Feb 12, 2015My new S5 works perfectly aside from the Wi-Fi hotspot feature. When I try to turn the wireless hotspot on it just turns off by itself. Sometimes it lasts a minute before switching off, lulling me into a sense of false hope before my dreams of connectivity are dashed.

Google Nexus 5 :: Phone Turns On But Immediately Shuts Off
May 22, 2014Having issue since last night. Battery was 60% approximately. I followed the holding power and volume button and it goes to "restart bootloader" then suddenly nexus shuts off within 5 sec itself. Some times it goes to "Power Off" option but my nexus 5 suddenly shuts down within 5 sec itself. I tried several different chargers including the "official" one that came with the phone, but won't work.

Apr 15, 2015Three or four days after a phone restart, I cannot turn WiFi off, it immediately turns back on. Seems like one app is doing this, how do I find it?
Details: I have an HTC One M7 on Sprint. It’s not rooted. After the recent update to Android Lollipop, I cannot turn the WiFi off.
It’s not as black-and-white as it would first appear, the WiFi on/off feature will work for 2, 3, or 4 days after the phone is hard restarted.
During the initial 2, 3, 4 day period of time, (it’s inexact, I’m still experimenting) WiFi on/off works fine. After the 2, 3, 4 day period of time, the off won’t work. What I see in settings, the Wi-Fi On/Off button with the green triangle never goes to off. On the settings screen when you two-finger swipe-down, the square WiFi icon when clicked, the concentric power waves will turn off for a second or two, then come right back on. And the WiFi icon in the status bar constantly shows a connection when trying to turn off.
BB Bold :: 9900 WiFi Immediately Turns Off - Network Scanning Attempt Fails
Mar 31, 2010Our company was able to receive the new Bold 9900 but it seems there is an issue with activating wifi on the device. Have tried turning on Wifi, but it attempts scanning for networks then eventually fails and turns wifi off. It doesn't even list any active access points. Doing a battery pull and reset the device to factory defaults does not seem to do the trick. I am thinking it could be a defective device or perhaps a software issue.

Dec 31, 2010so I dropped my phone from a height of about 2 feet today. The back came off and the battery fell out. I put the battery back in and turned on the phone. It vibrated signalling it was turning on, then the backlight came on, then the backlight switched off, and that was it.Now the backlight turns on and off periodically. I can't do anything with it. It won't connect to the computer or chargeI've only had the phone for 4 days. There's no wear and tear damage and no scratches or bumps from the fallI've tried the software update, but that didn't work.I'm wondering is there a way to fix it?Do I just leave turn on & off till it sorts itself out?

Nov 7, 2014In the last week my phone stared acting up and I'm not always able to wake the screen. The backlight turns on, but nothing else is showing. Sometimes I need to press the power button few times and it turns on, sometimes 30 times. Sometimes horizontal colored lines appear.

Feb 14, 2012I have had my Blackberry Torch now for about 10months and last week i think i may have got it slightly wet after i tried to answer the phone when getting out of the bath. Since then it has been ok but last night when i slid open the screen everything went black. As soon as i slide the screen shut it works again! This basically means that i can only use the phone as a touch screen phone when it is down (which isn't good for me as I always text using the keypad when it is slided open).I called o2 and they said before they send it off to be repaired that i should try upgrading all of the latest BB software as that might fix it. I have never had any upgrades but will this really be able to fix my screen? Is there any other way i can try and fix the phone myself?

Jun 2, 2011i've had my Blackberry torch for less than 24 hours and i am already having problems. It was working fine until i had synced some music onto it from my pc. When i disconnected it, it flashed red in the LED indicator and turned off then rebooted. Problem is, it will reboot then turn on and verify the security software, it will stay on for about 7 seconds, then the LED flashes again, turns off, reboots and does the whole thing over and over continuously. However, when i connect it to the computer in the few seconds it is actually on, it appears to work fine and I don't have this problem at all. It starts again as soon as i take the USB out though. Oh, and I have done a battery pull & it didn't make a difference & the phone is 100% charged.

Nov 4, 2011It turns off whenever I try to use the browser or the camera without fail and other random times. In these instances, it doesn't not show a battery drained shutting down warning. It has to be charging in order for it to reboot, but once it does the battery reads that it is 100% charged. Being on a phone call will drain a full battery in less than 5 mins, and it will flash the empty battery and say radio too low for handset use or whatever. In this case, I can charge it and it goes through the usual process where the light turns yellow and the bar slowly fills up. If I do a battery pull at this time, it restarts fully charged. The time it lasts out of the wall is anywhere from 5 mins-1 hour. I have no 3rd party applications and I did a complete device reset last month due to the same problems. I don't know much about software, but it says everything is up to date.
