Ever since the Anna update, The E7 freezes when the "other caller" hangs up. This was some time ago addressed in the FAQs "to be resolved with the next update". Well, the update is installed, it still freezes, and the FAQ has disappeared.

It hangs and i have to long press the powe button to shut it down and restarts and then when it comes on.it hangs within the next 30 seconds and this process continues into a routine... I tried softformatting it and it doesnt hang anymore but a new problem is generated... It pratically keeps screaming system error...i can't do much with the phone. I dont know which condition is better anymore,the phone's previous state or its new state...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got E5.00 with 081.004 and c00.01 software. Recently purchased. Few weeks back I have noticed some thing strange. While on the call, the recipients, signals was low and it its loss the connectivity, my phone gets stuck for 2,3 min with disconnect icon. When the icon is gone, I'm not able to make any call till I reset the unit. Also when I select the phone in to offline mode. The phone restart automatically. I did hard reset and .Etc. Still the problem there.

My old E70 is best in that case.This fu... device hangs up always after date change to 1 year past. I do that to install application which has certificate expired .After reset (8 secs. power btn. press) situation is still persist - hangs on pulpit and no reaction for any button but power (8 sec. reset).

Initially the phone used to abruptly hang and would require the battery to be taken out & reinserted to start the phone. After the Firmware update the problem got reduced but now the phone hangs and automatically restarts. This is quite frequent & very irritating. I have tried the hard & soft reset but the problem still remains the same. The firmware that i am using is 054.005 / make - Malaysia.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHaving problems with the E7 caller ID? Randomly the phone doesn't show the callers name, even if he/she is listed on my phonebook. This is not related to duplicate entries, because it works right after phone restart, but fails randomly. The SMS list is also affected, but not all the time. Few times a have seen a call come in and not show the name of the caller. After I have missed that call, I'll go to the missed calls list and there is the name of the caller?!

A couple of days ago (nothing strange happened) this suddenly changed and now I can only see the number of the caller and not the name, which I find quite annoying.

View 1 Replies View RelatedCame back home and rebooted it while it was connected to the charger. Now it won't start. It starts to boot, plays the Nokia hand shake video clip then freezes. I've tried rebooting it while the charger is connected, removed the battery, put it back...everything! Seriously. So, I do not know who's calling me... it just say: Joe. But I have in my adrees book a Joe from Vodafone, a Joe from P&G and some other Joe's. On my old phone, when someone rang me, showed eg. Joe from Vodafone.
after I updated my Nokia E6 to the recent software, it doesnt show the callers names when receiving a call and when receiving an sms. I have to save the same number twice, once with international prefix example +963 (thats for my home country) and once without. When receiving calls it show the name only if saved without the prefix (unless its an international call) and when receiving sms it shows the name only when its saved with the international prefix. I didnt have that problem before the update!

Very often when i receive an SMS , my E72 freezes. The only way to recover from this is to turn phone off and on again.It looks like it happens when the sender is not in my phone-book .. and there is only a 'number' mentioned in 'From'.
(although i still can't update .. because the update for Vodafone branded phones is not available yet ... another BIG let down if u ask me .. Nokia should control this better).I don't know where I can report this problem. Nokia Care employees only know whats in their calling-script.

Also, when i dial a number using the keypad, there is a delay, like, it takes 1-3 seconds between each number i press to display on the screen. View 19 Replies View RelatedSince updating to 410.21.010, my E71 occasionally shows a "Insert SIM card" message.This is rather odd, as it's not feasible to do so (the battery blocks the slot), and the SIM hasn't had any trouble before. Worse still, when this occurs the phone becomes entirely useless - not only can I not access running apps (and the model doesn't require a SIM for that), I can't even turn it off!Upon removal of the battery to forcibly restart the phone, it starts just fine, SIM and all - so the card isn't poorly seated or anything like that.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia E7-00 hangs every time I try to open Application Manager to uninstall applications - it says "scanning memory" and hangs there. Only way to come out of it is to hard reboot the phone. I tried reinstalling the device software from PC Ovi Suite and even though the reinstall completed successfully, it still hangs just the same as before. As a result, I am unable to uninstall ANY applications?

Often when dialing a number (or just entering the digit) that starts with a "1", the phone will freeze, sometimes only recoverable by removing the battery. If you start with any other digit, there is no issue at all.
I have an E71, and about once a day I get this message saying "insert SIM card." This hasnt happened ever not until just maybe a week or 2 ago. It happens almost daily and I have to restart the phone.
