I have doc to go. Can fix with a reboot or battery pull it may run fine for a day or maybe may need to reboot a couple times a day.

Oct 17, 2011I just bought an N97 (not mini). After about 20 or 30 seconds the Maps/GPS application hangs and freezes. I then cannot exit the application. I have to restart my phone to use the application and then again for a few seconds. I have hard and soft reseted my phone, removed the maps folder and the application and downloaded/installed them again. To add insult to injury the Nokia people in MALTA say they cannot help me out because my phone was bought from the far east and is a different version?

Aug 14, 2011After completing a phone call or when the phone times out, it freezes and nothing will unlock it other than pulling the battery out. If I hard press the power button, the Phone Options screen will pop-up but none of the selection will work thru the touch-screen. While the [Phone Options] screen is open I can open the slide keyboard and use the mice-like button to scroll down and take the [Power off] option. Phone will work again after pulling the battery or powering it off thru the keyboard (at least this will save me the time of removing the battery).It seems that both actions (call and time out) send some kind to signal to the screen to lock it. When pressing the power button I will see the slide bar to unlock it but the screen is frozen and nothing will make it work. Luckily for Motorola the phone's warranty just expired (7/28/11).I have done both, Factory data reset and Wipe data/factory reset (Power key + "x") but nothing helped. I have looked out there in we but nothing similar.Does anyone have experienced this? - As you can imagine this is extremely painful and annoying. I ended up increasing the timeout to the max (30 minutes), but obviously jeopardized the battery life. I have to charge the phone almost every 2 hours.

Sep 8, 2010My Sony Ericsson Cybershot C510a was working fine for last 6/7 months.I upgraded to latest firmware 3 months back.& it was working fine. Recently I cant use the phone because: It's keypad. It acts interestingly:
Case 01: After making the phone ON, 40/50 seconds it remains OK, but when I push the down arrow in menu list or in phonebook, It keeps going down & down.
Case 02: when I click on call end button to close anything, it closes that but opens the phonbook.
Case 03: After few minutes, it's keypad freezes/hangs & display shows nothing. I cant bring back the display(Pls note: at that time, when I open the camera slider, display cames again). When a call comes, display comes but I cant receive the call.
I tried master rest, Memory card format, Update service successfully, but problem starts after few minutes.

Aug 9, 2012Recently I have found that my touchscreen as been encountering some problems. First of all it very often freezes and the touchscreen wont respond and if it does it lags behind. But the most annoying thing is the problem I have with the keypad. Whenever I am sending a message, whether that be Facebook or a text using the keypad the line of keys that the space is on will not work. Every other key will work except for that one line.

Jan 2, 2011The text message icon normally disappears once I review the notification or read the text message itself. Same for any type of notification. The trouble is that sometimes the notification icon remains. I receive the notification, activate the icon but the icon remains in the notification area. Reactivating it opens a reply screen with the onscreen keboard. Hitting return does not eliminate the notification.
Cannot tell why it happens some times but it appears to only happen with text messsages. The sole solution is to reboot. A nuisance with corrupt icons. Whose problem, the carrier (Rogers) or BB ?

Jul 9, 2012I have tried soft reboot, double soft reboot, hard reboot (removal and replacement of battery for 10sec to 1hr). Due to the reboot can not connect to computer to assist. Removed the sim and memory card and attempted to reboot with no success.ttempt to reboot in safe-mode failed also. I can not shut down except to remove battery. I have tried being connected to the computer without the battery and then replacing the battery that did not work either. like this model it has all the features I need, I need to have it functional ASAP or I will will have to change the phone and the service provider. Mar 27, 2012I bought a BB Torch 9860 a week back. Yesterday night the handset got switched off as the battery had exhausted. In the morning when I was trying to switch it on it was not coming on. I put on charging, there was no indication of charging for some time then it started booting. The booting indicator (the line which indicates that the handset is being booted) went half way and stopped. The system did not respond to switch off button. The battery was removed and put back to restart. Every time it boots to half line and hangs.

It takes 2-3 minutes before the black box disappears, and the smartphone is useable again. This also happens when I want to use the Torch has gone to "sleep" mode. Nov 8, 2012My Torch will not let me into options. When I click on options it just hangs unless I press the hang-up button. Each time I reboot it I get an uncaught exception error - No Application. Its running the latest approved version of the OS from Orange. It also did this with he previous OS bundle so I do not suspect its a patch issue.

Sep 26, 2011i've had a torch 9800 since last Christmas, and it's been working fine (with the occasional battery pull, of course). but now i have a strange problem. in the last couple weeks, i've noticed that the back arrow and the red key to the right of the trackpad no longer have a light showing behind them. (nor does the trackpad, but i don't remember if it ever did light up) it's not really a problem, as they still work, but it looks really weird!i have tried a battery pull many times, to no avail. and i also tried installing a brand new os, but likewise had no success with that method. in any case, it is now running the newest os possible (6.0 bundle 1907, v6.0.0.448). it's also running 3G, if that matters.

Feb 13, 2010Anyone else notice that the e-mail list seems a little backwards? When I first started using the slide gesture, I thought that things seemed backwards. If I was reading an e-mail, and want to see the next e-mail, I slide my finger from left to right, which makes it seem like I turning a page in a book backwards to get to the next message. But what the hell, this is a new function, so I figured I'd live with it.
Today, for the first time in a long time, I had the slider open, and attempted to use 'n' and 'p' to move to next and previous messages. But these are definitely backwards from what my Bold used to do. 'n' moves "down" the list, meaning it move to the next OLDER message, not the next newer one. I'm not sure how this could be deliberate - it seems very intuitive to me that 'next' being a relative term would be measured by time. So the next e-mail should be the next later e-mail, not the next earlier one.
And if someone knows a way to change the functions, that would be great. Otherwise, do others also perceive this as backwards, or is it just me? Should I try to pursue this as a bug, and have a bug reported to RIM?

Nov 24, 2011I've got a blackberry torch 9800 and recently when the screen is down (i.e. covering the keyboard) the call answer key and the menu key do not work. They work when the phone is raised, but not when it's not. I have tried restarting (both soft and hard) and have removed applications as well. I have since done a 'restore factory settings' on it. This seemed to work for all of 10 or so minutes but there after it reverted back to the keys not working when the cover is down.
