So my unlocked torch 9810 is on OS 7.0.0.585 and when ever i reboot it or do a batterypull it only boots 2 thirds of the boot sequence and stops, the only way i've got it to boot it connect it to my pc, as soon as i do that it comtinues booting and loads like a charm.

My blackberry started booting and it never completes this process. I have waited and the bar never passes letter "e" in blackberry. I have waited a lot of time and also tried taking out the battery and rebooting it again. What can I do? Is there a way to reset my phone manually?

View 4 Replies View Relatedopying contacts from a Bold 9810 to another 9810.Using the BB Desktop Software I did a full backup of the device (which contained 400+ contacts), then did a full restore on a new 9810, but only 200 contacts were copied over.Next I tried to do a selective restore, but although the 400+ contacts were in the file, it was grayed out and could not be selected. How can I get all the contacts into the new 9810. (Side note: I was able to restore the 400+ contacts to a BB Bold).

Yesterday I updated two apps that I received from BB App world (I only download from there) After the apps updated, my BB restarted without being prompted to do so. Now it goes to the BB load screen, completes the bar and then just freezes. Believe it or not I was going to back it up after these two minor updates. I had to wipe the phone last month when it started looping when booting.Look the bottom line is I have spent A LOT of time replacing 2 months worth of contacts and data (and I have a lot of text messages that need to be saved) and I DO NOT wish to do it again.Is there a way that I can force it to finish loading - so I can connect to BM long enough to back everything up I did manage to connect once to the BM and it said that there was an update available - but the last time I forced an update (when I was in a boot loop), I lost everything. I have tried doing the safe mode thing - but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right because it has never worked for me! I even looked up that I was using the right "escape" button. In the morning when I was trying to switch it on it was not coming on. I put on charging, there was no indication of charging for some time then it started booting. The booting indicator (the line which indicates that the handset is being booted) went half way and stopped. The system did not respond to switch off button. The battery was removed and put back to restart. Every time it boots to half line and hangs.

I recently did a factory re-set and it deleted the VPN. I don't have issues with connectivity, browser works fine.
iphone 4 won't turn on. I press top button and still nothing. I plug it in and there is a pic of plug and itunes logo. I hook it to my computer and itunes comes up and says it has detected a iphone in recovery mode. It asked if I want to restore so I hit restore button and it starts extracting. When done extracting, a messages comes up and says this iphone can not be restored error 1656. What can I do now? I bought this phone new in October. It has not been damaged in anyway. It started one morning after charging all night.

I have noticed that in the last months the battery of my Torch 9800 gets drained in less than a day without using the phone. I tried rebooting the phone by pulling the battery out, and curiously the battery charge went from 7% to 50%. I have tried this more than once and it always works.

My blackberry torch got discharged yesterday and it wont just re-charge. I kept it overnight to charge but no joy, tried a different charger but no juice . After some fiddling I see the red light on the device when I plug-in my charger and see the lightning symbol for a few seconds before it gives way to an empty battery with a red cross. 1- The big screen.
2- The touch screen with the sliding keyboard.
3- Latest OS.
As I watched and read so many reviews about it and compared it to the Bold 9900 and the Torch 9860. The reviews for the Torch 9860 were somehow negative, and the sliding keyboard was a win over the Torch 9860. Bold seemed to be a good phone but the bigger screen was again what made me go for the Torch 9810.
For a new Blackberry user like me, I couldn't really figure out much differences between the three phones.
Unfortunately the Torch 9810 is not yet here in Egyptian market and I was about to buy a Bold 9900 till I noticed it would be locked to my carrier and then I changed my mind. I asked a family member to buy the Torch 9810 for me from the UAE and I finally got it one week ago.
