hate for the screen to cut off while I am reading a book. I can plug it in and leave the screen on as long as I want.
7. Now the music player is playing but still after 1+ hours of play time Randomly the music player will stop and/or Reboot the phone.

Now when the phone starts the app gives me a popup informing me that it is attempting to open a file connection which is not allowed. Everytime I click OK however, it just prompts again. This means I cannot change the permissions or even remove the app, as the popup is always on top.

Jan 21, 2016Just curious if I need to do a swap with my MS Store. I have the latest firmware and OS version .36 and still get about 1 - 3 random reboots a week.
Had one yesterday while using the camera. A few days earlier had another one while my phone was just being charged. I see on average about 1 - 3 a week right now. I admit these updates did fix a lot of initial instability as I was performing my own resets multiple times a day for apps that wouldn't launch, apps freezing or acting very buggy. I don't experience most of these now.
My XL was also part of the original day one batch. But I've seen many people claiming to never have a single issue ever with theirs and I guess I've found that hard to believe.
BB Apps :: BB App World Updates Not Updating?

When I open App World and click on the apps and select upgrade I get "<app name> is not available for download from app world" The three apps are Monopoly, WeatherBug Elite, and Quickpull Free which are all supported by app world.

Jan 11, 2012I have a blackberry curve 9360 and I go though t-mobile. I have been trying to download the latest update to BBM and it won't download. I click on the "upgrade" button, it says please wait, then nothing. It does the same for the app world update. I've spoken to my carrier and they say it's something on rim's side that they can't fix. Everything else on the phone is working just fine.

Jul 15, 2012I just updated to os on my bbcurve9800. I updated because my keyboard, function keys and side buttons quit working. I could still use the touch screen and scroll with the mouse button, but the mouse would not funtion when pressed.
After I updated, the touch screen will automatically launch what ever app is highlighted without me ever touching the screen. When an application is highlighted, in about 2 seconds a pop up will appear with options. The launch option is always highlighted. With in a second or two the applications opens. Whatever is highlighted when that application opens is then launched.

Jun 29, 2010I finnaly figured out how to downgrade my 3gs newbootrom from 4.0 to 3.1.3 using an shsh saved on my computer (not sauriks server) I then used spirit JB. I went ahead and installed Appsync for 3.1.x (or whatever it was called) then I seperatley installed installous which attempted to overwrite my install of appsync causing an error saying theres a conflict and when the phone tried to respring it was history... Has this happened to anyone? Should I just not install appsync seperatley and let it install with installous?
