The screen has an area of brighter backlight in its center. Looks like a brighter horizontal line, especially on white backgrounds. So the most material apps are very uncomfortable to use!

View 3 Replies View RelatedIn the last week my phone stared acting up and I'm not always able to wake the screen. The backlight turns on, but nothing else is showing. Sometimes I need to press the power button few times and it turns on, sometimes 30 times. Sometimes horizontal colored lines appear.
I tried with the factory data reset, thinking it's a software issue, but it didn't work.
The only thing I found was this article related to the Ultra Z model, but with my same problem [URL] ...., but no solution.
My camera creates a pink area in the center of the image. I' running official 2.3.5.

Yesterday, I dropped my nexus 5 and now my screen won't display anything any more. But the backlight works and so does phone (i know the phone still works because my alarms still are going of) What do you (people on the forum) think is wrong with my phone. Do i need a whole new display and touchscreen or is there just a wire that needs to be reconected?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Lumia 1520 that I ordered from China a month ago from Ebay. It's still under the seller's 90-day warranty.I noticed recently two problems:
1) On a white/light background, there are a few brighter spots on the screen.
2) On a black/dark background, when I tap on the phone, there is colour distortion in a few specific areas. Those areas being 1/2 inch above the back button, and on the area of the screen that would be above the camera module. If I drop the phone from a height of a 1/2 inch of so onto a solid surface, these areas become especially pronounced.
I first noticed these problems after I put the "Kaleidio Dual Layer Armor Hybrid" case on the phone. Taking the case off improved the problems, but not completely.
Should I return the phone for a replacement? Or are these problems fairly standard with the Lumia 1520?I absolutely LOVE the Lumia 1520 with Windows 10 installed - it is exactly what I want from a smartphone.
After updating to Lollipop my screen keeps getting brighter by itself. One minute the screen is at the brightest setting, then all of a sudden it gets even brighter. This happens whether or not it's plugged in. Phone seems to get a little hot but that's usually normal for phones these days.

If I shift to landscape mode (by sliding the qwerty keyboard out), then when I press at the top status bar, I can drag the notification area down. Also in locked screen there is in notification area, which one is first and which one is second. It's all about sparing place in notification area.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'v had my Xperia play for exactly a month, today, and just yesterday night I've encountered a problem where about 2/3s down from the top of the screen there a small area from the left side to the right side of the touch screen that doesn't respond. I can't use my Swype feature, and when I switch to the regular Android keyboard I can't hit the "O"button because of it's location (Area where the screen doesn't respond when its vertical or horizontal).
I've been doing some internet hunting and the closest name I've gotten close to is "dead zone"
Is there anyway to make the notification LED brighter? I can't see it sometimes, especially when it's really sunny and bright out.

The capacitive keys at the bottom are much brighter than before denim. Now it maybe something in my eyes, or I just never noticed how bright they were...but I'm sure that before denim, the lights weren't that noticeable.
View 14 Replies View Related I've a problem with my new sony product, I was in swimming pool after taking some photos the phone stop working, and the screen blinking and can not boot up the phone, after checking it I notice that there is some water in the back camera cover.So i waited about 5 hours and tried to recharge it, then trying to boot it I heard the startup sound with no data on the screen!I noticed that the screen/touch working but there's no back-light!
then I shuttled it down and wait again, after booting the screen has no data and the startup sound works, ( Also there is no vibration anymore! )
I tried to use the small off button but no way! I've also upgraded it via PC Companion but still have the same issue!!I don't know what to do the phone is new...
so on my iphone 5 at the bottoms of the screen I can usually pull up a thing I think is called the task center and at the top when you pull it down I think it's called the notification center . I'm dot sure what I did but I accidently pushed something and I don't know what it was but I can't pull those things up anymore.

It vibrated signalling it was turning on, then the backlight came on, then the backlight switched off, and that was it.Now the backlight turns on and off periodically. I can't do anything with it. Now this may have been fine but it's positioning the square image on the top left in a very unpleasant manner. People without contact images have the default picture centered and positioned nicely.

I'm really ticked off because they did not give me any approximate date on when I can get my unit. So last monday I called to the service center to check if I can pick the phone already as one week has past. They said that they will follow it up which makes me think if they are doing something about my phone. Then I called this afternoon (Philippine time), they said that it is in the main service center then I asked, when will I get my phone. Flight control works great, but Farmville isn't even showing up in the game center. Is anyone else having this problem? I deleted farmville and it said it was in the game center so I deleted that setting as well and when I re-downloaded it, it still didn't show up.
