Oct 22, 2014I was trying to upload my pics in one drive and apparently it restarted my system. This happened twice.

View 2 RepliesI know that in the recent past, the Lumina 1020 couldn't auto upload raw files to SkyDrive. I was just wondering if anything has changed now that it's OneDrive. Is it now possible to auto upload our raw files to OneDrive?
I am hoping that we could essentially take pictures (away from our computers and cables) and just delete the photos to make room on the phones (knowing that they are safely backed up on OneDrive).
I've only had my Lumia 1020 for a few weeks after deciding that I was bored with Android. In fact, just returned from Paris where I spent Christmas with the family. Sadly, over the period of my stay there WiFi was scarce so when I checked if my snaps had synched or not I saw that it was waiting for WiFi. Now I've been home a few days with a good WiFi connection in surprised too see that very few pictures have uploaded and that there's no uploads pending. I've checked the backup setting screen and all is as it should be, but there's no option to stay or force the upload. One thing I lived with Android was the Google+ photo section that synched instantly and was ready sand waiting straight away.... Looks like Windows 8.1 isn't as automatic,
View 6 Replies View RelatedIf I click share to Onedrive from the photos hub, does it send the full 34mp photo or the smaller 5mp? Just trying to prepare my phone for a hard reset as it's become so unreliable after installing 8.1.
View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since using the 8.1 dev preview, I noticed something odd about the photo sizes up my camera roll folder on OneDrive. I currently have my backup settings for "best quality (wi-fi only)" for pictures (videos are not backed up). However, ALL photo sizes are around 10 MB, and the dimensions confirm that it is the hi-res 38 MP shots being backed up, not the 5 MP oversampled photos. This never happened prior to the 8.1 preview.

I check option in Onedrove to uplad photos in high resolution but it upload 5MB photos and 34MP photos leave on the phone, and I need manually to move them from time to time. Is there any option to move them automatically as same way as Ondrive upload 5MP photos?
View 10 Replies View RelatedHow do you reboot the Lumia 1020 after it freezes? I had it freeze once before and it eventually restarted after maybe 10 minutes.
I just updated my phone and it worked fine but all of a sudden it seems to be locked up. The glance display works, but no button works. If I plug in the charger, the log in display shows but it froze once I put in the 4th digit. Now it shows all digits once the display turns off and I plug it back in.
Twice so far my Lumia 1020 has rebooted itself. Both times it was charging. In addition to this it has gone black and required a soft reset twice. Once while not in actual use and once while streaming Pandora. My 920 was rock solid and this has me a little concerned.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been having random power down / reboot issues with my Lumina 1020 for a few months now, usually once every 24 hours.. They haven't caused any issues on 8.0 (black update) as after the random power down the phone just rebooted and was left on the access point select screen, thus meaning alarms still go off and the correct time maintained.
Since I tried the 8.1 preview the phone would randomly power down (usually once every 24 hours) but not reboot and would remain off and would require a soft reset (vol down + power) to reboot. The downside here is alarms don't go off and calls are missed etc.
I currently have a new sim on order to rule out the sim (note the sim I use has previously been cut down to nano and now sits in a micro adaptor), the sim may work bu I don't hold out to much hope.
Couple weeks ago I updated my phone to a windows 10 preview (I forgot the build number) and it installed fine. As expected there were some bugs, so I read online on how to fix them after restarting my phone and doing a soft reset, it didn't work. I then had to do a factory reset- or a hard reset. It then threw my phone into a perpetual state of spinning cogs and a never-ending battle that is so close to lost I can feel the defeat seeping in like a plague. I've connected it to my computer to do the NSRT but my phone only sees it as a power source. I've taken the battery out, brought it to the Microsoft store, and I've even tried to hack into it via computer. However the same problem shows every time:
View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I got this problem with my 1020's camera: when I use Lumia Camera, sometimes the app hangs after the first snap and won't respond unless I reboot my phone. Even if I close it through the task manager, the camera will be unusable upon restarting the app and the lens cover stays open until I reboot and successfully snap a picture afterwards.
I've already encountered it three times this week -_- I'm running PfD on latest OS, firmware version, and Lumia Camera app btw.
I have had the phone for half a week, love everything about it, but the screen sensitivity.
Many times when using it, it will think I have touched the screen even though my thumb is 1/2 to 1/4 inch above the screen.
Already got the Denim update for the 1020? At first I thought my 1020 has the faux Denim update, but I have the live folders and apps corner per the update. When I bought the phone, I just updates incessantly without reading the descriptions.
