Apr 15, 2015Three or four days after a phone restart, I cannot turn WiFi off, it immediately turns back on. Seems like one app is doing this, how do I find it?
Details: I have an HTC One M7 on Sprint. It’s not rooted. After the recent update to Android Lollipop, I cannot turn the WiFi off.
It’s not as black-and-white as it would first appear, the WiFi on/off feature will work for 2, 3, or 4 days after the phone is hard restarted.
During the initial 2, 3, 4 day period of time, (it’s inexact, I’m still experimenting) WiFi on/off works fine. After the 2, 3, 4 day period of time, the off won’t work. What I see in settings, the Wi-Fi On/Off button with the green triangle never goes to off. On the settings screen when you two-finger swipe-down, the square WiFi icon when clicked, the concentric power waves will turn off for a second or two, then come right back on. And the WiFi icon in the status bar constantly shows a connection when trying to turn off.

Mar 31, 2010Our company was able to receive the new Bold 9900 but it seems there is an issue with activating wifi on the device. Have tried turning on Wifi, but it attempts scanning for networks then eventually fails and turns wifi off. It doesn't even list any active access points. Doing a battery pull and reset the device to factory defaults does not seem to do the trick. I am thinking it could be a defective device or perhaps a software issue.

HTC One M7 :: Phone Turns Off When Not On Power And Screen Is Unlocked
Nov 11, 2015Basically my phone slowly started turning off(no shutdown just straight off) after long periods in the car using the SatNav even when it still had over 40% power on the battery.
Eventually the other day it just started turning off every time I tried to open maps (whilst lost in some random suburb!)
And now if the phone is plugged on charge I can do whatever I want with it, as soon as I take it off charge it will stay on until I unlock the screen and try to do anything (swipe or open an app.) Immediately I though the battery was to blame but why would it stay on until I did something?
Now the stranger part, if I start my music, start the satnav etc whilst its plugged in then unplug it, as long as I don't unlock or do anything on the screen the phone will continue to work. I can even start and stop music, skip tracks from the lock screen, even unlock and lock it again, as soon as I try to load an app, boom it just goes black, not even a shut down, just straight to black.

Jan 24, 2010The battery life on my phone has been amazing. HOWEVER today I had about one bar left on the battery indicator and my phone just shut off unexpectedly when I was on a phone call. I couldn't get it to turn on so I did a battery pull and it did. Then... when I turned it back on it said "Power to Low for Radio Use".I'm a newbie to the BlackBerry world so: Do our phone just shut of with no warning? Is the "Power to Low for Radio Use" a normal thing? I would think there would be some kind of low battery warning before our phone just dies.

Jul 11, 2010I haven't seen anyone having this issue out of the numerous ones I've seen on this site. My iPhone 4's screen was sometimes going black. Hitting the home or power button wouldn't turn it back on. I'd have to hold down the home and power buttons to do a hard reboot to get it back up.
I returned my phone yesterday to get replaced because I was also having the No SIM Card Installed error. My new iPhone 4 is having the same black screen issue occasionally, though.

Mar 18, 2010I have a 8350i through Nextel. A couple of weeks ago my BB shut itself off and then turned itself back on. I did not think much of it until it started happening very frequently. When I say frequently, I mean every 10 minutes. Quite frustrating for a phone that I use for work. I took it to a local service department but they did not know what was going on so they just swiped the software and reloaded it. This resolved the issue for about 24 hours and then it has started again. It was sporadic again with about a day between each one but it has since become a very frequent issue again. It is happening about 5 times a day that I know of.I am currently running Version 4.6.1.313.

2) Sickly WiFi connection. Having setup connection for some 3 months and no problem with my BT Home Hub it has decided now that it won't - at least not directly through the WEP id. It will however connect to the BTFon or Openzone!!!!!! Nothing has changed that I'm aware of but the phone seems to hang on 'getting IP address'. I've tried resetting the Home Hub, taking out the HTC battery and re-entering WEP info but nothing works. Can't connect to my own WiFi.
