View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Torch 9800 - when I charge it up via the mini USB wall charger, it automatically switches to bedside mode and the clock comes on - I want the clock to appear like that when the backlight times out. I know this will be a battery drainer, but it will be very convenient to pull the phone out of my pocket to check the time - does anyone know of an app that will do this? I've checked several screensavers and they only work until the backlight times out
View 4 Replies View Relatedmy blackberry torch 9800 ear speaker hasnt worked in a while but it didnt bother me much because i would just put it on speaker and i could hear fine. recently my backlight (what it seems to be) has stoped working and i can barley see what i am doing on my phone. my phone still works fine besides those flaws but i would still really like to get it fixed.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my Blackberry Torch now for about 10months and last week i think i may have got it slightly wet after i tried to answer the phone when getting out of the bath. Since then it has been ok but last night when i slid open the screen everything went black. As soon as i slide the screen shut it works again! This basically means that i can only use the phone as a touch screen phone when it is down (which isn't good for me as I always text using the keypad when it is slided open).I called o2 and they said before they send it off to be repaired that i should try upgrading all of the latest BB software as that might fix it. I have never had any upgrades but will this really be able to fix my screen? Is there any other way i can try and fix the phone myself?

My 5800 has been working fine for about 8 months now, recently it has been cutting out randomly. Last night it locked then froze, I turned it on and off and now it works fine but the backlight never turns off so it is constantly bright. Very annoying because it is draining the battery, and I never know when I have got a message or anything because all the button lights are always on too.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought Nokia C3-00, I am having a problem with WLAN, when I connect and start browsing, the phone goes off. I complained here this is the reply I got:
It may be worth your while to perform a soft reset on youre device. You can do this by entering *#7780# into your phone's keypad and when promted, enter 12345.
This will not delete data from your device. But after I tried this, the problem is still there. and now while I'm charging the battery, the backlight is on and won't do power saving. It takes very long for the battery to charge.
I think I have had this issue since I upgraded to os 5 .411. What happens is while my screen's black or even in standby, the backlight goes on by itself for a few seconds. This interrupts even auto standby. My uncles 8900 didn't have this issue till yesterday when I upgr his bb to os 5 as well. I'm forced to turn my bb upside down at nighttime.
View 14 Replies View RelatedRight now as I type this my keypad light is off. I was also just reading an email and after a few seconds the screen just started to fade and eventually went dark. I had to hit the trackpad to get back on. I've got my backlight dim set to no.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt's about 2 months that I have a Blackberry Bold 9900, and I am new to Blackberry overall.I am having trouble turning off the backlight. The light stays on all the time. When I lock my phone, the backlight will go off for 2 seconds and then it'll come back on. I tried playing with all the settings in the options Screen Display, and nothing seems to turn it off.

View 2 Replies View Related I've a problem with my new sony product, I was in swimming pool after taking some photos the phone stop working, and the screen blinking and can not boot up the phone, after checking it I notice that there is some water in the back camera cover. So i waited about 5 hours and tried to recharge it, then trying to boot it I heard the startup sound with no data on the screen!I noticed that the screen/touch working but there's no back-light!
then I shuttled it down and wait again, after booting the screen has no data and the startup sound works, ( Also there is no vibration anymore! )
I tried to use the small off button but no way! I've also upgraded it via PC Companion but still have the same issue!!I don't know what to do the phone is new...
To conserve battery should this be checked? I've heard that if you check the box it runs your battery down quicker.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my SGS5 for a month now - great phone.
But suddenly today the backlight went out, i pulled the battery, waited a couple of minutes, reinserted it and turned the phone back on.
I can barely see the Samsung logo, it looks like the screen is set to 1% brightness (as close to complete dark as it will go). I hear the boot sound, but it's just to dark/black to do anything from here.
Is my device faulty? I cant enter recovery mode because it's nearly pitch black.
My sister has an S5 and got it wet. She thought it was dead but turns out the backlight only works now when it is turned all the way up. The issue with thar is that max brightness drains the battery quite well. Any way of fixing the backlight? I tried Lux auto brightness and that just turned the brightness down, which made the light turn off as it does when adjusted manually.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI swear I saw this setting somewhere, but I didn't pay attention to it because I didn't have a docking station at the time. I would like the backlight to stay on while it is charging or in the docking station, but I can't find the settings for it anymore. Where is the setting for this?

My phone was working perfectly up until now when I realized the backlight won't turn on!
I can see the screen but it's crazy dim I have to put it to a light to see anything at all. Tried brightness, obviously didn't work.
The phone was in my bra/shirt for several hours. I'm thinking maybe the phone overheated? Not sure.
Other than trying to reset/restore the phone which I heard usually doesn't work, and changing the LCD, what can I do to fix it that doesn't include opening up the phone?

New user to HTC Inspire 4G. Know about the light sensor and that in bright-ish light, the menu bar turns off. I am looking to keep this on when the screen is on...I can't believe it uses THAT much power, and it's nearly impossible to see the menu bars otherwise.tings? Market Aps, etc? (I don't have any issues with the auto brightness control for the screen, just the turning off of the 4 menu positions).

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen in dim light the key the keypad light is not coming on when I press any key. I have looked in the manual, tried different settings for the sensor and looked at online forums. No solution exists. The only way to make it work is by blocking the sensor with your finger. Obviously this is not a good solution. Is this a malfunction or is Nokia stupid to design the phone like this? On any model of Nokia on the press of a key the keypad backlight should come on.
