RIM :: Lost SMS Icon On Reboot After Updating From App World
Jul 30, 2011
I woke up this morning and my phone had 3 updates from the App World: BBM, Twitter and BB app World. So I did them all of course, reboot my phone and when it started again: No more SMS icon. My messages were always separated and all. Tried looking for the show all option, isn't there since I never hid anything. I did not delete or hide the icon by mistake...
I updated my app world because it needed updating and now, it's gone. I've looked everywhere, I've battery flipped it and I still can't find it :-( It's installed though because it is in my applications!
For some reason, the icon has disappeared from my 9800 - I have removed the battery and rebooted - but its still not there. Now trying to redownload from the Blackberry website OTA.
Shortly after installing BB Protect on my Tour, I noticed that my BB App World menu icon had disappeared. Don't know if the 2 events are related. Did a wipe and re-install to no avail. Sprint Tech Support unable to help. restoring my lost BB App World menu icon?
I just lost my BB App World icon after doing the recommended update to version 1.1.0.35. I downloaded it twice but the icon is nowhere to be found. I know the application is on my phone, when I go to "options" and then "Applications" I see it listed. Just can't find the icon to open it. Usually I can find stuff in the Download folder. I have software version v5.0.0.405 (Platform 5.1.0.112)
I now go to the my world section of appworld and it says no downloads. I am very unhappy about that. Thankfully I was able to find most of the apps I downloaded in the download folder, but one of them reset and I don't have the activation code or the record that I bought that particular app since my world has no record of it.
I am another one who suffered in the update. I now go to the my world section of appworld and it says no downloads. I am very unhappy about that. Thankfully I was able to find most of the apps I downloaded in the download folder, but one of them reset and I don't have the activation code or the record that I bought that particular app since my world has no record of it.
I updated my app world yesterday and since it has rebooted my phone won't work it is stuck on the screen I can't use my trackpad or go to the menu but I have tried taking the battery out and it's still the same and it's been on charge all day but I only have a iPad 2 so can't plug my phone to the computer.
I have a Blackberry Curve 8310.I tried to follow the instructions on a similar post and go to my address book to change the contact directions, However I lost my icon for the Address Book for some reason.how to make everything operable again?
On my Tour the BB App World Icon shows that I have upgrades available for some of my apps. When I open App World and click on the apps and select upgrade I get "<app name> is not available for download from app world" The three apps are Monopoly, WeatherBug Elite, and Quickpull Free which are all supported by app world.
I can access blackberry App World but cannot access my world. It says load latest blackberry ID then go to UPDATE but after that it gives an error : "Sorry, there is no compatible version of Blackberry ID available at this time"
I have somehow lost the icon for "contacts". My contacts are still there, I can find them by searching but don't have an icon on my home page (or anywhere else) to click on to add new contacts or find old ones. Can anyone advise what I've done? I've tried synching with my laptop but that hasn't brought the icon back, and I've powered off. I backed up to the cloud earlier but am a bit bothered about trying a full restore! Besides, the contacts icon was missing when I last backed up, so it probably wouldn't come back anyway!
I have been having a problem where the email widget is not updating except when I reboot. the email is working and syncing but the widget itself is not showing the new mail. The gmail one is working fine. Also the calender widget does not change dates until reboot. If all else fails Reset I guess but I am trying to avoid that. I have a Canadian Xoom running Android 3.2 no Root.
I've bought a couple SFX tones from the iTunes Store directly from my phone and assigned them as my ringtone and text tones. They work fine until I turn the phone off and back on.   Then they disappear from the settings list.   I backed up my phone after purchasing them last time and I have them in my library and it shows that they're in my tones on my phone from iTunes on my Mac... but they aren't showing on my phone anywhere.  Â
I have noticed that every time I reboot my phone once its back on all my contacts that I have loaded in my phone book since I received my blackberry (not the original phone numbers on my sim) are gone. I lose them every time. Why does that happen? All my contacts are actually missing but I can still save my sim contacts back onto my face but seriously this is annoying and not why I got this phone so I can spend 30 min getting my numbers visible again and also losing all new. I have to now save them on paper.
I recently got the HTC One X on 3. I have been having issues with the signal. At my house I receive full service from 3. Every now and then the signal drops and I get Emergency Only calls & that is how the phone remains. If I power off the phone the signal is recovered back up to full strength. The same issues happen if I am driving, sometimes going through an area that has no signal and then returning to a full signal area the phone fails to recover this signal unless rebooted.
This however does not happen every time which does seem strange. I have been told by HTC that they have not heard of this issue before, and all they can do is repair the phone. The phone is barely two weeks old and has to be repaired!!! Not good. I previously had a Desire and had very few issues apart from lack of phone memory. Is it 3 that have issues, which seems unlikely to me, or is it the phone. If I send it away for a repair I will be without a phone which is very annoying to say the least. I really don't know what to do.
Zumocast on Windows 7 and retrieving files from Droid Bionic. I open the client on Windows 7 and under Manage Content, I click the Add Folder button and select the folders to index. The folders are the Pictures, Music, Videos, and Documents library folders in Windows 7. Content is picked up on the Droid (although I do see some problems with directories that contain a large number of files) but after I reboot the Windows 7 machine and reopen the Zumocast client on Windows 7, the folders are lost and I have to add all of them back again. I tried adding a folder that was not a Windows library type folder and saw the same problem - after a reboot all the folders I specified to index are lost.
When updateed software I lost all my purchased apps frm bbm app world niw app world has no history of any of my downloads or apps how to get this straighten out?
My app world told me an upgrade was available (3.1.0.58) for my bold 9780. I am using software 6.0.0.294. Once I installed app world upgrade and bbm upgrade the icons disappeared. I've tried reinstalling them, battery pull, all the usual tricks.