Some webpages loads quite slow on the Denim update. I thought the update supposed to speed up mobile webpages? Mobile websites which uses a fancy navigation like joystiq.com loads quite slow and incomplete. Also, some pictures load slower than what I expected on desktop mode, and I'm using wi-fi for connection. Is it normal?
I have had my Atrix for about a month. The phone is fast and responsive which is really great after having a dog slow phone before this one. But I have a love/hate relationship so far. One big issue is that my music player will not keep playing, it will randomly stop playing and I half to restart it. Also sometimes the music player will cause the phone to reboot. This problom used to be really bad but I found a bug causing some of the Problems.
1. Removed Battery and waited a few minutes to reinstall battery. No change still reboots after a few minutes of using the Music Player
2. Tried downloading another music player PlayerPro to use instead of the default one. No Change still Reboots
3. Next I tried doing a Factory Data Reset. Now the default music player played for about an hour for the first time.
4. Redownloaded most of the Apps I had (At least the ones I could remember). Music Player still playing.
5. Started modifing a couple of the OS Settings>etc... Player still playing
6. Until I got to the setting Settings>Applications>Development>Check Stay Awake while Charging. Now the phone rebooted two times in less than 15 minutes while playing Music. Went back and unchecked the stay awake setting and the Music Player is playing again. So can this bug with this Stay Awake while Charging option please be fixed. I hate for the screen to cut off while I am reading a book. I can plug it in and leave the screen on as long as I want.
7. Now the music player is playing but still after 1+ hours of play time Randomly the music player will stop and/or Reboot the phone.
checked the settings and it showing that the photos should be be automatically uploaded to onedrive but thats not happening, not sure if ive overlooked a setting
View 12 Replies View RelatedAll my various folders from my tablet's OneDrive were transferred automatically to my Nokia Lumia's OneDrive. However, all the files in my "Favourites" folder show as only 1kb each and have the words "Just me" under each entry. None of them will open. When I try to open one, a warning comes up stating:" We couldn't open the file. Make sure you're connected to a Wi-Fi network" (Which of course I am). Maybe I need an app to open these "Favourite" websites. But which one?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've long since gotten rid of my NAS and moved to Onedrive and Netflix and so far I'm loving 'Ze Cloud'! However one feature I'd love to see (and I'm hoping exists) is the ability to not just play music from your Onedrive folder (which some apps can already do) but have a music folder that syncs to your phone and physically downloads whatever is in that folder to your phone's music folder. At this stage my music folder is linked on all my PCs but when I want to update my phone (to play in my car when reception isn't available) I still have to physically find and connect a cable. It's not a major annoyance but it'd be far more seamless if done over the wifi etc.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy battery ran out so I plugged my 1020 into a charger and it started turning on then showing the no battery icon then off then on again and now that I connected it to my pc all it does is show the nokia then turn off then show the nokia again. Lumia 1020 black screen (no response etc) and have to reset the phone?
I did not have this since like last week. Sometimes the phone would reboot itself and now it's going to dark screen and I can't wake it.
Nokia Lumia 1020 shows wrong date and time after reboot. The real time and date are 09.12 on 5 Feb 2014. After rebooting my phone showed 12.36 on 20 July. Shut down and restarted and now shows 14.32 on 25 Jan.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday I spent a couple hours taking some photographs and came home to do some design work and I left the 1020 charged in. Yet as the day went on, the phone never charged, it continued to go down, even plugged in. I tried plugging in the camera extension but even with that it eventually discharged to 4% then stuck there, plugged in. When I'd unplug, I would get the critical battery warning. I tried rebooting twice, and finally on the 2nd reboot, the battery level went to 100%.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI get a pop-up that says: "Ultra Stamina Mode Repair" Then my phone turns off and keeps restarting.
I know using Pc Companion to fix that, but it will factory reset my phone.
Could you change the design, maybe you can let the user to decide whether or not to reboot phone.
That will avoid rebooting again and again.
SMS backup app to back up SMS to one drive??
View 4 Replies View RelatedAlright, been playing around with the 950 since yesterday and am noticing that none of my photos will sync to OneDrive. I have everything properly configured, but am seeing this error in the "Camera" pivot of the Progress menu in the OneDrive app:
"Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again in a few minutes."
I've got 1.24 TB free space available out there, so that's not a problem. Photos sync fine via USB, so they're in good shape.
If I reformat my SD card in my ATT 950 (since it seems to be wreaking all sorts of having since I installed it), will the pictures that have been uploaded to OneDrive still contain the "Living Images" 1 second video clip?
Alternatively, is there a way to move the pictures/videos from the SD to the internal storage, reformat the SD card, and then move them back without having them re-uploaded to OneDrive after moving them?
Is there an app to stream my music from OneDrive?
