So my unlocked torch 9810 is on OS 18.104.22.1685 and when ever i reboot it or do a batterypull it only boots 2 thirds of the boot sequence and stops, the only way i've got it to boot it connect it to my pc, as soon as i do that it comtinues booting and loads like a charm.
My blackberry started booting and it never completes this process. I have waited and the bar never passes letter "e" in blackberry. I have waited a lot of time and also tried taking out the battery and rebooting it again. What can I do? Is there a way to reset my phone manually?
About a week ago my bb was dropped into a cup of tea (which had sugar and milk in) and I quickly took out the battery and stuck it in a bowl of uncooked rice for a few days. It was working about 2 days ago, except the keyboard was sticky so I turned it off and got some isopropyl alcohol cleaner and followed some instructions on how to open it all up and clean it which I did.
Before I cleaned it, I turned it on and the loading screen came up, only it gets to about 5 or 10 percent then restarts itself which it then proceeds to do over and over. I have looked into this problem and it seems I need to reinstall the os, even though it wont stay on long enough to connect through usb? Is there anything else you guys think I should do? I have read somewhere to dip the whole phone into the alcohol then leave for a few days to dry?
I was downgrade the OS and the PC restart automatic during the process and it now won't turn on anymore. All it does now is blinking twice in RED LED. DM not detect it and nothing on the screen. Is there anyway to recover this phone?
I mistakenly tried to do migration from my windows pc to my new Macbk air without first setting up mac. Suspecting task not rightly done (no pop up window to ask which files etc to transfer), I cancelled while it was transferring. Now my mac is doing the 'cleaning' process but has not stopped for over 12 hours. What shall I do? Can I restart mac and stop the cleaning process?
opying contacts from a Bold 9810 to another 9810.Using the BB Desktop Software I did a full backup of the device (which contained 400+ contacts), then did a full restore on a new 9810, but only 200 contacts were copied over.Next I tried to do a selective restore, but although the 400+ contacts were in the file, it was grayed out and could not be selected. How can I get all the contacts into the new 9810. (Side note: I was able to restore the 400+ contacts to a BB Bold).
this issue has probably been addressed before, but I could not find the thread. Yesterday I updated two apps that I received from BB App world (I only download from there) After the apps updated, my BB restarted without being prompted to do so. Now it goes to the BB load screen, completes the bar and then just freezes. Believe it or not I was going to back it up after these two minor updates. I had to wipe the phone last month when it started looping when booting.Look the bottom line is I have spent A LOT of time replacing 2 months worth of contacts and data (and I have a lot of text messages that need to be saved) and I DO NOT wish to do it again.Is there a way that I can force it to finish loading - so I can connect to BM long enough to back everything up I did manage to connect once to the BM and it said that there was an update available - but the last time I forced an update (when I was in a boot loop), I lost everything. I have tried doing the safe mode thing - but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right because it has never worked for me! I even looked up that I was using the right "escape" button. I bought a BB Torch 9860 a week back. Yesterday night the handset got switched off as the battery had exhausted. In the morning when I was trying to switch it on it was not coming on. I put on charging, there was no indication of charging for some time then it started booting. The booting indicator (the line which indicates that the handset is being booted) went half way and stopped. The system did not respond to switch off button. The battery was removed and put back to restart. Every time it boots to half line and hangs.
I just saw the torch at at&t store and I have to get it. The question is I live outside US and I need to get it unlocked.Now, I saw that at at&t store, they are selling the torch for 499 dollars without contract. I am sure this is locked.If I can get this phone (I know I need to get someone with at&t to go with me to buy it), I can unlock it. This is for sure, right?
I see that some sites are selling it for 599 and 699 dollars but I dont want to pay the extra amount if I can get it unlocked.
I tried updating blackberry msg, twitter and blackberry protect through app world, it asked for a reset after the installation, the phone got stuck on the boot screen, did battery pull a couple of times and still it was getting stuck at that exact point, finally reloaded the OS and it still didnt bulge, tried a couple of other OS downgrades and it's still stuck on the boot screen at that exact point
I have noticed that in the last months the battery of my Torch 9800 gets drained in less than a day without using the phone. I tried rebooting the phone by pulling the battery out, and curiously the battery charge went from 7% to 50%. I have tried this more than once and it always works.
I have a Lumia 950 and the finishing touches can take 5-8 seconds sometimes. Normally it is not a big deal but it can stop me from taking more than ~12 shots close together.
A few questions for Lumia 950xl owners: 1. How long does the picture finishing touches take approx? 2. With rich capture on, can you take quite a few more than 12 in succession before you see a Saving screen? 3. Once you see the Saving screen how long does must you wait before taking another shot?
I've had my Xoom for 3 weeks now. It worked okay with no error messages until last week. Everytime I turn it on, it displays this message:The Process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly.Please retry again.Forceclose Report?I have chosen Report and filled that out, but now just hit Forceclose and it resumes and I don't seem to have any problems.
I had an message to say that update 7.10 was now available and decidede to update, I followed the procedure, the update then froze at the point updating your device! I cannot get past that point and the phone is now unusable!
My Torch runs slow most of the time especially when I am writing a text the words take at least 2 to 4 seconds to go on the screen. Also to change screen takes some time as well. Apps open slow as well. I have sufficient free internal memory not much apps just what I need to use, not much for games. What do you think may be going on with this unit. Also I try to connect to BB desktop to get updates if any and back up as frequent as possible, even battery pulls to get a clean restart.
i recently saw on the website my phone can upload os 7.1 so i downloaded it to my pc but when i connect to desktop software and check it says no uploads available. I then tried doing it from the handset via options and again says phone software up to date. I am using os 6 but cant work out why it wont let me update to 7.1
i bought a 9810 and this is what happens: i connect it to the charger, then the red led turns on, eventually it goes off and a little sand watch appears for like 5 seconds, disappears, and the process starts all over again.
I just got a new Blackberry Torch 9810 and it won't let me add contacts. I scan someone's barcode and it says pending on my end but they never receive the request, we tried it the opposite way and it says pending on their phone but I don't receive the request.
I keep getting an "Error 102 Reload Software for furhter information [URL]" message. There is a Reset button below that and when I press it, it just tries to restart my blackberry. It will load to a certain point and then come back to this Error message. I went to the website it suggests and it tells me to go onto my Blackberry Desktop Manager and reload my software. I tried to do this, but my Desktop Manager and my smart phone will not connect and so I can't reload my software.
My BB Torch 9810 is less than 3 months old. Yesterday Morning, I observed that it went off. I thot the battery was down, so I decided to charge it. Then it began the booting and rebooting and has not stopped till now. My BB pin is (personal info removed) perhaps there is something remotely that can be done.
I was so excited to have a Blackberry device and my choice was the Torch 9810 mainly for 3 reasons.
1- The big screen. 2- The touch screen with the sliding keyboard. 3- Latest OS.
As I watched and read so many reviews about it and compared it to the Bold 9900 and the Torch 9860. The reviews for the Torch 9860 were somehow negative, and the sliding keyboard was a win over the Torch 9860. Bold seemed to be a good phone but the bigger screen was again what made me go for the Torch 9810.
For a new Blackberry user like me, I couldn't really figure out much differences between the three phones.
Unfortunately the Torch 9810 is not yet here in Egyptian market and I was about to buy a Bold 9900 till I noticed it would be locked to my carrier and then I changed my mind. I asked a family member to buy the Torch 9810 for me from the UAE and I finally got it one week ago.
