Im havin a lil trouble wid the the backlight on my device...wen im on the desktop..the display doesnt go off..my settings for display backlight time out is set to 10 secs...dis doesnt happen when i reboot the fone...the backlight goes off after 10 secs..but after making a call or using some applications like contacts or conversations..the same thng happns again..and ive enabled the power saving mode..

View 4 Replies View RelatedIn the last week my phone stared acting up and I'm not always able to wake the screen. The backlight turns on, but nothing else is showing. Sometimes I need to press the power button few times and it turns on, sometimes 30 times. Sometimes horizontal colored lines appear.
I tried with the factory data reset, thinking it's a software issue, but it didn't work.
The only thing I found was this article related to the Ultra Z model, but with my same problem [URL] ...., but no solution.
after replacing lcd myself, backlight is on but no display. Any ideas?

I dont know why now my display doesnt switch from vertical to horizontal view, even shaking it.- Only goes horizontal when I slide out the keyboard, or when the camera is loaded, Maybe the cause is some misconfiguration or the sensor is faulty ?

The phone charger that comes with the phone DOESN'T WORK! It never worked from the start, and I had to use the USB charger from my computer to N97 Mini. Okay, so that may be a solution. However, I am travelling abroad for a conference soon. How am I suppose to bring my computer along with USB charger and everything if I was to travel light. For those people who is going ot suggest, try and plug the USB charger to other computer. Here is the problem. I've tried my entire office computers after office hour. ONLY 1 computer manage to charge for 1 hr before it 'automatically' disconnects. The rest only recognize the PC suit and Mass memory... but NOT the charging.

Last night it locked then froze, I turned it on and off and now it works fine but the backlight never turns off so it is constantly bright. View 4 Replies View RelatedI installed the latest Nokia OS for my N86 yesterday, v 21.006. I now find that the BBC iPlayer doesn't work. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled, and downloaded fresh videos of Dr Who etc, etc.
But still I get the error message "unable to play either sound or video clip, Trying to play partially." And then all i get is the sound of Dr Who fighting the daleks. This all worked fine before I applied the update. I can still watch videos recorded using the camera, and via the France 24 application.
I will call Nokia Helpline, but am expecting to get told that this is due to a problem with the BBC iPlayer.
n97 just updated new firmware music doesnt work now, it takes 20 minutes to search for files and nothing updatesmusic library, i go to file manager and can see the music in the folder and it plays one song at a time. wish i hadnt bothered. so looking forward to the samsung galaxy s

The problem is that it does not display Cell Info display correctly. Only few times it shows, But only for sometime. Is this bug fixed in the latest version 5.44 ???? and it also has the signal problem .. If i put it in my pocket , the whole signal goes away in both sims....
When in dim light the key the keypad light is not coming on when I press any key. I have looked in the manual, tried different settings for the sensor and looked at online forums. No solution exists. The only way to make it work is by blocking the sensor with your finger. Obviously this is not a good solution. Is this a malfunction or is Nokia stupid to design the phone like this? On any model of Nokia on the press of a key the keypad backlight should come on.

I've looked on the forum and cant find anything that relates to this so hoping someone can help/advise. Ive had this phone about a week now and have noticed a few problems:
1. The music player hangs almost every time i use it - have to turn off the phone to get it to work again.
2. The alarm function doesnt seem to work when on charge?
3. There seems to be a lot of lag using the menus and apps on the phone.
Is anyone else having these problems or is it a faulty phone I have?
